Chapter 1241: The Struggle of Good and Evil
凡人修仙之仙界篇 · 第一千二百四十一章 本恶之争
"Haha, haha..." Han Li's face twisted ferociously as he laughed wildly.
Lan Yan looked at his vicious expression and the aura emanating from him, completely different from before, and found it hard to believe this was the same person.
Ti Hun shook the blood from her palm, her gaze becoming extremely complex.
Lan Yan looked at Ti Hun, opened her mouth, and was about to say something.
"Dodge quickly!" Just then, Ti Hun's eyes suddenly flickered as she called out.
Startled, Lan Yan instinctively dodged, teleporting a hundred zhang away.
The moment she moved, a massive explosion tore open a gigantic crater where she had stood.
"After losing consciousness, his cultivation aura seems even stronger," Ti Hun shouted.
"The Corpse-Slaying Talisman has taken effect. This is likely due to the influence of the evil corpse's divine sense. His original consciousness can no longer control his body. If this continues, he won't be slaying the corpse; instead, the evil corpse will slay his original consciousness and fully take over his body," Lan Yan said in alarm as she flashed to Ti Hun's side.
"Regardless of whether it's the divine sense or the evil corpse, we need to make him lose consciousness first, or at least restrict his movements," Ti Hun said gravely.
"What should we do?" Lan Yan asked hastily.
"Help me restrain him for a moment. I'll think of something," Ti Hun said, clasping her hands before her with a solemn expression.
Just as Lan Yan was about to ask another question, a roar came from the deep pit ahead. Han Li's figure shot up from it, arced in midair, and dove toward them at extreme speed.
When he was still about ten zhang away, a powerful wind pressure pressed down on them like a heavy wall.
Ti Hun had already closed her eyes, forming hand seals before her, seemingly preparing some secret technique.
Gritting her teeth, Lan Yan stepped forward, and a blue cloth bag appeared in her palm.
With the sound of surging water, the blue bag shone brightly, and ten blue water dragons burst forth, breaking through the wind pressure and charging at Han Li.
"Roar..."
Han Li roared wildly and punched down heavily. The two water dragons directly colliding with him exploded.
The remaining eight water dragons veered to the side and coiled around him.
Once encircled, the eight dragons rumbled as countless water thunders detonated simultaneously, emitting myriad electric threads.
Han Li, at the center of the lightning, let out a pained roar. His body contracted sharply, then immediately expanded.
With this tension and release, a layer of dark red aura burst from his body, instantly activating his full bloodline power. The resulting powerful shockwaves forced back the surrounding water and lightning.
"Are you ready?" Lan Yan shouted, her body trembling violently, blood seeping from her nose and mouth.
But Ti Hun beside her remained silent with eyes closed, showing no reaction.
Just as the eight water dragons were about to collapse, Lan Yan's expression hardened. She spat out a mouthful of blood, mixing a drop of essence blood into it, which splashed onto the blue bag and was absorbed.
The blue bag blazed with light. The eight faltering water dragons flashed blue and spat out crystal-blue spherical lightning bolts at Han Li.
"Boom rumble"
The eight spheres of lightning closed in simultaneously and exploded violently, forming a towering lightning pillar that shot out of the ground.
Where the lightning fell, the eight water dragons could no longer maintain their form and vanished with a bang.
Han Li's figure reappeared, charred black. He swayed but did not fall.
He suddenly looked up, his blood-red eyes fixed on Lan Yan. A grin spread across his face, revealing gleaming white teeth. A fierce aura and dense evil intent enveloped Lan Yan, freezing her in place as chills ran down her spine.
"It's over..." she murmured, collapsing to the ground.
"You all must die." Han Li sneered, leaning forward and charging toward them.
But the next moment, a strange light flickered in his eyes. The bloodshot color in his right pupil receded instantly. He tried to stop abruptly but lost his balance and tumbled to the ground.
Then, a figure flashed and appeared before him before he could steady himself, pressing a palm onto the crown of his head.
"Ti Hun..." Lan Yan finally breathed a sigh of relief upon recognizing the figure.
Ti Hun stood before Han Li, one palm pressed against his fontanel. Beneath her palm, ripples like those on a lake spread outward in dark red void waves.
Pressed down by her seemingly gentle palm, Han Li sat motionless on the spot.
Ti Hun's eyes were bloodshot, and blood trickled from the corners of her eyes. Clearly, activating this secret technique came at a great cost.
With her other hand, she quickly formed a hand seal and then tapped her own glabella.
Her forehead split open, revealing a blood-red vertical eye.
Then, a faint light flickered in the blood-red eye, and countless blood-colored crystal threads spread out like vines, piercing into Han Li's glabella.
"Ah..."
The moment the blood-colored threads entered Han Li's glabella, Ti Hun cried out in pain and closed both eyes.
In the next instant, Ti Hun's divine sense entered Han Li's sea of consciousness.
Seeing Han Li's sea of consciousness for the first time, Ti Hun found it an exceptionally vast and expansive world.
But this sea of consciousness was now in chaos. Everywhere, violent storms raged, countless sky-reaching tornadoes rampaged, thick layers of dark clouds pressed low, and thunder rumbled incessantly.
"Boom"
The sea of consciousness suddenly brightened. A thick bolt of lightning descended from the sky, striking directly at Ti Hun's divine sense.
Ti Hun quickly dodged and rushed forward.
But after flying less than a thousand zhang, another violent tornado swept toward her.
"Master, where are you?" Ti Hun called out anxiously.
If she didn't find Han Li's soul soon, as an invading divine sense, she would face increasingly severe backlash from his sea of consciousness and continuous attacks.
Once the secret technique failed and Han Li woke again, she would never be able to stop him.
Just then, Ti Hun looked up sharply and saw a faint figure emerging in the thunderclouds above. Overjoyed, she shot upward, flashing through bolts of lightning into the clouds.
Above the thunderclouds, Ti Hun found no surging waves below, only occasional flashes of lightning that illuminated the surroundings brightly.
Then, a thunderous boom sounded.
A massive lightning bolt exploded above the clouds, turning the area bright as day.
By the light, Ti Hun saw a somewhat lonely figure trudging with difficulty toward a region dense with lightning.
She recognized that figure all too well—it was Han Li.
"Master..." Ti Hun shouted, her voice piercing through the rolling thunder.
Han Li, who was walking with difficulty on the thunderclouds toward the lightning zone, stiffened and turned his head abruptly.
Ti Hun was startled to see a face composed of half ferocity and half solemnity.
But whether ferocious or solemn, both expressions raised an eyebrow simultaneously upon seeing Ti Hun and spoke in unison: "Why are you here?"
Though there was only one mouth, when it opened and closed, two overlapping voices emerged—one surprised, the other angry.
"No good, the soul is starting to split?" Ti Hun realized the situation was critical.
Just as she was about to answer, the thunderclouds beneath her churned, and a flash of lightning rose from under her feet, striking at her.
Ti Hun quickly leaped to avoid the lightning and rushed toward Han Li.
Behind her, crackling sounds continued as large swaths of lightning pursued her closely.
Seeing this, Han Li raised his right hand and waved, dispersing that part of the lightning.
"My soul is splitting now, disturbed by the evil corpse. I can no longer fully control the sea of consciousness. Withdraw your divine sense quickly, or you'll be implicated," Han Li said with difficulty, his cheek twitching.
"Heh, perfect timing. Watch how I devour him. You're quite good. After I take over the sea of consciousness and the body, how about continuing to follow me?" One voice fell, and then another spoke.
"Since the Corpse-Slaying Immortal Talisman has taken effect, we have only one option: temporarily seal your soul and put you to sleep. Later, when we find a solution, we'll wake you," Ti Hun said directly, ignoring the evil corpse's words.
The evil corpse was still one soul with Han Li. Even using secret techniques to communicate was useless; they couldn't hide anything from the evil corpse, so Ti Hun had to speak plainly.
"Haha... Is that your plan? It suits me perfectly," the evil corpse's voice rang out.
"It's useless. Once evil thoughts arise, they spread like weeds. The longer we delay, the more severely he erodes my main consciousness. It's almost imperceptible. So even if we both fall asleep, it's meaningless. By the time we wake next, my main consciousness will be gone," Han Li said.
Ti Hun was caught in a dilemma upon hearing this.
"I've reached an agreement with him. First, we'll separate our souls with lightning, then each will rely on their own ability to see who can slay the other," Han Li said, a look of determination appearing on the right half of his face.
"How can that work? You're still far from the peak of the early Daluo stage. Forcing corpse-slaying now seems impossible..." Ti Hun said anxiously.
"This is the only way now. This guy is also impatient to get out," Han Li said helplessly.
"Enough chatter. If you interfere again, I'll kill you first," the evil corpse suddenly said viciously to Ti Hun.
"Since this is your choice, Master, I won't say more. But no matter the outcome, I will continue to follow you... even if you become the evil corpse," Ti Hun sighed and said.
"Since you're so sensible, I'll give you a chance to watch me destroy the main soul and become your master, haha..." The evil corpse was clearly confident, laughing grimly.
Hearing this, Ti Hun said no more. She withdrew her hand and stood aside, watching Han Li's soul silhouette continue walking step by step into the lightning.
