Chapter 008 Trauma

The sudden explosion brought forth a massive flower of death; the brilliant flames bloomed like a fiery blossom, and the shadow of death followed. The entire convoy was stunned.

In the explosion, countless armored vehicles were torn to shreds.

One after another, vibrant lives stepped into death amid the flames.

Screams filled the air.

The blast wave overturned the truck carrying Megatron, and the container rolled out onto the road.

Optimus Prime snapped back from the sudden explosion, scanning the F-22 Raptor jet fighter streaking across the sky, and warned, "Watch out, it's Starscream."

Sure enough, the fighter descended from the sky and in an instant transformed into a Decepticon. His right hand became a cannon, mercilessly spraying fire at the human convoy.

The storm of bullets—rat-tat-tat—routed the human convoy.

Seeing this, Optimus Prime decisively accelerated, caught up, rolled on the ground, transformed into a Cybertronian, and kicked Starscream, who was in the midst of slaughter, flying away.

Starscream was enjoying the kill when suddenly he was kicked away, naturally furious. He barely managed to steady himself, turned around, and was startled.

For Optimus Prime had already caught up, drawn a long sword, and was swinging it down at Starscream's head.

Starscream saw that his attacker was none other than Optimus Prime, let out a strange cry, leaped aside, and with a clatter transformed into a jet fighter, soaring into the sky, leaving Optimus Prime behind.

He knew Optimus Prime's strength well—it was no less than Megatron's, far surpassing his own. If he fought head-on, he might very well be killed.

So Starscream would never do anything so foolish.

Better to leave such an opponent to Megatron.

Meanwhile, after several collisions, the overturned container began to deform. The cooling system was damaged, and the long-impatient Megatron seized this golden opportunity to break free.

He had had enough of being studied day and night by humans, enough of being a tool.

The fragile container could not withstand Megatron's fury; he easily tore it open and stood upon the earth.

A gale howled past as Starscream descended from the sky, landing behind Megatron and transforming into a Decepticon.

"At your service, great Lord Megatron."

Megatron said angrily, "You took too long, Starscream. If it weren't for your usefulness, I'd tear you apart."

If not for this slacker's slow pace and lack of effort, he would have escaped long ago.

"Megatron!"

Seeing his archenemy free, Optimus Prime was not too dismayed. Without Starscream's interference, he could have easily killed Megatron, but that would have lacked a certain satisfaction.

Now that Megatron was free, Optimus Prime was filled with battle lust.

He preferred to beat him to death with his own hands, to sever their恩怨 once and for all.

"I wondered who it was. It's you, Optimus Prime." Megatron, barely free, saw his old friend and was overjoyed.

Just then, Bumblebee and the others caught up, transformed into Cybertronian forms, and stood behind Optimus Prime.

Especially Bumblebee, who held the AllSpark in his hands.

This excited Megatron even more. "Hand over the AllSpark, Optimus Prime. Perhaps, for old times' sake, I'll let you off."

Optimus Prime naturally refused, brandishing his sword to show his resolve. "The AllSpark will never fall into your hands. It does not belong to you, Megatron."

Wang Bo, hearing this, thought it was rather weak. If it were him, he would have said, "Megatron, you're dreaming of eating farts!"

Crude yet elegant, with a hint of playfulness.

Megatron and Optimus Prime had fought for years, so he knew Optimus Prime's character well. But he didn't take the threat seriously, scanning Optimus Prime's comrades one by one.

"You can't stop me, Optimus Prime. With just you lot, you can't stop me... Retreat!!!"

The next second, Megatron seemed to see something unbelievable. In an instant, he transformed into a jet and shot into the sky, disappearing beyond the horizon.

Ironhide, Bumblebee, Jazz, Ratchet: ...

Starscream stared blankly at his fleeing leader, then at Optimus Prime's group. He had a curse on his lips, but fortunately, he reacted in time. Almost as soon as Megatron fled, he transformed into a fighter and zipped away.

Xiao Qing asked in surprise, "When did you meet Megatron?"

"Back when I didn't know you yet," Wang Bo said. "I met him in another world. He had crossed over to another world, landed on Earth, and happened to meet me."

"So you sent Megatron back to this world," Xiao Qing realized.

Wang Bo nodded.

"Then why is he so afraid of you?"

"Probably because we had a little conflict back then," Wang Bo said sheepishly. "I was a bit too rough and almost killed him, so..."

Optimus Prime: "..."

Bumblebee said, "No wonder he ran. Looks like you gave him some serious trauma."

Wang Bo said helplessly, "I didn't mean to. When he met me, he was all cocky, but his strength was too weak. Before I even tried, he was down."

Jazz felt he had something to say. If Megatron was too weak, then what about himself, who had been torn in half by Megatron? Did that mean he had let the Autobots down and held them back?
