Chapter 009: The Savior

Alright, time to act!

Wang Bo saw Wonder Woman in action and knew he couldn't just sit around anymore. If he kept sitting, what if Wonder Woman killed the monster and then hid herself?

So he instantly vanished from the room.

The next second, Wang Bo appeared on the battlefield in Lima.

He was only a little over a hundred meters from the monster, and the monster's gaze immediately locked onto Wang Bo.

Wang Bo hovered high in the air, meeting the monster's enormous eyes. Using his X-ray vision, he saw that Wonder Woman had already charged from the monster's waist to its chest; perhaps it wouldn't be long before she could break into its head.

Wang Bo smiled slightly. "Don't worry, I'll put you out of your misery now!"

During the Silver Age, Superman could melt anything with just his heat vision. Although Wang Bo wasn't that powerful yet, after days of evolution, his heat vision had reached thousands of degrees, close to the surface temperature of the sun.

Even without the enhancement of Ripple or the Nine Yang True Qi, his heat vision was still astonishing.

The next second, Wang Bo gently turned his head.

The red heat vision instantly sliced through the monster's neck. The immense cutting power easily breached the monster's defenses, as if smashing through rotten wood.

In an instant, the monster's roar ceased abruptly.

Wang Bo retracted his heat vision.

The monster stood motionless on the sea surface, and the churning waves around it gradually subsided.

The drones circling Wang Bo faithfully recorded this scene. Audiences sitting before their televisions held their breath, as if witnessing a miracle.

A few seconds later, Wang Bo blew gently, and the monster's head rolled cleanly off its neck, splashing into the sea with a plop, raising a spray of water.

When the monsters humanity had created themselves proved no match for the real monsters, someone finally stood up and instantly killed one.

The savior humanity had long awaited had arrived.

A few minutes later, Wonder Woman, covered in blood, burst out from the monster's neck. She gave her body a slight shake, and the monster's blood splattered away.

She was once again dressed in her striking attire.

Wonder Woman seemed to know who had killed the monster, and her gaze involuntarily fell on Wang Bo.

Wang Bo slowly flew over, landing on the monster's massive corpse, and walked up to Wonder Woman Diana.

"Nice to meet you, Miss Diana Prince." Wang Bo greeted her.

Diana was taken aback. "You know me?" she said in surprise.

In this world, people called her the Redeemer, the Monster Hunter, the Female Tyrannosaurus. No one knew her real name except her partner.

She hadn't expected this man, whom she had just met, to blurt out her name.

This piqued Diana's curiosity.

"Of course," Wang Bo said modestly. "Princess Diana of Themyscira, daughter of Zeus, king of the Olympian gods, and Hippolyta, queen of the Amazons. Your name is thunderous in our world."

Diana was startled. "What? Zeus? I'm Zeus's daughter? That's impossible!"

Wang Bo was surprised. "You didn't know?"

"I... my mother never told me I was Zeus's daughter," Diana said incredulously. "My mother told me she shaped me from clay."

What?

Wang Bo was stunned. Which version of Wonder Woman from the multiverse was this?

If Wang Bo remembered correctly, there were indeed many versions of Wonder Woman in the multiverse, and one of them was the clay version.

In this version, the Amazons were created by the Greek goddesses in 1200 BC from the souls of women killed by men.

At the time of creation, the goddesses used the soul of the first murdered woman to create Queen Hippolyta. But they missed one soul, which would later become Diana, Hippolyta's daughter.

In the 20th century, Hippolyta shaped a baby girl from the clay on the shores of Themyscira, and the six gods of the Pantheon infused the forgotten soul into it, creating Diana.

Demeter gave her strength; Athena gave her wisdom and courage; Artemis gave her a hunter's heart and the ability to communicate with animals; Aphrodite gave her beauty and a loving heart; Hestia gave her the flame of truth; and Hermes gave her super speed and the power of flight.

But in other versions, Diana was the illegitimate daughter of Zeus, king of the Olympian gods, and Hippolyta, queen of the Amazons, possessing demigod blood.

Seeing Wang Bo's surprised expression, Diana couldn't help asking, "Am I really the daughter of the king of the gods?"

Wang Bo thought for a moment and said, "Can you control lightning, Diana?"

Diana nodded. "I can indeed control lightning."

"Then that settles it," Wang Bo said with a snap of his fingers. "You are indeed the daughter of Zeus, king of the gods. Your ability to control lightning is proof."

If this were the clay version of Diana, she wouldn't have the power to control lightning, which was enough to confirm her identity.

But this answer surprised Diana greatly. "Why? Why did my mother never tell me that my father was a god, and that I'm a demigod?"

No wonder she had such astonishing talents; after training, she could defeat anyone on Themyscira.

So she was a demigod.

Just then, Wang Bo suddenly heard a pleasant female voice in Diana's ear: "Diana, the UN people are coming. You should leave."

Only then did Wang Bo notice that Diana had a tiny earpiece in her ear.
