Chapter 301: Bloodshot Eyes

Destiny's Dominion · 第三零一章 血眼

"Roberte! You madwoman. I have nothing to do with your master! Nothing, you hear? Their deaths have nothing to do with me. Get out of here, get out of my house, you shit!"

Amidst the gunfire, as the black figure drew closer, Ike Benier could no longer hold back and burst into curses: "Broad, Rebecca, Ansterwood! Get the hell out here. I pay you millions a year, and this is how you repay me? Standing around watching?"

At that moment, another figure in a black dress suddenly dropped from the ceiling, blocking the black figure's path. A massive poison-coated scythe, like a crescent moon, swung down toward the latter's head.

But in an instant, as a flash of white light passed, the woman in the black dress was severed at the waist.

Even the giant scythe, with a magic level as high as 17S, was cut in two at that moment. Only the fierce source force already unleashed by the scythe carved a deep scar dozens of meters long into the ground ahead, breaking through two walls and causing the magic defense array of the mansion to expand to its maximum extent.

Roberte Yvonne, like a phantom, slipped past the woman's side.

The woman's appearance had delayed Roberte by about half a second, allowing the fleeing Ike Benier to gain a lead of over fifteen meters. But this scene also sent a chill through all the outlaw-level sharpshooters present. Their firing rate dropped noticeably, and they no longer aimed for precision; the bullets landed more than two meters away from Roberte, filled with a sense of going through the motions.

By a window on the other side of the corridor, a weathered middle-aged man in his forties, holding twin swords and leaning against the wall, sighed bitterly: "A level 17 berserker, and she couldn't even hold him off for a second!"

"Boss, you're really asking too much of us. I do take three million five hundred thousand gold shields from you every year, but this situation is nothing short of suicide!"

Even as he said this, when Roberte passed by the window, the weathered middle-aged man still sprang out. His twin swords wove a deadly shadow, unleashing dozens of incredibly sharp sword beams in an instant, compressing vast source force to the extreme, possessing unparalleled destructive power.

But before those sword energies could reach her, the gun in Roberte's hand suddenly fired with a 'bang'. The bullet forcibly shattered all the sword energies along its path, and then a bloody hole burst open in the middle-aged man's forehead.

By this time, the distance between them had closed to fifteen meters. Roberte raised her gun, aiming at Ike Benier's back.

His face turned ashen white. Though he wore a saint-level defensive artifact, at this distance, Roberte could shatter its defense. Without hesitation, Ike Benier made a choice. Gritting his teeth, he flung something from his sleeve.

"Diamond Dharma Protector!"

It was a statue. If any Easterner were present, they would recognize it as a 'Wrathful Vajra'. As the statue shattered, a massive dharma manifestation emerged in an instant. About five meters tall, holding a vajra in its left hand and a ruler in its right, it glared at Roberte with furious concentration.

The latter raised her head, her eyes instantly turning blood-red as she met the Vajra's gaze. At that moment, a thunderous explosion echoed through the corridor. Everyone within fifty meters had their faces twisted in pain, their eyes showing agony, as they endured a tremendous psychic shock that nearly shattered their souls into pieces.

The 'Wrathful Vajra' manifestation began to waver and flicker. The vajra descending toward Roberte paused mid-air. The next second, the black-clad maid crashed through the Vajra's belly. Like an unstoppable cannonball, she shattered the dharma manifestation completely.

Ike Benier ahead was nearly in despair. He had no escape. Though he had a yacht prepared at the mansion's rear dock, in his current state, he couldn't shake off the Bloodshot Angel behind him.

"Shit! Bastard! I have nothing to do with your master, OK? I didn't betray him either! You mongrel, don't you understand human speech? I only did a few deals with him. What could I possibly betray, AH?"

As Ike Benier screamed in self-abandonment, the wall beside the corridor's window was smashed open again, creating a huge hole, and a figure gleaming with golden light rushed in.

"Stop right there, sinner!"

The man thrust out his palm, instantly forming a massive golden barrier in front of Roberte, successfully halting her advance. She stood expressionless outside the barrier.

"Miss Yvonne, though I don't know why you are slaughtering here, Ike Benier is a devout believer of the Lord of Radiance. He has made outstanding contributions to the Church. His safety will be protected by the Church of Light!"

With these words, an old man in a white holy robe walked calmly through the breach.

"Bishop Chris? Sir Ignatius—"

Ike Benier's face lit up with the joy of deliverance. They were Augusta Chris, the 'Diocesan Bishop' of the C4 Diocese of the Antoria Continent, an 18th-level Holy Priest; and Ignatius, the团长 of the C4 Diocese's Order of Light Knights, a 19th-level Holy Knight.

The golden barrier was clearly the work of a powerful defensive holy artifact.

"God will not sit idly by while His lambs fall into the hands of demons."

Chris looked at the opposite side with a faint smile: "Withdraw, Miss Yvonne. You will not succeed today."

"This person has defiled the name of the Angel!"

Ignatius looked down at the black-clad woman with a contemptuous gaze: "Your Excellency, I believe it is necessary to administer punishment—"

His voice suddenly stopped, for at that moment, Roberte Yvonne had drawn a slender sword from the Thousand-Engine Umbrella, and her eyes glowed with bloodlust.

"You dare to resist?"

Ignatius's eyes narrowed. Without hesitation, he drew his own sword. In an instant, six divine spells enhanced his body, and the holy radiance turned the entire corridor and the courtyard outside into a blazing white.

But just one second later, a tiny bloody dot was pierced through Ignatius's forehead. For a 19th-level Holy Knight, this was not a fatal wound, yet after that, Ignatius showed no signs of life.

Bishop Augusta Chris beside him was stunned.

"Space, you actually—"

He couldn't finish his words, for a line of blood appeared on his neck. As the blood spurted out, the bishop's head was knocked off, and his body collapsed to the ground.

Roberte Yvonne finally walked up to Ike Benier. Blood seeped from the corners of her lips, but both her hand holding the sword and her steps remained steady.

She placed the sword against Ike Benier's neck and asked, "Cagare Colin?"

At that moment, Ike Benier's pupils contracted to pinpoints.
