Chapter 057: Interrogation

Wang Bo threw Danzo to the ground and said to Satōma, "Go to Konoha and interrogate the Hokage of Konoha about why he sent someone to capture me. If he doesn't give me an explanation, I will completely suspend cooperation with Konoha and make this matter public, letting the whole world know Konoha's true face."

These words moved Satōma and Haku deeply.

Wang Bo smiled. He had gathered these kids to help him find the Silver Superman, not to send them to their deaths. Wang Bo hadn't sunk so low as to let a bunch of kids conquer the world for him.

If anything happened, he could handle it alone. He didn't need kids to fight and die for him.

After packing up, Satōma and Haku soon left the base and set out on the road to Konoha.

Meanwhile, Danzo, who had been unconscious, also woke up.

Haku noticed Satōma's change but said nothing.

After several days of travel, they soon arrived at Konoha.

Satōma said to the gatekeeping ninja, "We are from the Weizhixian Hotpot Restaurant. We wish to enter Konoha. Please allow us passage."

The two gatekeepers exchanged glances and nodded, allowing Satōma and Haku to pass.

Once inside Konoha, Satōma and Haku did not linger but headed straight for the Hokage building. At the entrance, an ANBU appeared before them, blocking their way.

"This is not a place you should be."

Satōma said, "We are from the Weizhixian Hotpot Restaurant. We wish to see the Hokage-sama. We have important matters to discuss with him."

Upon hearing they were from the hotpot restaurant, the ANBU ninja hesitated for a moment and said, "Wait here. I will inform the Hokage-sama."

The next second, he vanished from their sight.

Satōma's eyes flickered. Once again, he hadn't seen how the man moved, proving that Konoha's ninja were indeed very formidable.

Satōma had to remind himself not to act rashly.

Soon, the ninja returned and said to the two, "The Hokage-sama will see you. Follow me."

Satōma and Haku exchanged glances and entered the Hokage building.

Under the ANBU ninja's guidance, they finally met the Hokage of Konoha, Sarutobi Hiruzen.

Sarutobi Hiruzen puffed on his pipe, looking at the two kids before him. From the intelligence he had obtained, these two were indeed close to Igarashi Chiba.

"Does Igarashi-dono have something to convey?"

Satōma and Haku exchanged glances, then Satōma stepped forward and said, "Sir sent us to Konoha to ask the Hokage to give our master an explanation."

Sarutobi Hiruzen was taken aback. "What does Igarashi-dono mean by this?"

Satōma said, "Hokage-sama sent ninja to renew the contract with our master during the day, but at night, you sent ninja to kidnap our master. That doesn't seem right, does it?"

"Our master told us so himself," Satōma said.

Sarutobi Hiruzen shook his head and said decisively, "I never sent any ninja to kidnap your master. Igarashi-dono must have misunderstood. This is definitely not something Konoha's ninja would do."
