Chapter 014: Evidence

Wang Bo had an F-word he wanted to say to Meng Bo.

He had originally planned to look at the photos first, confirm the kidnappers' faces, then use his X-ray vision to scan Daikanyama and see if he could find the group's whereabouts.

But what the hell were these photos?

Even if Wang Bo's X-ray vision was incredible, there was no way he could see through the masks in the photos to the faces underneath—that was simply beyond what X-ray vision could do.

Even clairvoyance couldn't do it.

Meng Bo said helplessly to Wang Bo, "That group was very cautious. These are the only photos we have, and they give a rough idea of their builds and heights."

"Do you have any clothes they wore, blood they left behind, or weapons they used?" Wang Bo changed his approach.

Meng Bo thought for a moment and said, "Yes, but those items aren't with me—they're with the Japanese law enforcement."

"Can you get them?"

"What do you need them for?" Meng Bo asked in surprise.

"I have a special ability. If you can get those items, I can find the group's whereabouts."

Meng Bo's eyes lit up at Wang Bo's words, and he asked eagerly, "Are you serious?"

"What do you think?" Wang Bo countered.

Meng Bo said, "Wait a moment, I'll make a call."

He pulled out a phone from his pocket, dialed a number, and after a while, hung up and said to Wang Bo, "Let's go."

Wang Bo nodded and followed Meng Bo out of the guesthouse. Meng Bo hailed a taxi, and the two arrived at a park in Shibuya.

About half an hour later, a woman with shoulder-length hair, delicate features, wearing a blue ladies' suit jacket over a white blouse and a matching skirt—beautiful and alluring—appeared in Meng Bo and Wang Bo's view.

When Meng Bo saw her, his eyes nearly popped out, and he trotted over to greet her.

"Saeko, long time no see. You look gorgeous today."

Wang Bo watched Meng Bo's infatuated expression and chuckled inwardly—another simp.

But that was just Meng Bo's nature; he already knew it from watching the movie, so it wasn't surprising.

The beautiful, alluring woman smiled at Meng Bo. "Ryo, long time no see. I didn't expect that after all this time, the first call you'd make to me would be to ask for evidence from the Metropolitan Police Department. Isn't that a bit too much?"

Meng Bo's expression changed, and he said with a pitiful look, "Saeko, I'm doing this to help you solve the case."

"Is that so?" Saeko gave a noncommittal smile, then turned her gaze to Wang Bo. "And this is..."

Meng Bo coughed and said, "Let me introduce you. This is a fellow hunter from the Hunter Guild, Wang Bo. And this is my friend from the Tokyo Metropolitan Police, Saeko Nogami."

Wang Bo looked at Meng Bo and said, "She called you Ryo?"

Meng Bo gave a dry laugh. "You have to understand, people like us often have multiple identities. In Japan, I'm Ryo Saeba; in Hong Kong, I'm Meng Bo."

Wang Bo: ...

He remembered that before his transmigration, when the manga City Hunter was introduced to Hong Kong, Ryo Saeba was translated as Meng Bo.

He never thought that meeting the real person would come with such an explanation. What a riot.

"Nice to meet you, Wang Bo-san. I'm Saeko Nogami." Saeko Nogami acted as if she hadn't heard Meng Bo's explanation—or perhaps she already knew and didn't care—and instead greeted Wang Bo.

Wang Bo nodded and replied, "Nice to meet you, Miss Saeko Nogami."

This time, he had formally introduced this man to her, which was enough to show that this man was no ordinary person.

But the name Wang Bo seemed somewhat unfamiliar, though she felt she had heard it somewhere before.

However, she couldn't recall it at the moment.

Seeing Saeko Nogami looking at Wang Bo with her beautiful eyes, Meng Bo felt a twinge of jealousy and quickly interrupted their eye contact. "Saeko, did you bring what I asked for?"

Saeko Nogami smiled slightly, withdrew her gaze, and pulled out a knife wrapped in a plastic bag from her pocket.

"Will this do?"

Wang Bo took the knife and asked, "Is this a weapon used by the criminals?"

"Yes," Saeko Nogami nodded.

"It'll work." Wang Bo tore open the plastic bag, cast a spell, and an invisible magical force struck the knife, causing the black blade to tremble slightly.

Then, with a bang, it turned into a white dove, spread its wings, and flew off in a certain direction.

"Follow it." Wang Bo strode forward, unhurriedly chasing after it.

Meng Bo and Saeko Nogami quickly followed, exchanging glances and seeing the surprise on each other's faces.

Meng Bo, following the dove, couldn't help asking, "What the hell is this?"

"Just a small ability," Wang Bo said modestly. "It turns the knife into a dove that returns to its last owner."

This little spell was something Wang Bo had learned from the little Taoist in Xiao Bai's world.

Though it had no combat use, it was very practical.

And now, it came in handy.

Saeko Nogami's eyes darted around, her gaze at Wang Bo growing more intense. As a policewoman, she understood better than anyone the importance of this small ability.

With such an ability, catching fleeing criminals would be a piece of cake.

It seemed that Meng Bo's companion really had some skills.

She should get on good terms with him.

While Saeko Nogami was busy thinking about how to build a good relationship with Wang Bo, Wang Bo noticed that the white dove was not heading toward Daikanyama.

But toward Harajuku.

Although both places were in Shibuya, they were completely different.

Wang Bo couldn't help turning to look at Meng Bo. "You idiot, didn't you say they were in Daikanyama?"
