Chapter 232 Dominance

Heaven-Shaker · 第232章 强势

Many youths below were cheering for this girl, their fervor undiminished; such a temperament had already left them somewhat dizzy.

“Miss Qing’er, be careful.” Meng Lie said with a faint smile, as warm as a spring breeze. When sparring with Yun’er, their skin inevitably touched, and Meng Lie’s heart grew increasingly fervent.

“Qing’er?” In the distance, the black-clad youth walking briskly heard Meng Lie’s voice and frowned slightly. Yang Tian raised his head, his gaze falling on the white-clad youth.

“Meng Lie, I’ve said it before, please call me Yang Qing.” Hearing this voice, Yun’er’s crescent brows furrowed slightly. She could not accept such an intimate address.

Rebuffed to his face, Meng Lie’s face remained as warm as a spring breeze. He smiled kindly, but the fire in his heart burned hotter. Such a proud girl stirred restless thoughts in him.

Whoosh! Meng Lie’s figure flickered. He moved with great speed, appearing before Yun’er. His right hand curled slightly, and from his palm burst a blaze of scorching light, like a crescent moon, flying toward her.

Seeing this, Yun’er’s expression remained calm. Her whole body was shrouded in a hazy emerald glow, her form like a green lotus, a moment of fleeting beauty, ethereal and striking.

Bang! Yun’er struck out with a palm in midair, producing a rumbling sound like a river crashing. She unleashed a terrifying attack; a small river instantly coalesced before her and was sent flying.

The emerald river surged, roaring like monstrous waves, and struck the crescent moon. The two collided, and blazing heat and emerald light erupted, wisps of energy scattering in the void with a whirring sound.

Though young, they were all formidable. Several old men on the upper floor nodded secretly. Xing Shan stroked a few silver strands under his chin, also very satisfied. He hadn’t expected Yun’er to have improved so much, nearly surpassing Xing Hao.

“I wonder how that little brat is doing in his life-and-death seclusion?” Xing Shan sighed inwardly, muttering to himself. Since the incident at Luoyun Stream, Xing Hao had been in seclusion in the sect’s secret realm, reportedly receiving a legacy from a high-ranking figure in the sect.

From time to time, dull thuds came from the arena. The black basalt repeatedly cracked, extending long fissures. The onlookers were alarmed; both were formidable.

Bang! Two massive energy fields intersected, erupting into a shocking wave of air that surged into the clouds. Both bodies were knocked back, their blood and qi surging.

Yun’er stood on the other side of the training ground, her breathing steady. Just as she was about to attack, her beautiful eyes suddenly caught sight of the black-clad youth not far away, and her lashes curved into crescent moons.

At the sudden smile, Meng Lie’s eyes froze for a moment, then a hint of ugliness rose on his face. He whirled around, his gaze immediately landing on the black-clad youth below the training ground.

Yun’er moved with lotus steps and appeared before Yang Tian in a few strides. The onlookers were stunned; the girl who had spoken so little moments ago now showed such a smile to another girl—quite intriguing.

“Little girl, how come you have time to come here?” Sensing the hostile stares around him, Yang Tian gave a wry smile, his gaze falling on Yun’er, and he smiled gently.

“Hehe, I was bored, so I came out for a stroll. I didn’t expect to run into these annoying people.” Stroking a few strands of hair from her shoulder, Yun’er’s small lashes trembled slightly, her delicate face shimmering with a crystal luster as she giggled.

Annoying people? Some people in the distance looked uncomfortable. Some of them were disciples of the Meng family, usually holding high positions and esteemed status, yet now they were called annoying.

Meng Lie’s face showed embarrassment, the corner of his mouth twitching slightly. He cast a cold glance at Yang Tian, but quickly masked it with his refined demeanor.

But this glance did not escape Yang Tian’s eyes. Glancing at the youth on the training ground, Yang Tian shook his head slightly and was about to leave with Yun’er.

“Hey, brother, how about a sparring match?” Seeing Yang Tian about to leave, Meng Lie clenched his fist, forcing a smile on his handsome face, and said with a light laugh.

"Not interested." Yang Tian didn't even turn his head, saying indifferently. He wasn't impressed by people who were good at putting on a show; obviously, this guy wanted to defeat him to win Yun'er's favor.

"What big talk!" Meng Lie's face turned ugly. Being directly rejected like this was only the second time he had experienced such treatment, and he felt very aggrieved.

At that moment, Meng Lie's footsteps shifted, and he appeared in front of Yang Tian, looking at him with a faint smile. "Brother, I haven't seen you before. You're not from the auction house, so why are you here?"

Hearing Meng Lie's voice, many people around came to their senses. They hadn't seen Yang Tian before; only a few maids had. But with Meng Lie's aggressive attitude, they dared not intervene.

"Do I need to report to you whether I'm here or not?" Yang Tian curled his lips and said flatly. "If there's nothing else, please step aside."

"Hmph, step aside?" Meng Lie retorted, looking down at Yang Tian, his words sharpening. "Who are you? Why are you here? This place isn't somewhere you can come and go as you please."

"Oh? Are you going to keep me here?" Yang Tian shrugged, a cold smile flickering in his eyes.

"That's what I wanted to hear!" Meng Lie thought to himself. His aura suddenly burst forth, his energy several times more fierce than before.

Meng Lie was shrouded in purple mist, a scorching aura emanating from his body like a purple sun, sending out terrifying waves of air. In the void, a ferocious beast coalesced.

"This kid is in for it. Cousin Meng Lie is about to make a move." The onlookers began to murmur, pronouncing Yang Tian's doom.

Meng Lie's cultivation was extremely formidable, able to rival the older generation. He had once exchanged dozens of moves with a War King without losing ground.

The void rumbled with explosions. The purple beast was ferocious, emitting terrifying roars that nearly burst the eardrums of the nearby maids. Leaves fell from the trees in a startling display.

"Why is this person so annoying?" Yun'er frowned. Just as she was about to reach out her hand, a palm pressed it down, and a teasing voice sounded by her ear: "Little girl, you're quite charming..."

"Brother Yang..." Hearing this, Yun'er's cheeks flushed crimson. She stamped her foot and pouted, a charming expression flashing across her face.

Meng Lie's gaze faltered for a moment at her alluring demeanor, but then it turned to fury, fire nearly spitting from his eyes. Gritting his teeth, he thrust the beast forward.

"Leave it to me." Patting Yun'er's fair wrist, Yang Tian smiled, but beneath the smile lurked a hint of coldness.

The purple beast soared, emitting blazing flames. The surrounding void twisted, producing a mournful sound.

"Has this guy been scared stupid?"

The young men and women nearby, noticing Yang Tian's unmoved expression, widened their eyes. Was this a sign of waiting for death?

As the purple beast lunged, just before it reached him, Yang Tian extended his hand. Under the horrified gazes of the onlookers, he grabbed directly onto the beast.

Contrary to their imagined bloody scene, a red light emanated from Yang Tian's fingertips. Before they could react, his hand formed a claw and tore downward.

"Ssshh..." A terrifying wave of energy flashed and vanished. The onlookers were dumbfounded. The once majestic beast now cracked apart in the void, finally dissolving into specks of purple light that drifted down.

Some people nearby were instantly petrified, their eyes wide. A few old men in the pavilion also showed signs of shock. They sensed the fleeting energy just now—extremely vast, containing powerful life force.
