Chapter 620: Watching the Show
凡人修仙之仙界篇 · 第六百二十章 看戏
"Brother Gongshu, now!" the bamboo-pole man shouted.
After this series of spells, his face rapidly turned pale, and the arm pressing on the mirror surface trembled slightly, clearly struggling to sustain this divine ability.
The red-haired giant Gongshu Tian's expression turned solemn. He quickly chanted an incantation, then grabbed at the air with both hands and pulled downward.
The white blazing sun in midair suddenly brightened, a layer of white flame appearing on its surface. With a rumbling roar, it descended from the sky and crashed onto the silver figure.
A deafening explosion!
The white blazing sun flashed and abruptly burst apart, engulfing the silver figure. Dazzling white light instantly radiated, filling the entire spirit domain.
An unfathomable wave of law fluctuations emanated from the exploding white sun, rampaging unchecked through space. Cracks appeared in the nearby void, as if the entire space were about to be torn apart.
The cyan mirror surface instantly shattered and vanished, reverting to the cyan spirit domain.
But struck by this terrifying law force, the cyan spirit domain disintegrated piece by piece and soon completely collapsed.
Having shattered the cyan spirit domain, the law fluctuations did not stop but continued to impact the crimson flame spirit domain.
Gongshu Tian shouted, straining to maintain the flame spirit domain, tightly confining the terrifying explosive force to prevent it from spreading, lest half of the inner city of Jukun be destroyed.
After a few breaths, the terrifying law force gradually subsided, and the dazzling white light filling the spirit domain quickly disappeared.
Gongshu Tian's face was now as pale as paper, but his eyes were full of joy. He waved his hand to disperse the crimson flame spirit domain and looked toward where the silver figure had been.
This white blazing sun was a divine ability born from the combination of his and the bamboo-pole man's law forces. Although their laws were not perfectly integrated, it was still comparable to a full-force strike from a late-stage Taiyi realm cultivator.
That Silver Fox was merely an early-stage Taiyi. Hit directly by the white blazing sun, there was no way he could survive. He just hoped the body wasn't too mangled; otherwise, without proof, it would be hard to complete the mission.
After the dense wall of fire and spirit domain that obscured vision disappeared, the distant onlookers buzzed with noise. More people had gathered, all staring at the three figures in the arena.
Han Li's eyes lit up, and he gazed intently into the scene.
The surrounding white light quickly dissipated completely, revealing a charred black body lying prone before everyone.
But as Gongshu Tian swept his gaze over, his smile suddenly froze. That charred body was tall and thin, with green hair—it was unmistakably the bamboo-pole man.
He was now completely blackened, as if scorched, with cracks appearing all over his body. Little blood flowed out; his whole body looked like a tattered sack, but fortunately, there was still breath in his mouth and nose.
"Senior Brother Wang!"
Gongshu Tian was stunned, but the next moment he reacted instantly. His form flickered, appearing beside the bamboo-pole man. He flipped his hand and produced two talismans—one emerald green, one blood red.
Both talismans emitted astonishing spiritual power and contained traces of law fluctuations, clearly extraordinary Dao talismans.
But Gongshu Tian couldn't afford to care about that now. He made a hand seal and waved, and the two talismans immediately lit up, transforming into a green light and a blood light that merged into the bamboo-pole man's body.
The bamboo-pole man's broken body quickly turned from black to red. Blood threads appeared at the damaged areas, intertwining and reconstructing. His aura also grew stronger, no longer as faint as before.
Seeing this, Gongshu Tian relaxed slightly. He abruptly turned his head to look at where the bamboo-pole man had been standing earlier.
There stood a silver figure—the Silver Fox.
He now had his hands clasped together in front of his chest, forming a hand seal, and his eyes emitted a dazzling silver light that was hard to look at directly.
The Silver Fox suddenly released his clasped hands, and the silver light in his eyes quickly dimmed, revealing a slightly pale face with a faint smile at the corner of his mouth.
The earlier purple-robed cultivator still stood with his hands behind his back, his clothes clean and new, not a speck of dust on them. The life-and-death struggle of the Silver Fox and the other two had not affected him at all.
He turned his head to glance in the direction of the Silver Fox and the others, then quickly looked away again.
Seeing this, the onlookers erupted in uproar.
It seemed that the Silver Fox, facing two opponents alone, still held the upper hand.
"Illusion Law... to have cultivated it to such a level!" the red-haired man said, looking at the Silver Fox's eyes with shock and anger.
As he spoke, he grabbed the bamboo-pole man's body and flew backward.
"Did I say you could leave?" the Silver Fox said indifferently, raising one hand. Silver light blazed at his fingertips, ready to release.
At that moment, a fluctuation of void appeared above. A five-colored lightning bolt materialized out of thin air and struck down at the Silver Fox's head with unimaginable speed.
The Silver Fox's expression changed. He immediately shot backward to dodge, but the five-colored lightning was too fast and came without warning; there was no time to evade.
The five-colored lightning coiled around like a living thing, wrapping around his raised left arm.
With a soft "puff," the Silver Fox's arm shattered inch by inch and then turned to ashes.
His form blurred, and the next moment he appeared a hundred zhang behind.
But the five-colored lightning did not let up. It pursued him like a clinging bone, winding toward other parts of his body.
The Silver Fox's expression turned cold. He swung his right arm.
A crystalline light flashed at his brow, and the shadow of a crystalline chain flickered past.
The five-colored lightning immediately veered off, grazing past his side, hitting the ground, and sinking into it.
With a "crackle," a black hole appeared on the ground, and a wisp of green smoke rose.
Seeing this, Han Li's eyes blazed with intense light.
This was the second time the Silver Fox had used such a divine sense secret technique.
The Silver Fox's form flickered again, retreating another hundred zhang. He suddenly opened his mouth and spat a blood light onto the broken arm.
Blood threads appeared on the broken arm, rapidly intertwining and flashing. In the blink of an eye, a brand-new arm emerged.
He turned his gaze upward.
There, a flash of five-colored lightning, and a figure materialized, slowly descending.
This person was a middle-aged man, extremely tall—nearly half again as tall as an ordinary person. His skin was bronze, his features angular as if carved from steel, his gaze stern and imposing.
He wore a golden armor, also a Celestial Inspection Envoy.
"Su Liu!" the Silver Fox frowned, spitting out a name between his teeth.
"Su Liu, the Celestial Inspection Envoy! He's here too!" Jing Yang Shangren exclaimed in surprise.
"Su Liu, the Celestial Inspection Envoy? The one you said is stationed in Jukun City?" Han Li asked in a low voice.
"Exactly. Su Liu is a grand cultivator at the peak of the Taiyi realm. The Silver Fox is in danger now." Jing Yang Shangren sighed lightly.
"The Silver Fox is a wanted criminal of the Celestial Court. Fellow Daoist Jing Yang, as the Vice Mountain Lord of the Hundred Creations Mountain, you can be considered part of the Celestial Court. From your tone, it seems you're worried about the Silver Fox being caught." Han Li's eyes flickered, and he lowered his voice.
Hearing this, Jing Yang Shangren's body trembled. He quickly looked around and, seeing that everyone nearby was focused on Su Liu in midair and hadn't noticed their conversation, relaxed.
"Fellow Daoist Li, I was just speaking casually. Such jokes must never be made. If the Celestial Court were to find out, I would be in big trouble." Jing Yang Shangren transmitted his voice, complaining.
"Haha, rest assured, Fellow Daoist Jing Yang. I have already set up a soundproof barrier nearby. Outsiders cannot hear our conversation. Would I be so reckless?" Han Li laughed and replied via voice transmission.
Jing Yang Shangren was taken aback. He looked closely around the two of them and indeed saw a barely perceptible barrier enveloping them, isolating them from the surroundings.
He relaxed inwardly but was also somewhat shocked.
They had been standing side by side, and Han Li had cast a barrier without him noticing at all. The other's strength was probably beyond his expectations.
In the distance, the Silver Fox's eyes showed a hint of wariness. Then his form suddenly flickered.
With a flash of silver light, dozens of illusory silver figures appeared again, shooting rapidly in all directions.
"Since you're here, why rush to leave?" Su Liu in midair sneered. His hands moved, and his ten fingers grabbed out at a speed invisible to the naked eye.
With a crackling sound of lightning, dozens of five-colored arcs shot from his fingertips, chasing after the silver figures.
Although the silver figures were extremely fast, the five-colored arcs were even faster. In a flash, they caught up and entangled them, twisting.
A wave of supremely righteous and yang law fluctuations erupted from the five-colored arcs, engulfing the silver figures.
With a tearing sound, all the silver figures shattered and dissipated.
Only one silver figure remained—the Silver Fox's true body—fleeing outward.
Su Liu in midair smiled faintly and changed his ten fingers again.
Sizzle, sizzle, sizzle!
The five-colored arcs immediately converged, transforming into four five-colored thunder dragons, each over ten zhang long, covered in five-colored arcs that crackled loudly, looking extremely terrifying.
The four thunder dragons shook their heads and tails, flickered, and the next moment appeared above the Silver Fox, intertwining and swooping down to bite.
With a thunderous roar, an unimaginable colossal force erupted from the four thunder dragons, enveloping the Silver Fox.
The Silver Fox's flying speed suddenly slowed tenfold. His expression changed, and he shouted, waving his hands urgently.
A crystalline light blazed from his brow, and several phantom chains of divine sense flashed. The four thunder dragons diving down swayed slightly, revealing a gap.
The Silver Fox's eyes lit up. His form flickered, turning into a silver shadow that shot out.
A series of earth-shattering explosions!
A five-colored lightning orb a hundred zhang in size appeared, dazzling and extremely bright.
Thick five-colored arcs moved within the orb. Everything the lightning orb touched silently turned to nothingness, like a terrifying beast that could devour all.
But the moment the five-colored lightning orb appeared, a silver shadow shot out from within, flickering to reveal the Silver Fox's figure.
He now looked quite disheveled, his face even paler, his clothes torn, and black wounds appearing on his arms and body, though not severe.
He suddenly turned his head and shouted toward the direction behind him:
"Hey, I told you not to act, but did you really just stand there watching the show!"
