Chapter 15: Formal Contract

获得主角能力的我只想过平凡生活 · 第015章 正式契约

According to Wang Bo's speculation, a grown Elsa should be no less formidable than an ordinary deity, and being able to teach a deity was a novel experience for Wang Bo.

So the next day, Wang Bo began teaching the sisters Elsa and Anna.

But before teaching, Wang Bo gave Anna a boost, granting her magical power; otherwise, it would have been uncertain when the little girl would cultivate magic on her own.

Once Anna awakened her magic, Wang Bo started teaching the two sisters how to control it.

Elsa listened more attentively.

She was different from her sister; even if Anna had magic, it would be hard for her to harm others with it, first because Anna's magic was too weak, and second because Anna's magic was different from hers.

Elsa's magic was naturally cold; with a wave of her hand, she could create a vast expanse of ice and snow.

If she couldn't control it properly, a sneeze might freeze someone to death. So to protect her family from harm, Elsa trained very hard, wishing she could master her magic in a single day.

But that was clearly impossible.

After all, she was still a child, lacking that level of control.

Even so, Elsa's progress was visible, far surpassing Anna's, earning praise from Wang Bo.

Such talent was truly rare; Wang Bo had taught several students, but none had Elsa's gift—let alone Miyamizu Mitsuha.

Wang Bo suspected that if this continued, within ten days, Elsa would be able to control the magic within her body perfectly.

By then, combined with her powerful magic and her ability to create ice and snow, she would be enough to defeat an ordinary mage.

Compared to Elsa's progress, Anna's was not as great; though she improved, it was mediocre. From this, it was clear that Anna had no real talent—she was just an ordinary girl.

But Anna was still Wang Bo's student, and he certainly wouldn't despise her; he continued to guide her patiently.

Because Elsa was so talented, Wang Bo focused most of his attention on Anna, spending far more time instructing her than Elsa.

And Elsa, being a broad-minded little girl, naturally didn't envy Anna.

The relationship between the sisters was better than imagined.

The two sisters came to the Lonely Mountain during the day to learn magic from Wang Bo and have a meal there, then returned to Arendelle at night to reunite with their parents, living a more comfortable life than Wang Bo himself.

Incidentally, if Meiko had free time, she would also drop by the Lonely Mountain, but usually in the evening, so every time she came, Elsa and Anna had already left, which left Meiko quite helpless.

After a few days, news finally came from the Iron Hills.

The ruler of the Iron Hills, Dáin II Ironfoot, would personally come to the Lonely Mountain to sign a contract with Wang Bo. Wang Bo looked forward to it greatly, and on the day of the signing, he sent the red dragon Margaret to the Iron Hills to pick up Dáin II Ironfoot.

When the dwarves of the Iron Hills saw a red dragon descending from the sky, they were initially panicked, but after the red dragon Margaret identified herself, they calmed down.

But then, there was another uproar.

No one had expected that besides Smaug, the King of the Lonely Mountain had another red dragon no less formidable than Smaug—it was simply unbelievable.

With two dragons guarding the Lonely Mountain, it was as stable as a rock.

After some discussion, the ruler of the Iron Hills, along with some dwarves, climbed onto the back of the red dragon Margaret, and under her escort, they arrived at the Lonely Mountain.

Wang Bo had been waiting for a long time and presented Ironfoot with a brief but lively welcome ceremony.

Hundreds of fireworks shot into the sky, brilliant and beautiful, dazzling even in broad daylight.

Ironfoot was flattered by Wang Bo's welcome. With two dragons, the Lonely Mountain's strength already surpassed the Iron Hills, so he had to be cautious and avoid saying anything disrespectful to Wang Bo, the King of the Lonely Mountain.

This was the prudence a king should have.

Wang Bo didn't mind and remained enthusiastic.

During their conversation, they brought out the contract and signed their names, officially establishing diplomatic relations between the Lonely Mountain and the Iron Hills.

Wang Bo smiled heartily, and Ironfoot smiled happily as well.

When Wang Bo asked if there were dwarves willing to accept his employment and work for him, Ironfoot replied, "Yes, indeed many dwarves are willing to accept Your Majesty's employment and come to the Lonely Mountain to work for you, but the price needs further discussion."

"The price is easy to discuss," Wang Bo said with a wave of his hand. "You name a figure, and I won't argue."

Ironfoot felt a mix of envy, jealousy, and hatred upon hearing this.

Although his Iron Hills were rich in iron ore, life there was not prosperous—after all, iron ore couldn't be spent as money. But Wang Bo, having captured the Lonely Mountain and defeated Smaug, now possessed all the wealth of the mountain and was extremely wealthy.

Ironfoot wanted to name an exorbitant price and gouge Wang Bo, but considering the two dragons at the Lonely Mountain, he maintained his reason and offered a reasonable price.

Wang Bo immediately agreed. "No problem."

Seeing Wang Bo agree so readily, Ironfoot immediately regretted it, feeling he might have asked for too little. But Wang Bo's two dragons made him abandon any thought of backing out.

As a qualified king, he could control his greed well.

On the other hand, Wang Bo knew that not all dwarves of the Iron Hills would work for him, so he said to Ironfoot, "I hope you can do me a favor and tell dwarves elsewhere that the Lonely Mountain is recruiting dwarves, with favorable prices, and I will never mistreat any dwarf."

Ironfoot heard this and patted his chest, saying, "Rest assured, I will spread the word."

Ever since the Lonely Mountain was breached by Smaug, many dwarves had been displaced and mixed into human society, and many lived unhappily.

If they could return to the Lonely Mountain and accept Wang Bo's employment, that would be excellent.

After all, the price Wang Bo offered was very good.

Especially the free drinks—even Ironfoot was envious, for those were fine wines.

If it weren't for the fact that he, Ironfoot, was the ruler of the Iron Hills and couldn't leave, he would want to work for Wang Bo, to drink those mouthwatering wines every day.

Wang Bo noticed this and, when Ironfoot returned to the Iron Hills, gifted him a dozen carts of wine.

These wines would be enough for him to drink for a year.
