Wang Bo rubbed his temples, set down Himiko, and said, "This is a long story."

Just now, he had entered the Time Villa, summoned the demons through the butler, and suppressed Himiko's power himself while the demons extracted Himiko's soul from Laura's body, releasing Laura's soul.

Yet Himiko showed no fear, instead watching Wang Bo with a mocking smile.

"You won't succeed. You can't save Laura," she asserted.

In Wang Bo's view, Himiko was completely bluffing. He casually ordered the butler, "Begin."

The butler nodded. Thousands of demons took their positions according to the hexagram magic array, with Himiko, captured by Wang Bo, at the center. Though surprised by the multitude of demons, Himiko remained unafraid.

When the demons activated the magic array, a powerful pulling force gradually dragged Himiko's soul out of Laura's body.

The process was agonizing, like having your heart slowly pulled out of your body without anesthesia. The pain was enough to make one writhe in agony.

Himiko was no exception.

She desperately channeled her spiritual power to resist, but Wang Bo, standing by, naturally wouldn't let her succeed. He increased his magical output, suppressing Himiko's spiritual power.

Himiko's resistance was futile, and the demons eventually pulled her soul out of Laura's body.

Wang Bo sneered at the weakened Himiko and attempted to awaken Laura's soul.

But at that moment, the most unexpected thing happened: he couldn't find Laura's soul in her body. This was extremely awkward.

Himiko seemed pleased with Wang Bo's shocked expression, laughing boldly. "Maybe you should take a closer look at my soul. You might find a surprise."

Wang Bo was taken aback. Just then, the demon butler whispered, "Master, this woman's soul composition is very complex—it's pieced together."

"Pieced together?" Prompted by the demon butler, Wang Bo realized that Himiko's soul was indeed murky, not pure like an ordinary person's.

Within that murkiness, Wang Bo faintly detected Laura's aura.

His heart skipped a beat.

"You merged with Laura's soul?" Wang Bo's eyes widened in fury.

Himiko said, "Laura agreed to it."

"Do you think I'd believe that?" Wang Bo sneered. He wouldn't believe that Laura willingly let Himiko devour her soul.

Himiko smiled. "Believe it or not, it's the truth. If you kill me, Lara Croft will die completely and never be revived."

Seeing Himiko's smugness, Wang Bo wanted to punch her to death.

But he couldn't.

If he did, as Himiko said, Laura would never be revived.

"What now?" Wang Bo turned to his butler, as demons were experts in such matters.

But the butler looked troubled. "I'm sorry, Master. This fusion is irreversible. We cannot separate the two souls."

Wang Bo fell silent.

Himiko's smug smile faded as she said slowly, "No one can separate us. I am Himiko, and I am also Laura, but I am always Himiko. If you wish, you can think of me as Laura. I have always been your friend, and if you want, I can be your lover."

Wang Bo couldn't help but scoff. "An old hag who's lived who knows how many years, and she wants to be my lover? What nonsense."

Himiko fell silent, staring at Wang Bo with malicious eyes.

Wang Bo said slowly, "Don't think I can't do anything to you just because of this, Himiko. You'll never know how powerful I am. I will save Laura."

Himiko gave a dismissive, mocking smile. "Is that so? Then I'd like to see what you can do."

Laura's soul had been merged with hers; the two were now one.

Not even Wang Bo, not even a god, could do anything about it.

Wang Bo waved his hand, ordering the demons to send Himiko's soul back into Laura's body, then said to his butler, "I want to know all her memories."

He wanted to know what had happened after he sent Laura back, and why the Yamatai Kingdom had appeared in this world.

Also, why Laura had been devoured by Himiko.

The butler dared not delay. "Leave it to us, Master."

He and the other demons combined their powers, cast a spell, and against Himiko's will, forcibly extracted her memories, displaying them in full detail before Wang Bo.
