Chapter 1351 Severing Thoughts

凡人修仙之仙界篇 · 第一千三百五十一章 斩念

Han Li looked at the five ghostly creatures before him, his face utterly devoid of any expression. Lightning flashed across his body, and five Azure Bamboo Cloudswarm Swords shot out like lightning, transforming into five dazzling golden beams in midair that slashed toward the five ferocious ghosts.

But the five ghosts suddenly turned into phantoms, and the golden light of the swords passed straight through their bodies without causing any harm.

The five ghosts moved with incredible speed, arriving before Han Li in an instant. They each grabbed different parts of his body and opened their mouths to bite down.

Golden light flickered on Han Li's body as he was about to unfold his domain, but then his expression shifted slightly. A faint smile appeared on his face, and the golden light that had begun to shine suddenly extinguished.

The five ghosts bit into various parts of his body, sending blood splattering and excruciating pain seeping into his soul.

But he simply stood there, his expression as calm as ever, as if he felt no pain at all. He even closed his eyes.

The five ghosts, faces filled with excitement, tore at his limbs with their mouths, ripping off chunks of flesh and devouring them with great relish.

In the blink of an eye, Han Li's body was reduced to little more than a skeleton, yet the light in his eyes did not diminish in the slightest.

The five ghosts simultaneously grabbed his skeletal frame and prepared to tear it apart.

"Fierce ghosts and terror are but illusions. Since I am not I, why worry, why grieve?"

Han Li opened his eyes, gazing forward, and spoke calmly. A faint, shimmering light radiated from his body.

As the light touched the five ghosts, their bodies let out a sizzling sound and turned to ash. The pool of blood below also vanished.

Han Li returned to the black space, his body restored to its original state. Everything that had just happened seemed like nothing more than a dream—after the dream, all was as before.

Before he could catch his breath, his surroundings shifted again.

He found himself in a world of pink hues, filled with countless stunning women. There were teenage girls, brimming with youthful vitality, with slender waists, skin like凝脂, and radiant eyes; there were also voluptuous, alluring matrons with seductive gazes, passionate as fire, exuding charm in every gesture.

These women, draped in thin gauze, danced and sang around Han Li, making various provocative moves. Even the most iron-hearted man would have been lost in this den of pleasure.

But Han Li's expression remained calm, as if he did not see the women around him at all.

Just then, a fragrant breeze swept in, and a young girl embraced him from behind. Her breath, like orchid and musk, gently brushed his earlobe. It was none other than Bai Suyuan.

"Senior Han, I've long admired you, and you like me too, but you're too constrained by your senior status to make a move, aren't you?" Bai Suyuan giggled, her voice sweet and crisp, enough to make anyone's bones melt.

Then another young girl approached—Yu Menghan, with eyes like silk and a playful smile on her lips.

"Senior Han, the only reason I cultivated so hard and ascended to the True Immortal Realm was to find you..."

Another fragrant breeze arose, and two more women came forward—Yuan Yao and Yan Li.

"Brother Han, Sister Yan Li has actually had feelings for you for a long time. You can't let her down..." Yuan Yao giggled, pressing her body against Han Li's arm.

Yan Li's pretty face flushed red, but she also embraced him warmly.

The faces of all the surrounding women transformed into those of the female cultivators Han Li had known in the past, each one the epitome of seduction.

"Beauties and red dust are but fleeting clouds. Since I am not I, why cling, why care?"

Han Li's expression remained unchanged as he spoke calmly, a penetrating light flashing in his eyes.

The women around him all turned into skeletons, which then shattered with a bang. The pink world also vanished, and he returned to the pitch-black space.

But the next moment, the scenery changed again. Han Li appeared in a majestic hall, seated on the main throne. Two rows of figures stood on either side, including the Reincarnation Palace Master, Li Yuanjiu, Yueming, Bai Ze, and others he had known in the Spirit Realm and the Human Realm.

"We pay homage to the Supreme One! Congratulations on attaining the Great Dao and ascending the throne. From now on, the entire universe, immortals, demons, and ghosts alike, will serve you as master!" These people all knelt down, their faces filled with reverence.

Han Li's expression was indifferent.

"Bring them in!" a tall, fierce-looking guard shouted toward the outside of the hall.

Figures bound in golden shackles and chains shuffled in from outside—Han Li's former enemies: Qimozi, Shi Pokong, Yin Chengquan, and others.

At the head of them was none other than Gu Huojin, his hair disheveled and his aura extremely weak.

These people had long lost their former glory. The golden shackles seemed to carry some kind of binding force, stripping them of all their cultivation, reducing them to mere mortals.

Behind them suddenly appeared a burly man like a vajra, holding a gleaming guillotine. He placed the blade against the neck of the first person.

"Execution guillotine, strike!"

With a few flashes of the blade, Gu Huojin and the others were all beheaded. Their bloody heads rolled on the ground.

Han Li remained indifferent to all of this.

"Supreme One, why is there still no smile on your face? Do you have any other enemies you wish to kill? Please tell us, and we will search every realm in the universe to capture them and bring them to you for judgment," the fierce guard said, kneeling on one knee before Han Li.

"Power and dominion are but a dream. Since I am not I, why sink, why be lost?" Han Li said calmly.

With a bang, everything around him vanished again, and he returned to the dark space.

Han Li's face still showed no change in expression, but a subtle shift occurred in his state of mind.

Though he had passed through three layers of illusion and severed three kinds of delusions, leaving him somewhat mentally fatigued, it also brought him an unprecedented sense of relief.

Just then, the scenery changed again. He found himself in a sea of corpses and blood, with countless bodies piled on the ground.

The dead wore the attire of the Reincarnation Palace and the Barbarian Realm. Many of them he had seen before, all lying dead here.

The Reincarnation Palace Master, Gan Jiuzhen, and from the Barbarian Realm, Yueming, Bai Ze, along with various clan leaders and important members, all lay silently, their hardened faces filled with terror and unwillingness.

The air was thick with the nauseating stench of blood and decay. Everything felt utterly real, impossible to distinguish.

"Han Li!" a cold shout came from ahead. A figure appeared before him—it was Gu Huojin.

"See this? This is what happens to those who oppose me!" Gu Huojin sneered.

He then waved his hand, and several figures appeared in front, all tightly bound. They were Nangong Wan, Zi Ling, Jintong, Ti Hun, Liu Le'er, Shi Chuankong, and finally two others—his parents from the mortal world.

Han Li looked at the scene, his expression flickering slightly before quickly returning to calm.

"I've already investigated. These are all people important to you. Surrender to me now and swear allegiance, or they will die miserably before your eyes one by one!" Gu Huojin snarled.

Han Li remained unmoved, standing there silently.

"Good. Truly worthy of being the one besides me who has cultivated the law of time to its peak. Then watch closely," Gu Huojin sneered, flicking his finger.

A beam of golden light shot out, transforming into a golden blade that pierced through Shi Chuankong's chest. Shi Chuankong was cut in two and fell into a pool of blood.

Han Li's expression wavered for a moment, then faded.

"Haha, good!" Gu Huojin laughed loudly and flicked his finger again.

Two beams of golden light shot out, passing through Jintong and Ti Hun's bodies. They too fell dead on the spot.

A flush of red rose to Han Li's cheeks, but then subsided.

"So friendship means so little to you? What about family? This girl named Liu Le'er, I hear you treat her like a sister. Do you want to see her die here too?" Gu Huojin flicked his finger again.

A beam of golden light shot out, piercing Liu Le'er's body.

Han Li spat out a mouthful of blood, his body swaying, but he finally steadied himself.

"Next are your two dao companions and your parents. Which one should I kill first? How about this: I'll give you the choice. You tell me which one to kill first, and I'll save the one you treasure most for last. How about that?" Gu Huojin said with a smile.

Han Li stood there, his face blood-red, breathing heavily, no longer as composed as before, but he still gritted his teeth and said nothing.

"How disappointing. Since you won't choose, I'll choose for you. Killing them one by one is too troublesome. I'll just kill them all at once and be done with it." Gu Huojin looked at the four, golden light gathering in his hand, ready to strike.

"Stop!" Han Li suddenly spoke.

Gu Huojin paused, a bright smile spreading across his face.

"Finally come to your senses? Good. Kneel and submit to me quickly, and I will spare the lives of these four." Gu Huojin looked at Han Li and laughed heartily.

Han Li stepped forward slowly, his face flushed as if on fire, beads of sweat forming on his forehead. Finally, he walked up to Gu Huojin.

"Kneel!" Gu Huojin barked.

Han Li slowly bent down and knelt on the ground.

"Haha..." Gu Huojin laughed triumphantly, reaching out with his hand. Five beams of black light appeared above Han Li's head and drilled into his body.

With a clang, the black light struck Han Li's body as if hitting a solid wall. No matter how they twisted, they could not penetrate any further.

Han Li then raised his head. The flush on his face receded like a tide, leaving his skin pure white like jade. A radiant light bloomed in his eyes, bright as the full moon.

"You..." Before Gu Huojin could react, a crystalline light appeared before him and slashed down.

With a tearing sound, Gu Huojin's body was ripped apart and dissipated into nothing.

"Father, Mother, Wan'er, Zi Ling, I apologize for letting those villains use you." Han Li looked at Han's father, Han's mother, Nangong Wan, and Zi Ling, said a word, then flicked his sleeve.

The entire blood-colored space shattered with a boom, and the four figures vanished along with it.

Han Li returned to the black space, staggering slightly, a look of exhaustion on his face.

Having cultivated for half a lifetime, though he was indifferent to the world, he actually valued relationships deeply. Some people were even the reverse scale and bottom line in his heart, and severing them was far more difficult than other obsessions.

"Family and friendship, fate brings together and separates. I am not I, you are not you, he is not he. When feelings arise, it is only natural. No regrets, no resentment."

As he thought this, the scenery around him changed again, and he found himself in a foul swamp.

He himself had turned into a rotting corpse, covered in ulcers, crawling with maggots and flies, bones exposed, emitting a pungent stench.
