Chapter 035: Wish

获得主角能力的我只想过平凡生活 · 第035章 愿望

Wang Bo felt nothing but contempt for Taishan in his heart; this man was even more contemptible than he had imagined.

Although Wang Bo did not know how the plot of the Double Dragon Society would unfold, nor what Tai Shan's ultimate fate would be, from Tai Shan's current attitude and character, it was clear that this person was not someone to form a deep friendship with.

Incompetent, a drag on others, yet smug in success.

Having made such a friend at the risk of one's life is truly bad luck; one never knows when such a person might drag you down.

If not for Yazi's request, Wang Bo would never have called someone like this.

"Taishan, let's not talk about Barbara for now. Let's talk about something else."

"Not talk about Barbara? What else is there for us to discuss besides Barbara? You haven't forgotten that we've cut all ties, have you?" Taishan said with a cold snort.

Wang Bo retorted, "Who was it that, after severing all ties, called me to beg for help?"

Taishan, enraged by the retort, barked into the phone, "Wanming, you're too insolent. Is this how you talk to your big brother? I was giving you a chance, do you understand? A chance for you to regain my trust. Otherwise, do you think a piece of trash like Datou Rong could have caught me?"

Wang Bo sneered. This guy was getting better and better at boasting.

Still a piece of trash like Big Head Rong.

You really think you're something, don't you.

But Wang Bo couldn't be bothered to argue with this kind of fellow. "Taishan, the reason I'm calling you this time is that I have something important to discuss with you."

"Looking for me? What do you want from me? Don't tell me you want to recognize me as your big brother again—no problem, as long as you kneel and toast me, I'll accept you as my little brother."

Taishan smugly laid out a condition.

Wang Bo's face was expressionless. "Kneel and offer a toast? Fine. Where are you? I'll come find you right now."

He decided that if he encountered someone like Taishan, he would beat him up first and talk later.

When Taishan heard Wang Bo say this, he actually thought Wang Bo wanted to admit his mistake, and he trembled even more. “Now you want to kneel and offer a toast? Too late. I’m busy now. When I have time, I’ll drink your toast.”

"Alright, when are you free?" Wang Bo asked.

Taishan thought for a moment and said arrogantly, "How about this: I'll be eating at a place called Li's Char Siu House on Queen's Road tonight. If you're free, come find me. But remember, I'll only wait ten minutes for you. If you don't show up, I'm leaving."

Wang Bo nodded. "Okay, no problem, I'll come find you."

After hanging up the phone, Wang Bo placed his phone on the coffee table. With a slight, unintentional excess of force, the marble tabletop instantly cracked into a web of fissures, startling Yazi and Chunli.

"You're angry?" Yazi asked cautiously.

Wang Bo shook his head. "No."

"Don't try to fool me." Yazi looked at the marble coffee table, now covered with cracks, and said with shared indignation, "That Taishan is so rampant—it's only natural for you to be angry."

"I don't even know him, why would I be angry."

"A dead duck, but its beak is still hard."

"Alright, Ya Zi, say no more." Chun Li saw the situation was getting bad and quickly pushed Ya Zi's shoulder, turning to Wang Bo and saying, "Sorry."

"No need." Wang Bo waved his hand and quickly adjusted his mood; getting angry over someone like Taishan wasn't worth it.

He looked down at the marble coffee table covered with cracks, tapping its surface lightly.

With a dull thud and a flash of light, the marble coffee table was instantly restored to a brand-new state.

Wang Bo, who was proficient in hundreds of witchcrafts, found it all too easy to repair a damaged coffee table.

"Amazing." Yazi watched, her eyes nearly popping out. "How did you do that?"

“Just a small piece of witchcraft,” Wang Bo said.

"Witchcraft? So you're a wizard, then?"

"That's right."

"Impressive. What sorcery can you perform?"

"That's a lot, such as mind control, immobilization, teleportation, enlargement, shrinking, and this kind of restoration, controlling water and fire, summoning storms, and so on—I can do all of them."

It was not Wang Bo boasting—having become the most powerful wizard in the world of Aladdin, he was indeed proficient in many sorceries.

However, among the wizardry he knew, the vast majority were combat-type spells, with very few life-type spells. Even this restoration spell was actually developed for combat.

This sorcery can repair most weapons damaged by prolonged use, but now Wang Bo is using it to fix a broken coffee table.

Yazi and Chunli's eyes sparkled with admiration. Yazi looked at Wang Bo enviously and couldn't help asking, "Can we become wizards too?"

Wang Bo slapped his forehead and couldn't help saying, "Right, I forgot there was still this form."

Yazi and Chunli looked at him, not understanding why.

Wang Bo took the magic lamp out of his four-dimensional pocket and placed it on the coffee table.

"Do you know what this is?"

Yazi and Chunli shook their heads simultaneously.

"Take a guess." Wang Bo said.

"A teapot made of gold?" Yazi asked uncertainly.

"Maybe it's a golden kettle?" Chun Li's guess grew more and more absurd.

Wang Bo sighed and shook his head. “You two really have no imagination,” he said. “This is a magic lamp I brought from the world of Aladdin. It lets the user make three wishes, and no matter what the wish, the genie can grant it.”

“Aladdin’s magic lamp?” Yazi exclaimed.

Chun-Li said in astonishment, "You actually have something like this."

Almost all modern people know the story of Aladdin's magic lamp; after all, fairy tales like The Arabian Nights are widely spread throughout the world.

Its fame is comparable to that of Hans Christian Andersen's fairy tales and the Brothers Grimm's fairy tales.

Wang Bo said modestly, "It's just a magic lamp, nothing special. Now, as long as you hold the lamp and make a wish, you can become a wizard as powerful as I am. If you possess the power of a wizard, finding the supplier of Taishan will be as easy as blowing away dust, and even destroying the drug trafficking ring will be a piece of cake."

Yazi said in astonishment, 'You are willing to let us use the magic lamp?'

“Of course.” Wang Bo was not a stingy person; after all, the magic lamp would only grant three wishes to each person. Even if Yazi used it, Wang Bo’s three wishes would not be reduced.

After Ya Zi and Chun Li discussed for a while, they finally decided to use the power of the magic lamp.

The two of them thought that if they possessed the power of wizards, they could strike down criminals faster, catch them, and maintain social stability.

So the two summoned the genie of the lamp and made a wish to become powerful wizards.

"This wish is too easy."

The genie of the lamp rubbed his hands together, unleashing powerful magic, and granted the two women's wish, transforming them into powerful witches.
