Chapter 31: An Eye for an Eye

Ever since Wang Bo discovered that the people secretly following him were not ninjas, he hesitated about whether to find an opportunity to leave Shorten Street, set a trap, and wipe them all out.

Otherwise, being constantly watched was no way to live.

If these people took desperate measures and acted on Shorten Street, it would be trouble.

So Wang Bo began to formulate a plan.

Just then, the restaurant door was pushed open, and two women swaggered in.

Shizune didn't even glance at Wang Bo, following Tsunade to sit down. The two women ordered two bowls of ramen and ate with relish.

One young ronin, rather impatient, stood up and walked toward Senju Tsunade and Shizune.

Wang Bo understood this well; after all, both women were beauties, especially Senju Tsunade, who, though older, was well-preserved due to ninjutsu, so she looked about the same age as Shizune.

The ronin naturally couldn't resist trying to flirt.

“Get back here!” Before the ronin could approach Senju Tsunade and Shizune, one of his companions scolded him.

The young ronin was startled and looked back.

A man with a full beard glared at him fiercely. “Get back here on your own.”

The young ronin hesitated, then gave up on flirting and walked back.

The bearded man said, “At a critical moment, don't cause any trouble.”

The ronin quickly nodded and lowered his head.

Senju Tsunade was somewhat surprised. Her looks and figure were indeed outstanding, attracting many lecherous men on the road.

She hadn't expected someone to ignore that.

But she didn't care; she had traveled far and wide and seen many people. A few ronin were nothing.

After finishing his ramen, Wang Bo stood up, walked over, pulled out a chair, and sat down in front of Senju Tsunade.

Senju Tsunade said expressionlessly, “Leave before I lose my temper.”

Shizune nodded and said, “Please leave here.”

Wang Bo said, “Let me introduce myself first. I am a spice merchant. My spices are often sold all over the Land of Fire, including Konoha Village.”

Shizune was taken aback and glanced at Senju Tsunade.

Senju Tsunade took a bite of ramen and said casually, “What does that have to do with me?”

“Not long ago, my goods were stolen, worth several million ryo. The ones who did it were Konoha ninjas.”

“That's impossible,” Shizune said in shock.

Konoha ninjas hadn't degenerated to that extent.

Senju Tsunade seemed to think of something. “They're rogue ninjas, right.”

“That's right, they are indeed rogue ninjas,” Wang Bo nodded.

Senju Tsunade said, “If you want compensation, go find Konoha Village. This has nothing to do with me. I'm just an ordinary woman.”

Wang Bo continued, “By the way, they not only stole the goods but also killed people. Besides me, everyone in my caravan died.”

Senju Tsunade looked at Wang Bo with a half-smile. “How did you survive?”

“By luck,” Wang Bo said.

“Is that so?” Tsunade didn't believe it. Those rogue ninjas, to protect their whereabouts from being revealed and to avoid being caught up by Konoha ninjas, usually killed everyone.

A simple “by luck” wouldn't convince Tsunade.

Wang Bo continued, “There's a saying: an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth. I want to kill those rogue ninjas.”

Senju Tsunade immediately understood. “You want to hire me, kid. Looks like you know who I am. But do you know my price?”

Wang Bo took out 500,000 ryo from his luggage and placed it in front of Senju Tsunade.

Senju Tsunade shook her head. “This isn't enough to get me to act.”

She had long left Konoha and had no time to chase down a few rogue ninjas. If it were a million ryo, she wouldn't mind doing it herself, but now…

Wang Bo shook his head. “This money isn't for you to act personally. I want to use it to buy something from you.”

“What?” Senju Tsunade asked curiously.

“Chakra extraction technique!”

Senju Tsunade was stunned. “You want to become a ninja?”

“An eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth, blood for blood—isn't that only natural?” Wang Bo said calmly.

Senju Tsunade heard this and couldn't help but burst into laughter, laughing so hard she bent over, her useless flesh jiggling up and down, attracting the gaze of every man present.

When her laughter subsided, Senju Tsunade said, “Kid, being a ninja isn't that simple. You'd better take this money and go to Konoha to post a mission to hunt down those rogue ninjas.”
