Chapter 016: Pierce Him

Wang Bo had just returned to the great hall of Asgard's palace when he saw Odin tearing into Hela.

This startled Wang Bo.

He had thought that without the excellent artifact Gungnir, Odin would be at a disadvantage and be beaten back by Hela, but he never expected the All-Father to be so ferocious.

Even without Gungnir, with his full power unleashed, Hela was still no match for him.

The surging divine power within him erupted like an avalanche, driving Hela back step by step until she was sent flying with a loud crash, utterly disheveled.

Wang Bo couldn't help but admire, "Old ginger is spicier."

But Wang Bo couldn't stand idly by. Odin was overwhelmingly fierce, and if this continued, Hela would soon be subdued by Odin and sent back to prison.

So Wang Bo made his move.

Solar Fist!

He struck with the immensely powerful Solar Fist, as if the force of thousands of simultaneous explosions converged on his fist. Once it detonated, the entire palace hall would be destroyed.

Odin's heart raced. He sensed the power in Wang Bo's fist and knew this blow would be hard to counter.

But he did not retreat. The power within him made him fearless. Even though his opponent was immensely strong, as the king of Asgard, he could not back down.

Thus, the ancient power began to awaken, and the aging All-Father became heroic.

Time seemed to reverse on him. His white hair began to darken, and his wrinkled face smoothed out. In just a few breaths, the decrepit All-Father before Wang Bo was no more.

Instead, a vigorous middle-aged Skyfather stood before him.

Wang Bo was not surprised by this.

Odin possessed immense energy manipulation abilities, known as the Odinforce. He could convert vast mystical energy into any form for use, temporarily enhance his physical attributes, or grant superpowers to living or non-living beings.

The manifestations of the Odinforce include energy projection, reality alteration, creating or resurrecting life, disintegrating or repairing objects, enhancing physical constitution, traversing timelines, opening dimensional portals, casting spells and blessings, reading minds, telepathic communication, generating force fields or shields, telekinesis, and more.

Of course, this was Odin from the comics.

Even if this Odin was not as powerful as his comic counterpart, he could still use the Odinforce to briefly return to his prime.

This aging Skyfather was not so easily dealt with.

In the blink of an eye, Odin, restored to youth, manipulated his Odinforce to strengthen his body and caught Wang Bo's fist with his palm.

The Solar Fist, with the force of thousands of nuclear explosions, was completely nullified by the Odinforce before it could erupt.

At the same time, Wang Bo felt a tremendous force acting upon him. Every cell in his body endured unimaginable gravity.

This gravity could easily crush a continent.

But Wang Bo bore it without changing expression, smiled at Odin, and a brilliant galaxy shimmered behind him.

He elevated his Cosmo to its peak and threw a punch.

Galactic Explosion!!!

The power of an exploding galaxy swept through the hall, and terrible destruction spread instantly, threatening to destroy the palace and all of Asgard.

Odin would not allow that. He activated his Odinforce to prevent it, forcibly suppressing the power of the Galactic Explosion.

The collision of two utterly different forces created a devastating storm that was despair-inducing.

But before that power could unleash its full might, it was again torn apart and annihilated by the Odinforce.

As the All-Father, Odin could never allow any force to destroy Asgard.

"Young man."

Odin quickly realized that Wang Bo was far stronger than Hela. He stopped attacking and said, "Are you sure you want to settle this with me here?"

Wang Bo raised an eyebrow. "Are you proposing a truce?"

Odin said, "We don't have any great enmity, do we? What is your relationship with my daughter?"

Wang Bo replied, "You could say it's superior and subordinate."

Odin glanced at Hela. His unruly daughter had submitted to this man, which surprised him greatly. But this man was indeed qualified to be her superior.

After all, he was so strong that even Odin in his prime might not be able to defeat him.

"Did you come here today with my daughter to bring Asgard under your command?" Odin was displeased to learn that Wang Bo was Hela's superior.

He hadn't expected his daughter to regress so much.

She actually wanted to hand Asgard over to someone else.

Under his leadership, Asgard ruled the Nine Realms and was a major power in the universe. No one dared to trample on Asgard.

But now, his daughter wanted Asgard to bow to others.

That was absolutely intolerable.

Odin grew increasingly disappointed with his eldest daughter, feeling that his decision not to entrust Asgard to her was indeed correct.

Wang Bo said calmly, "Actually, I'm not interested in Asgard. The forces under my command are no less than Asgard, so Asgard holds no appeal for me."

"My purpose today is twofold: one is for the Space Stone in your vault, and the other is Hela's request. Since she is my subordinate, I naturally have to back her up."

Odin's expression darkened. He could tell Wang Bo wasn't lying, but that only made him more irritated.

After all, what he valued most was worthless in someone else's eyes—anyone would find that infuriating.

"Asgard cannot lose its independence, so I will never allow Hela to inherit the throne."

Wang Bo shrugged. His Cosmo boiled, his magic boiled, his solar true qi boiled. "In that case, there's nothing more to say. Let's fight. If you win, I'll leave immediately."

Odin opened his single eye. "Then let me gauge your strength."

He unleashed his Odinforce fully, and Gungnir returned to his hand. The spear's tip aimed at Wang Bo, and immense gravity and binding force instantly weighed down on him.

Wang Bo could not move.

Odin shouted, "Pierce him, Gungnir!" This was a word of power, a spell, and a curse.

The Gungnir hurled from his hand seemed to leap through time, striking Wang Bo's chest. The force it unleashed sought to break through Wang Bo's defenses, pierce him completely, and kill him.

But Wang Bo smiled, because his body was already so indestructible that not even a supernova could harm him in the slightest.
