Chapter 039: Departure

获得主角能力的我只想过平凡生活 · 第039章 离开

If Supreme Treasure truly understood the concepts of minutes and seconds, he might have been able to return to the right point in time.

As for why he suddenly traveled five hundred years into the past at the end, it was probably because when he used the Moonlight Box, he subconsciously let himself go, wanting to start over from the beginning to save everyone, so he went straight back five hundred years.

If things really were as he imagined, then the Moonlight Box was even more practical than he had thought.

Wang Bo held the Moonlight Box in his hand, playing with it for a while before putting it back into his fourth-dimensional pocket.

Then, with a teleport, Wang Bo returned to London.

After sending Steve Rogers back to the Marvel world, this world was once again free of travelers.

Wang Bo could leave this world at any time. If possible, he wanted to leave right now and never come back, but before departing, he had to say goodbye to one person.

Wonder Woman, Diana.

He and Diana had been through so much together, and they had developed a very deep bond, but it was not a romantic one.

Wang Bo admitted that Diana was an extraordinary woman.

She was brave, generous, beautiful, elegant, and perhaps possessed a uniquely feminine gentleness.

If Wang Bo were a man of single-minded devotion, marrying Diana would be a no-brainer, but the problem was that he was not such a man.

In the world of Di Renjie, he not only had Hanyue and Yushu, but also Xiao Bai and Xiao Qing by his side.

To put it bluntly, Wang Bo was a playboy.

Would Diana be with a playboy? If they did get together and Diana asked him to leave Xiao Bai and Xiao Qing, what would he do?

Because he was uncertain about this, during his time with Diana, Wang Bo did not flirt with her; he treated her entirely as a comrade-in-arms.

That was why things between Wang Bo and Diana never turned romantic.

They remained close comrades.

Now that Wang Bo was about to leave this world, he could not just disappear without saying a word.

So he returned to London and found Diana, who was busy working.

Pushing open the office door, Wang Bo stepped inside and immediately saw Diana, dressed in a stylish ladies' outfit typical of the era, sitting at her desk handling a mountain of paperwork.

In this state, Diana was a far cry from the valiant warrior woman; she had lost some of her heroic spirit but gained a touch of charm that made his heart skip a beat.

Wang Bo took a deep breath, suppressed that fleeting flutter, walked over with a smile, and sat down across from Diana. "How does it feel to work in an office?" he asked.

Diana didn't look up from her work. "Terrible. I feel like I'm rusting away."

"Want to have a fight then?" Wang Bo said with a grin.

Diana's eyes lit up. Sparring with Wang Bo was always enjoyable—she could cut loose, and every session taught her something new.

"Sure." She shoved the papers aside and stood up. She was tired of the office anyway; a little exercise would do her good.

Wang Bo grabbed Diana's hand and pulled her into the Mirror Space. The two of them let loose and started fighting across London.

Bang!

With a huge explosion, Diana was sent flying straight out of her office.

Wang Bo pursued her, and they engaged in a fierce aerial battle.

This time, Wang Bo didn't use magic enhancement, ripple energy, Nine Yang True Qi, or Cosmo enhancement—only Superman's strength.

But even so, he still surpassed Diana.

Having spent nearly half a year in this world, Wang Bo evolved every day; Superman's bloodline constantly strengthened his body.

In terms of pure strength, Wang Bo had exceeded 100,000 tons.

That was a terrifying number. If he used various powers to enhance himself, he could easily lift millions of tons. His speed had already surpassed Mach 100; while he couldn't yet move at light speed, he could travel at hundreds of times the speed of sound.

To put it bluntly, Wang Bo was now on par with the Golden Age Superman.

And he was still growing stronger. In a few years, he would reach the peak of Golden Age Superman, or even surpass him.

Under such overwhelming power, Diana was naturally no match for him.

Even though Diana had also improved significantly over the past six months, mastering her own abilities and Zeus's divine power, she still couldn't contend with Wang Bo.

Fortunately, Wang Bo wasn't a heartless brute who showed no mercy in battle. He kept his strength at a level close to Diana's and traded blows with her.

They fought spectacularly for several hours, nearly destroying half of London in the Mirror Space. When Wang Bo sensed Diana was exhausted, he increased his power and ended the fight.

Diana stood up from the rubble, dusted off her clothes, and said, "You're just as ruthless as ever."

Wang Bo replied helplessly, "If I deliberately lost to you, would you be happy?"

"Of course not," Diana said without hesitation. She wasn't the type to be a sore loser.

"So whether I win or lose, it's wrong," Wang Bo shook his head. "I can't win."

Diana couldn't help but laugh.

Back in the office, Wang Bo dispelled the magic and returned to the real world. He sat down on a chair and said slowly, "Not long ago, I found the traveler in this world and sent him away."

Diana was taken aback. She looked up at Wang Bo. "So you've come to say goodbye."

She had heard a little about his work.

Wang Bo nodded. "Yes, I'm here to say goodbye."

"No wonder you suggested sparring today. So that's what it was about," Diana said, realization dawning. Usually, she was the one who proposed fighting, and he reluctantly agreed.

Today was out of the ordinary. She had started to wonder if he had changed his mind and was trying to win her over.

She hadn't expected he was leaving.

This made her quite sad. In this world, aside from the Amazons, she was closest to Wang Bo. His departure naturally filled her with reluctance.

But she was not a sentimental woman. Knowing that Wang Bo had his own work to do, she didn't try to stop him. Instead, she said, "I hope we can meet again someday."

Wang Bo nodded. "If a traveler ever appears in your world, I'll definitely come."

"And if I ever learn to travel between worlds, I'll come visit you."

Diana smiled. "It's a deal."

"Yeah, it's a deal."

After bidding farewell to Diana, Wang Bo left this world that very night.
