Chapter 005: Ideas
获得主角能力的我只想过平凡生活 · 第005章 想法
In Wang Bo's view, the allure of money was immense.
Perhaps some people could take it lightly, but most could not—like the big-breasted beauty before Wang Bo, who chose to succumb under the charm of money.
After learning of Wang Bo's desire to purchase, she handled the procedures for him as quickly as possible.
What would have been tedious formalities, driven by money, were completed in just a few hours.
Once everything was settled and Wang Bo had the keys to the mansion, he invited the big-breasted beauty to dinner, and she agreed without hesitation.
Not only was dinner held at Wang Bo's home, but after the meal, the big-breasted beauty even took the initiative to engage in a contest with Wang Bo.
The process of the contest is omitted; the result was as expected—Wang Bo won decisively.
The next day, after driving the big-breasted beauty away, Wang Bo suddenly realized something.
Despite their deep exchange, he still did not know the big-breasted beauty's name.
What a... pity.
Of course, this regret was soon cast aside by Wang Bo. He drove his car and wandered around the bustling city of New York.
As for school, that had never been an option from the start.
But Wang Bo hadn't been carefree for long when his phone rang.
Wang Bo drove with one hand while pulling out his phone; the caller ID showed... Mary Jane!
Wang Bo answered the call, and Mary Jane's concerned voice came through, "Thompson, what's going on? Why haven't you come to school yet? And I didn't see you yesterday afternoon; the school said you left early. What's wrong with you?"
"No, nothing." Wang Bo yawned and said, "I'm fine."
"Then why aren't you coming to class?"
"I've decided I'm not going to class anymore, Mary Jane."
"You're dropping out?" Mary Jane seemed very surprised, her voice involuntarily rising. Wang Bo even heard exclamations from people around her on the phone.
"What? Thompson is dropping out? Flash Thompson?"
"How is that possible?"
"What about our next game?"
Wang Bo asked, "It sounds like there are a lot of people around you, Mary Jane."
"Yes, they're all your friends, Thompson. Are you really dropping out? Do your parents agree? Thompson." Mary Jane asked seriously, "What are you going to do now? Tell me you're joking, that you're just messing with me."
Wang Bo said, "No, I'm serious. Okay, Mary Jane, I have things to do. That's it."
After hanging up, Wang Bo casually tossed his phone onto the passenger seat and drove back to Flash Thompson's home.
Thompson's home was a very ordinary villa with three floors: basement, first floor, and second floor. The second floor had four rooms; the first floor had a living room, a dining room; there were bathrooms upstairs and downstairs. There were green spaces in the front and back of the house, which could be used as gardens.
A garage could hold two cars. Many residents parked one car outside, presumably for daily use, though perhaps in winter both were kept inside.
To be honest, this house had no special features; it was common everywhere in New York. The entire house, including furniture, cost about one million dollars.
For a middle-class family in New York, it was well within their means to buy such a house.
Wang Bo parked the car at the door, opened it, and walked in.
At that moment, Flash Thompson's parents were still having breakfast in the first-floor dining room. Seeing their son walk in from outside, his mother immediately began to complain.
"Where did you go last night, Eugene? Why didn't you come home all night?"
Thompson's father glanced at him and then focused on his breakfast, figuring that since his wife had already spoken, he didn't need to say anything.
His wife could handle their son.
Wang Bo walked up to the middle-aged couple and said, "I want to move out."
"Move out?" Thompson's mother was taken aback, then said in surprise, "What's gotten into you, Eugene? Isn't it comfortable living at home?"
"I want to be independent. That's all."
"But you're not qualified to be independent yet, Eugene." His father finally put down his sandwich and looked up at his son. "The food you eat, the things you use, the clothes you wear, the house you live in—I provide all of it. You've never earned a single cent with your own hands, so I don't think you have the right to be independent."
"That's right, Eugene. Have you been upset by something?" Thompson's mother looked at him with concern. "Or has someone been bullying you? Tell me, and I'll take care of it."
Wang Bo curled his lip. He knew this wouldn't go smoothly.
But Wang Bo was prepared. He raised his hand and snapped his fingers.
The two immediately became dazed.
Then, using hypnosis, Wang Bo hypnotized Flash Thompson's parents, making them believe that their relationship with their son was extremely strained, so they couldn't care less about his independence.
After that, Wang Bo transferred one hundred million dollars to the couple as compensation.
After all, because of him, their son had simply vanished. Though this wasn't something Wang Bo could control, it was the least he could do for them.
When Wang Bo lifted the hypnosis, the couple's gaze toward him shifted from concern to disgust.
Thompson's father said without any pretense, "What are you doing back here? Didn't you want to be independent? Get out of this house now."
Thompson's mother seemed a bit soft-hearted, but she opened her mouth and said nothing, choosing silence.
Wang Bo nodded and turned to leave.
As he walked out the door, he heard Thompson's mother say, "Our son is getting more and more rebellious. He was so cute when he was little."
Thompson's father said impatiently, "Why bring up his childhood? I don't have such a rebellious son."
Thompson's mother said, "Maybe we should have another child."
"Hmm, we can talk about that tonight."
Incidentally, the idea of having another child was also something Wang Bo had implanted during the hypnosis. He had also cast a small spell on Thompson's parents to keep their bodies full of vitality.
Though it would only last three days, that was enough for them to conceive another child.
This was also Wang Bo's compensation.
As for how the couple would treat the new child afterward, Wang Bo didn't know.
Driving his Ferrari away from the house, he wandered around New York for a while, feeling like he had nothing to do, when a new idea suddenly popped into his head.
Come to think of it, in the last world, he seemed to have drawn the AllSpark from the Transformers universe.
