Wang Bo stepped through the portal and entered the half-ruined palace, startling everyone present.
Several grave robbers, seeing Wang Bo and the still-spinning portal behind him, couldn't help swallowing, feeling they might be in big trouble.
After Jonathan entered, Wang Bo casually closed the portal.
O'Connell stared at Wang Bo as he walked in, his mouth wide open. "Jonathan, Wang Bo, it's you, you're back. But what's going on with you?"
Evelyn looked at Wang Bo, her boiling magical power gradually extinguishing. She gazed at him without speaking.
Wang Bo smiled faintly, swept his eyes over everyone, and with a casual wave, a visible golden palm swept through the air, striking the three grave robbers and sending them flying.
This was not magic, but martial arts.
One of the Seventy-Two Shaolin Ultimate Techniques, the Prajna Palm.
But after Wang Bo modified it, its power greatly increased, easily crushing steel. If Wang Bo hadn't deliberately held back, the three grave robbers would not have simply been sent flying but would have been smashed into pulp.
After Wang Bo waved his hand and sent the grave robbers flying, he said slowly, "Long time no see, Evelyn, and O'Connell."
"Indeed, long time no see."
O'Connell stepped forward and gave Wang Bo a hug. "Not long ago, when Evelyn came to find me, she said you had been missing for years. I didn't expect you to be back."
"I just got back too," Wang Bo said with a smile. "Not long ago, I returned to London and saw Jonathan. He said Evelyn had brought you to deal with the Scorpion King, so I hurried to find you."
O'Connell couldn't help laughing and patted Wang Bo's back firmly. "Thanks for your concern."
"It's only right," Wang Bo said.
After O'Connell released Wang Bo, he hugged Jonathan as well. "And you, Jonathan."
Evelyn walked over. "Hey, long time no see."
"Indeed, long time no see," Wang Bo said.
"When you left back then, I never thought you'd be gone this long."
"Actually, I didn't expect to be gone this long either."
"Where did you go?" Evelyn asked curiously. "I once looked for you, but couldn't find you."
"My experience is quite miraculous. I'll tell you when there's time later."
"I have time now," Evelyn said, wanting Wang Bo to give her an explanation.
"Uh, alright then. Let's go back to the estate first, and we'll talk slowly there." As he spoke, Wang Bo opened a portal to the Eastern Estate.
"Wait, wait..." O'Connell quickly stopped him. "At least let me pick up my wife, and we'll go back together."
Wang Bo nodded. "No problem. Where is your wife? We'll go get her now."
"She's at a hotel in Cairo," O'Connell said. "The Four Seasons Hotel."
"Alright, let's go to Cairo first." Wang Bo closed the portal to the estate and opened another portal to Cairo, striding in.
Then came Jonathan, Evelyn, O'Connell, and the little boy Alex in his arms, looking amazed.
"Wow, this is really amazing."
Upon hearing this, Wang Bo nodded and said, "Magic is always so amazing."
Alex said, "Are you the Easterner skilled in magic that my father spoke of?"
"That's right, it's me."
"Then can you summon ghosts? My father said you could raise an army of the dead." Alex asked, his eyes wide.
Wang Bo couldn't help but glance at O'Connell, never expecting that O'Connell would even tell his child about such things.
O'Connell said helplessly, "He really likes those strange adventure stories."
Jonathan chimed in, "Every boy has an adventurous heart."
Alex couldn't help but laugh happily.
Evelyn looked around and found it was a narrow, empty alley, so she interrupted, "Maybe we should discuss magic after we get to the hotel, okay?"
O'Connell said, "Of course."
The group walked out of the alley, merged into the crowd on the main street, and headed toward the Four Seasons Hotel.
Jonathan asked curiously, "I don't get it. Why would you leave your wife at the hotel and take your kid to Thebes? Isn't that dangerous?"
O'Connell said helplessly, "Believe me, that was never my intention."
Alex said smugly, "He wanted to leave both me and Mom at the hotel, but I sneaked out and followed him. By the time they found out, it was too late."
Jonathan exclaimed in surprise, "Well, you sure are bold."
O'Connell sneered, "I hope your butt isn't swollen from spanking when you get back."
Alex shuddered in fear and said pitifully, "You won't stand by and do nothing, right?"
O'Connor was unmoved; he had already made up his mind that once he got back, he would hand his son over to his wife and let her teach that audacious little brat a proper lesson.
He was furious about the little fellow secretly following him.
The group followed O'Connor back to the Four Seasons Hotel, went upstairs, and pushed open the door to the hotel room. There they saw a woman sitting in the living room, arguing with a man.
O'Connor's smile instantly froze.
The man and woman who had been arguing in the room saw O'Connor enter with a group of people. The man looked uneasy, while the woman sighed with relief and quickly hurried over.
"My God, you're finally back, O'Connor."
The woman stepped forward and hugged O'Connor, then took Alex from his arms, kissed him on the forehead, and whispered, "I'll deal with you later."
O'Connor said stiffly to the man, "Welcome, James."
The man named James nodded and said, "Welcome back, O'Connor."
Jonathan asked in a low voice, "What's going on? Who is that man?"
Wang Bo rolled his eyes. "You ask me, who do I ask?"
"Let me introduce you. This is my wife, Karen—Evelyn has already met her—and this is my wife's brother, James, a bastard. Am I right, James?"
O'Connor said through gritted teeth while slapping James on the back.
James's back was slapped so hard it cracked, showing that O'Connor was using considerable force. James, gasping for breath, quickly said, "Oh, I remember I have something very important to do. Sorry, O'Connor, I have to go."
With that, he nodded to the few people present and hurriedly left.
Wang Bo glanced at Karen and noticed that even though O'Connor was bullying her brother so badly, she didn't plead for him. It was clear she really didn't care for her brother.
