Chapter 025: Interference

获得主角能力的我只想过平凡生活 · 第025章 插手

Half an hour later, Wang Bo arrived at the Sahara Desert.

A small Kryptonian spacecraft hovered above the desert, patrolling as if searching for Wang Bo's trail, after all, this desert was vast.

Wang Bo circled the desert at super speed, spotted the Kryptonian ship, and flew before it.

After scanning Wang Bo, the Kryptonian ship stopped.

Both sides descended from the sky onto the desert at the same time.

With a hissing sound, the hatch of the Kryptonian ship opened, and a staircase extended from inside, landing on the soft sand.

Several men and women wearing helmets and super-tech armor walked down from the ship.

Wang Bo stood a dozen meters away from the ship, quietly watching them.

There were six people in total.

Leading them were a man and a woman, behind whom stood four fully armed soldiers.

Wang Bo turned his gaze to the leading man. "Are you Zod?"

The man looked at Wang Bo and shook his head. "You are not Kal-El. Who are you? Where is Kal-El?"

He knew Kal-El's parents, but this man bore no trace of that couple, not even a hint of resemblance. He was a stranger.

Seeing that the man did not deny the address, Wang Bo knew he was indeed Zod, and said, "Zod, Kal-El is not here. You've come to the wrong planet."

"Impossible," said Zod. "We could not have made a mistake. Kal-El is on this planet, on Earth."

Wang Bo said, "Kal-El is indeed on Earth, but not this Earth—another Earth. General Zod, you are a Kryptonian general, well-traveled and knowledgeable. You must know of the multiverse."

Zod immediately caught on. "You want to tell me that my ship crossed the stars but came to the wrong universe?"

"Yes," Wang Bo nodded. "You are no longer in your original universe. You have arrived in a new universe, a new Earth. This world has no Kal-El."

"Absurd." Zod would not believe a stranger's words at all.

Wrong universe?

Zod considered himself powerful, but not powerful enough to traverse universes. He thought his Krypton was strong, but Kryptonian technology had not reached that level.

"Perhaps you don't believe me, or find it absurd, but everything I say is true. Allow me to introduce myself. I am an envoy of the Multiverse Deity. There was once a chaos in the multiverse, causing universes to intersect, and some people entered other universes for no reason."

Wang Bo pointed at himself. "And my job is to send you—those who have strayed into other universes—back to your own homes."

Zod looked at Wang Bo with a dark expression. He felt the man was mocking him, but as a general, he had to consider the possibility that the man might be telling the truth.

Could he really have come to the wrong universe?

Zod's reason told him this was utter nonsense—how could something as absurd as crossing universes happen? But the man before him, whether in reason or expression, did not seem to be lying.

He pondered for a moment and said, "How can you prove what you say is true?"

Wang Bo said, "It's simple. Just take my hand, and I can send you back to your original universe."

Zod couldn't help but frown.

He didn't know whether to trust Wang Bo, and a bad feeling lingered in his mind, though he didn't know why. Could it be a trap?

But if it was just a handshake...

Just then, the woman standing beside him stepped forward and said, "General, let me be the proof."

Zod thought for a moment and nodded.

Wang Bo said, "You must be Miss Faora."

"You know me?" Her words admitted her identity.

Wang Bo said, "You are General Zod's second-in-command. Of course I know you. Come, take my hand, and I will send you back to your original universe."

But at that moment, a jet plane sped in from afar, flying lower and lower. Just before crashing into the ground, its body began to transform, and in the blink of an eye, it became Megatron.

"If I were you, I wouldn't take that hand."

Zod stared in surprise at the suddenly appearing Transformer. "And who are you?"

"Cybertron, Megatron. Welcome, guests from another universe." Megatron's electronic eyes flickered a few times as he spoke slowly.

Zod looked at Wang Bo, then asked Megatron, "What did you mean by that?"

Megatron said, "I once went to another universe and was sent back by that man. But he sent me to the North Pole, where I was frozen for countless years."

Zod was startled.

He finally understood the bad feeling he had earlier.

If the man was telling the truth, he had concealed a key piece of information.

Where would he send him in the original universe?

If it was Earth in the original universe, that would be fine. But if he had even a hint of malice and sent him to the vacuum of space or deep into the sun of the original universe, could he survive?

That would mean putting his life entirely in this man's hands.

"You dare deceive me!" Zod flew into a rage, clenched his fist, and slammed it hard at Wang Bo's head.

Wang Bo raised his hand and easily caught Zod's fist.

Not bad. The strength was exaggerated, but not yet at the megaton level—maybe a hundred thousand tons or so. Worthy of a Kryptonian general, truly powerful.

Zod was shocked. After arriving on Earth and absorbing solar radiation, his power had increased dramatically, even he found it incredible.

If he had possessed such strength back then, he would have succeeded in his rebellion long ago and never been exiled to the Phantom Zone.

Yet he never expected that this overwhelming strength would be so easily caught by the other man.

"I did not deceive you," Wang Bo said calmly. "Megatron's case was just an exception."

He really hadn't known that after being sent back, Megatron had ended up in the North Pole.

What bad luck.

Or was it the inertia of the plot?

"General!" Faora, seeing Zod's hand caught by Wang Bo, stepped forward and struck Wang Bo's forehead with her delicate fist, carrying immense power.

Bang!

Wang Bo was sent flying, hurtling hundreds of meters, smashing through several rocks before stopping.

But in less than a hundredth of a second, Wang Bo flew back and punched Faora in the stomach.
