Chapter 022: Invisibility

Amidst the overwhelming green light, Wang Bo saw Hela's smile.

A careless yet arrogant smile.

As if she had never taken Wang Bo seriously, but Wang Bo intended to give Hela a surprise, so he smiled at her and made an onomatopoeic sound with his mouth.

Then Hela felt as if her face had been violently struck by a fist, and her entire body, like a meteor streaking across the sky, instantly fell into the forest below.

But before Hela could react, the third punch arrived as promised.

This time it was the chin. Accompanied by the sound of shattering bones, Hela shot up like a rocket, piercing through layers of clouds, rising several kilometers into the sky.

The next second, Wang Bo appeared before her, unhesitatingly raising his fist—capable of shattering meteors and crushing the earth—and struck Hela.

A tremendous explosion sounded, and Hela burst apart.

Wang Bo was sent flying by the blast; the powerful energy shockwave swept in all directions, forming a terrifying vacuum zone. Wang Bo tumbled hundreds of meters before stopping.

Hela had been blown up by him? How was that possible?

Wang Bo had no intention of killing Hela, and that punch just now couldn't have destroyed her. As the goddess of death, how could she lose to him so easily?

Wang Bo remembered that Hela had an astral projection spell, which could create a magical分身 made of psychic energy, and this分身 retained all her abilities.

In other words, what Wang Bo had just blown up was merely Hela's分身.

Wang Bo teleported back to the forest, trying to find traces of Hela, but found that she had disappeared from the spot, leaving him utterly astonished.

Hela had actually hidden herself.

The dignified goddess of death, the villain who had annihilated the Valkyrie corps, the violent element imprisoned by her kind old father for her warlike nature, had actually hidden herself.

She was unwilling to continue fighting with Wang Bo, which gave him a headache.

Was Hela really this cowardly? It shouldn't be.

So Wang Bo quickly cast a circular barrier around himself, protecting himself within it.

At the same time, he flew high into the sky, his eyes scanning, again probing the ground for hundreds of miles, even using magical power to enhance his physical senses, trying to find Hela hiding nearby.

But no matter how he searched, Wang Bo could find no trace of Hela. She had vanished like a ghost.

He had to admit that Hela's magic was superior to his own.

He simply couldn't see through Hela's magic.

Wang Bo had to heighten his vigilance, because Hela was actually hiding nearby, watching him in secret, waiting to deliver a fatal blow.

But unfortunately, Wang Bo's abilities were limited; he couldn't find Hela.

A third magical energy came from beneath Wang Bo's feet, striking the barrier. The golden barrier rippled in layers but blocked Hela's attack.

But Wang Bo couldn't move around with a barrier forever. Once he dropped the barrier, Hela's attack would follow immediately. Without finding Hela's exact location, Wang Bo would always be on the defensive.

If that were the case, he would be in big trouble.

As the saying goes, one can guard against thieves for a thousand days, but not live as a thief for a thousand days.

Wang Bo had to find a way to force Hela to reveal herself and then capture her in one fell swoop. While increasing his magical power to maintain the barrier, he racked his brain for a way to pinpoint Hela's location.

To buy time, Wang Bo said loudly, "Goddess Hela, I think we can talk."

Hela didn't respond; the fourth wave of attack came.

But Hela still gave no reply, as if she didn't believe a word Wang Bo said.
