Chapter 042: Beating Heart

Rayleigh and the young woman turned their heads simultaneously, only to find several women had appeared beside them.

The leading woman had long purple hair, and her beautiful face was sacred and inviolable.

This woman was none other than Athena from the Saint Seiya world, and beside her were naturally Milo, Marin, and Shaina.

Milo looked across the sea at the Royal Port on the other side and asked, "Lady Athena, should we go back?"

Rayleigh's eyes flickered a few times before he spoke, "Hey, beautiful ladies, from what you say, it seems you know what's going on here, right?"

Athena turned to glance at Rayleigh and nodded, "More or less."

Rayleigh rubbed his hands and smiled, "My name is Rayleigh, Silvers Rayleigh. This is my friend; you can call her Shakky. If you don't mind, could you tell us what's happening to this world? Why has such a huge landmass appeared near the Sabaody Archipelago?"

Athena said calmly, "There's no harm in telling you. Right now, this world is merging with another world. Soon the two worlds will become one. The continent you see is the territory of the other world."

"A merger of two worlds?" Rayleigh was greatly startled. He knew the sea connected to another mysterious world, but he had no idea the two worlds were slowly merging.

"This is truly beyond belief," he said with a wry smile.

Shakky took a puff of her cigarette and murmured, "This is even more earth-shattering than the era Roger set in motion."

With two worlds merging, who knew what would happen.

Rayleigh exhaled and was about to speak when suddenly a sharp, terrified voice rang out.

"Celestial Dragons! The Celestial Dragons are coming!!!"

Rayleigh and Shakky turned simultaneously and saw at the end of the street a group of men in black clothes protecting a man wearing a bubble headpiece as he walked over.

The man also held a chain, and at the other end of the chain was a beautiful woman with a chain around her neck.

Athena also saw this scene and frowned, asking, "What are Celestial Dragons?"

She had only recently arrived in this world and truly didn't know what Celestial Dragons were.

Rayleigh understood immediately, "Ladies, you must not be from this world."

Athena nodded.

Rayleigh said, "The Celestial Dragons are descendants of the twenty kings who founded the World Government 800 years ago. They consider themselves descendants of the creators, and because they see themselves as too noble to breathe the same air as commoners, they wear bubble headpieces. They also treat people of other races as slaves."

Athena listened, then glanced at the Celestial Dragons a few times. Claiming to be descendants of creators and treating other races as slaves.

It sounded somewhat similar to certain gods in Greek mythology.

"So, are the Celestial Dragons gods?" But no matter how she looked, Athena couldn't detect any divine bloodline in the Celestial Dragons.

"No, they're just a bunch of parasites," Rayleigh said contemptuously. "But they're a real pain."

"A pain?"

"Exactly. These Celestial Dragons enjoy every privilege. If they are offended, the Navy Headquarters' Admirals or CP0 must mobilize all forces to kill anyone who offends them. You ladies should be careful about that too."

Milo glanced at Rayleigh and said, "Seems like you're pretty strong yourself."

Athena said lightly, "Kill them."

"How dar—" The agent guarding the Celestial Dragon was about to speak when he suddenly saw a hole appear in his charge's chest.

That spot should have been the beating heart.

But now, that heart had vanished.

"Charloss Saint!" He stared in disbelief, about to lunge forward, when he suddenly felt all his strength leave him. He became as weak as someone on the verge of death.

He looked down and saw a hole in his own chest as well.

The beating heart had disappeared.

The agent struggled to lift his head and was astonished to find that not only he and Charloss Saint, but all his colleagues had holes in their chests.

The beating hearts had vanished without a trace.
