Chapter 044: The Core

获得主角能力的我只想过平凡生活 · 第044章 核心

In fact, before coming to Hong Kong Island, Will had already developed a murderous intent toward Guo Wei.

As long as he killed Guo Wei, he would very likely replace him and become the organization's head in Southeast Asia. This temptation was by no means small for Will.

So after arriving on Hong Kong Island, Will began to implement his plan.

But before that, he had to be of one mind with his teammates, because the enemy had likely already set up a dragnet.

So after landing on the island at dawn, Will explained his thoughts to his three teammates and used his formidable power to subdue them. Having gained their support, he took them sightseeing, pretending to be tourists on the island, while secretly inquiring about Guo Wei's movements.

However, the results of his inquiries shocked Will.

He had originally thought that Guo Wei would be under tight protection by the Hong Kong police, after all, as the person in charge of Southeast Asia, Guo Wei was of great importance.

Perhaps the enemy had already laid an inescapable net. Yet the truth was exactly the opposite.

The Hong Kong authorities did not seem to value Guo Wei, or perhaps they were completely unaware of his importance. Although they had deployed some police forces to protect him, the level of protection was utterly beneath Will's concern.

To put it bluntly, even if he were to force his way through this loose protection, Will could go in and out seven times unscathed.

However, Will did not act rashly.

Because he was afraid it was a trap.

So Will decided to make a small probe, and through this probe, he found that his worries were unnecessary; the Hong Kong side had not taken Guo Wei seriously, and the protection was insufficient.

So Will decisively changed his plan, infiltrated the hospital alone, disguised himself as a doctor, slipped into the ward, found the unconscious Guo Wei, and while pretending to treat him, damaged his brain.

Afterward, Will left the ward smoothly.

Soon, the unconscious Guo Wei was brain dead.

The hospital instantly fell into chaos and began to lock down, not allowing anyone to leave.

But by now, Will had already left the inpatient building, evaded the police cordoning off the hospital, and was only a few minutes away from the hospital exit.

But at that very moment, a whirlwind appeared beneath his feet.

The next second, Will found his vision blurring, and he was no longer in the hospital corridor but in an unfamiliar living room.

Standing before him were two women and one man.

Before Will could even react to how he had ended up here, one of the women, dressed in a Police uniform, demanded of him, "Who are you, and why did you kill Guo Wei!!!"

At this moment, Will's expression changed. He hadn't expected to be seen through.

Moreover, the other party had been able to bring him here without a sound—a method that both astonished and unsettled Will. Instinctively, he stepped forward and struck at the female officer's head.

As long as he killed everyone present, he would be safe.

Will thought so.

Yet in the next second, an invisible force descended. Will found that the air around him seemed to have solidified, and he too was frozen, maintaining his punching posture, unable to move at all.

At this moment, Will's heart sank to the bottom.

He hadn't expected that, having completed his mission and being on the verge of a promotion and raise, he would end up capsizing at this critical juncture.

The great ups and downs of life came too fast for Will to bear.

A few seconds ago, when Yazi saw this golden-haired, blue-eyed man lunging at her, she knew she had hit the jackpot. Instinctively, she clapped her hands and used the immobilization spell to freeze Will.

Yazi looked at the immobilized Will, circled around him, carefully scrutinizing him, then reached out and removed the mask from Will's face. "You are the one who killed Guo Wei?"

Wil didn't speak; he remained silent.

Yazi didn't mind; from his attire and his attitude just now, this man was very likely the murderer of Guo Wei.

He shot a triumphant grin at Chun-Li. "See? I told you my method would work."

Chunli knew that Yazi had only succeeded by sheer luck, but she didn't mind. Although Guo Wei was dead, it was truly fortunate to be able to catch his murderer.

"Who exactly are you? Why did you kill Guo Wei? Were you and Guo Wei colleagues? Do you have any accomplices, and where are they?" Chunli interrogated.

Weir remained silent, his eyes moving as if he were thinking about something.

Wang Bo said, "This man is very stubborn. You'd better just hypnotize him."

Yazi nodded. "I think it'll work."

She walked up to Will, looking directly into his eyes, and said, "Who are you? What is your name?"

Will originally didn't want to answer, but when he saw Yazi's gaze, he was immediately drawn to the red light flickering in her eyes, slowly sinking into it, a trace of confusion appearing on his face.

"Who are you?" Yako asked again.

"I am Will. Will Charles." Will answered with a blank expression.

"You killed Guo Wei."

“Yes, I killed him.”

"Why did you kill him."

"Only with him dead can I become the head of Southeast Asia." Will had long lost himself in Yazi's gaze, essentially answering every question she asked.

Chunli already knew the power of hypnosis; last night she had seen Yazi hypnotize Taishan and basically drain him of all his secrets.

Yazi smiled smugly and continued, "Do you have any accomplices?"

“Yes.”

There are several.

"Three."

"Who are they?"

"One is named Saito, a Japanese; one is named Zhang Hua, a Malaysian; and the last one is named Arno, a black man." Under the influence of hypnosis, Will unhesitatingly betrayed his companions.

“Where are they?”

"They are waiting for me at a XX hotel."

Wang Bo frowned at this. Ma You and Barbara were staying at this very hotel. He hadn't expected Will's Tonghuo to also be staying here, which caught him off guard.

Yazi asked, "What is your status in your organization?"

"I am the head of Southeast Asia, based in Singapore. Among the Southeast Asian members, apart from Guo Wei, I hold the highest position. Within the organization, my rank is not low; I am a senior member, second only to the core members."

Yazi asked excitedly, "How many core members does your organization have in total?"

Will said dully, "Our organization has a total of ten core members."

"Who are they?" Yazi felt that she could now unveil the mystery of this organization.

Weir nodded and listed the core members of the organization one by one. As a high-ranking member of the organization and the head of a country, he was qualified to know who the core members were.
