Chapter 037: The Art of 'Shock'

Heaven-Shaker · 第037章 “震”字决

Time flew by, and winter had arrived. The snow was white and boundless, the cold wind howled, water froze instantly, and the sun hanging high in the sky seemed lifeless.

Heavy snow fell, a world of pure white without a trace of color, stretching endlessly like a beautiful scroll, inviting pure reverie.

A gust of biting wind blew in his face, striking Yang Tian, but he felt no chill. Instead, faint wisps of steam curled above his head. He closed his pores tightly, his blood boiling, his internal organs vibrating, his vitality unusually strong, and his energy abundant.

Carrying the broken sword on his back, Yang Tian walked through the snow without feeling any cold. Under this chill, he noticed that his cultivation speed had increased.

As he walked, every muscle in his body moved. When his muscles contracted, the surrounding air exploded with a 'whoosh' sound, showing the strength of his physique and its immense explosive power.

After two and a half months of hard training, Yang Tian focused on tempering his body. Although he remained at the eighth level of Blood Refining, his foundation was twice as solid as before. Now he concentrated on building a strong base, preparing for the upcoming 'War Heaven Bronze Body.'

To break through to the martial artist realm and forge the War Heaven Bronze Body—what was the War Heaven Bronze Body? It meant drawing the power of heavenly thunder to temper the bronze-like skin, thus achieving the War Heaven Bronze Body.

Yang Tian was startled when he first studied the technique. The power of heavenly thunder was no joke. Many powerful cultivators with heaven-defying cultivation would trigger thunder tribulations, but few survived.

And Yang Tian, at the threshold of the martial artist realm, had to invoke the power of heavenly thunder. This was hard for him to believe, but he had to accept it. Although the origin of the War Heaven Art was unclear, he firmly believed it was no weaker than any other technique.

Now, his entire physique was half again as strong as before. Although he had adapted to the weight of the broken sword, he could feel it increasing steadily, which piqued his curiosity about its origin. Perhaps he could find some clues at the Martial Dao Mountain, but he didn't hold out much hope.

Behind him, a white shadow rolled through the snow, the trench it left quickly filled by the heavy snow. Without careful observation, one wouldn't notice anything moving behind him.

That shadow was the little white beast. Yang Tian had long noticed it, but he couldn't do anything about it. Every time he roasted game, he had to prepare an extra portion.

With the little beast by his side, the monotony of training was broken, adding much joy. Yang Tian was quite happy about it.

Finding a cave, Yang Tian set down the broken sword, which immediately created a pit in the ground. He took out a fire starter and lit a fire, then brought out the prepared meat.

As expected, the little beast appeared at the entrance, exhaling warm breath, its small tail wagging constantly. It blinked its big, dark eyes, staring at the game in Yang Tian's hands.

'Little White, here you go.' Tearing off a thigh, Yang Tian tossed it to the beast. Little White was the name Yang Tian had given it, and the little beast seemed to like it.

Seeing the flying thigh meat, Little White's eyes sparkled with joy. It leaped into the air, catching it with both paws.

Watching Little White devour the meat, Yang Tian shook his head slightly. He had tried many times to catch Little White, but the little creature was exceptionally clever, and he could do nothing about it. Yang Tian felt quite helpless.

After finishing the meal, Yang Tian immersed himself in cultivation. Above his Qi Sea, a river of blood floated, its internal blood flow exceptionally thick, with faint, almost imperceptible wind sounds.

This was a sign of the initial formation of a phenomenon. Yang Tian was very excited, never expecting the War Heaven Art to have such an effect. Some youths from large families, after consuming vast amounts of heavenly treasures daily, could generate phenomena. But the treasures Yang Tian had taken were incomparable to theirs, which filled him with confidence in the War Heaven Art.

'Shock!' Suddenly, Yang Tian softly exclaimed. The river of blood appeared above his head, vibrating continuously. A mysterious aura spread out, freezing the small space.

This was the result of Yang Tian's focused meditation. The blood in his body was vastly different from others', allowing him to freeze space with it. For others, this required extremely high cultivation.

Yang Tian was only at the eighth level of Blood Refining. He had only grasped a little of it, but the effect was excellent. It would be greatly beneficial in battle, allowing him to freeze an opponent in space. Of course, with his current cultivation, he couldn't freeze them for long.

Rumbling, the river of blood vibrated continuously, the energy within decreasing. Absorbing, releasing, his mind constantly comprehending the Art of Shock. A day and night passed slowly.

The next day.

Yang Tian opened his eyes and looked ahead. A furry ball was there, faint snoring coming from it. Yang Tian smiled, then lit a fire and roasted some game.

The aroma spread. The furry ball suddenly trembled, and Little White leaped up instantly, a drop of drool hanging from its mouth.

'Haha.' Shaking his head, Yang Tian tossed one of the roasted meats to it.

'Little White, I'm leaving here in a few days. Do you want to come with me?' After eating, Yang Tian looked at Little White, who seemed reluctant to finish, then pointed into the distance and smiled.

'Ao wu ao wu.' Little White seemed to understand Yang Tian's words. It whimpered softly and shook its fluffy little head vigorously.

Seeing Little White's unwillingness, Yang Tian's eyes showed a trace of reluctance. After days of companionship, he had grown fond of the little creature. The thought of leaving made him feel uneasy.

'Little White, if you want to eat this, come with me. I'm leaving soon.' Yang Tian pointed at the bones on the ground, a hint of expectation in his voice.

'Ao wu ao wu.' Little White paced in place, its gaze flickering. But when its eyes fell on the bones, they sparkled with hope.

'Woo woo.' Little White suddenly ran over, tugging at Yang Tian's robe with its teeth, its big eyes showing anticipation as it pulled him outward.

'You want me to follow you?' Yang Tian's eyes lit up with surprise.

'Ao.' Little White growled softly and wagged its little tail.

Seeing Little White wag its tail, Yang Tian's face broke into a smile. He quickly picked up the broken sword, leaped up, and the two figures dashed forward.

After running for a whole day, as night fell, the two figures stopped at a large mountain range. Before them was a dark cave entrance.

'Ao.' Little White tugged at Yang Tian's leg, signaling him to enter.

'What place is this?' Scratching his head, Yang Tian fixed his gaze on the cave entrance. He felt a faint, unsettling energy inside.

As he approached the entrance, the unsettling feeling grew stronger. Watching Little White tug at his clothes, Yang Tian gritted his teeth and walked into the cave with Little White.

As soon as they entered, the scene shifted dramatically. The interior of the mountain was completely hollowed out. A massive stone hall appeared before them, surrounded by four towering stone pillars that seemed to pierce the sky. At the end of the hall, a giant statue was faintly visible.
