Chapter 053: Extreme Training Method

获得主角能力的我只想过平凡生活 · 第053章 极限训练法

After Wang Bo brought out the magic carpet, everyone boarded it and set off.

The magic carpet was fast—though not light-speed, it could certainly go supersonic. Wang Bo remembered that in Aladdin's story, Aladdin was once sent to the ends of the earth by the villain Jafar.

Either the South Pole or the North Pole.

Then the magic carpet set out from Arabia and found Aladdin before he froze to death, bringing him back. That speed was definitely supersonic.

Even most airplanes couldn't match that speed.

Wang Bo and his group rode the magic carpet eastward for over half an hour before finding the person they were looking for.

The future Scorpion King, Mathayus!

At that moment, Mathayus was drinking water by a river. His brother and former companions had vanished; now beside him was a gaunt man.

Seeing this, Wang Bo roughly guessed what had happened.

Mathayus and his brother had once been hired by a nomadic tribe to assassinate the sorceress Cassandra, but they were betrayed. Besides him, who had barely survived, his brother and companions were all dead.

The man now with him was his new companion.

A thief.

The two were planning to return to Gomorrah to take revenge on Memnon—more precisely, Mathayus alone intended to go back for revenge. He couldn't let his brother die in vain.

And so the two of them unexpectedly encountered Wang Bo's group here.

When Wang Bo saw Mathayus, he had the carpet land. Mathayus looked at Wang Bo with wary eyes and quietly picked up his weapon.

Seeing this, the thief stepped back in fear. He didn't want to provoke mysterious wizards.

"No need to be tense, Mathayus. We mean you no harm," Wang Bo said, waving his hand.

But Mathayus didn't let his guard down. Instead, he said coldly, "Is that so? Your words aren't very convincing." As he spoke, he couldn't help glancing at Cassandra.

Of course he knew this woman. If she hadn't pleaded with Memnon back then, he would have died at Memnon's hands. But even so, he hadn't fared well—Memnon had buried him alive.

If not for luck, he would have died.

So he didn't feel much gratitude toward Cassandra, only curiosity. Why was she with these two? Wasn't she Memnon's sorceress?

Or had Memnon discovered he was still alive and sent this woman to eliminate him root and branch?

Wang Bo smiled and asked, "Are you going back to take revenge on Memnon now?"

"So you've come to stop me?" Mathayus asked.

"In a sense, yes," Wang Bo said bluntly. "I just don't want you to go back and get yourself killed."

"You think I'm going to my death."

"Exactly. You're strong, but you're no match for Memnon."

Though Wang Bo looked down on Memnon, he had to admit that as a major villain, Memnon was indeed stronger than Mathayus. Without Cassandra's help, Mathayus couldn't have defeated Memnon.

"Then let me show you my strength!" Mathayus decided to strike first. He lunged with his long sword, planning to defeat this mysterious man before settling accounts with Memnon.

But before he could reach Wang Bo, he felt a heavy blow to his chest.

A tremendous force sent him flying more than ten meters, and he crashed to the ground with a thud. Fortunately, Mathayus was tough and wasn't seriously hurt.

His vision just went dark for a moment.

Before Mathayus could react, an invisible force seized him and pulled him in front of Wang Bo, his arms spread wide like Jesus on the cross.

Mathayus strained with all his might but couldn't break free.

The thief watched dumbfounded, muttering, "I knew it, I knew it, I knew these wizards were all monsters."

Mathayus glared angrily at Wang Bo. Though captured, he would never yield.

"Go on, kill me," he roared.

Wang Bo said calmly, "You're overthinking it, Mathayus. I'm not here to kill you today. I'm here to train you."

Mathayus was stunned.

Wang Bo continued, "Memnon is not a qualified ruler. So I need you to defeat him, take his place, and become a worthy ruler, Mathayus."

Mathayus looked at Wang Bo skeptically. "Are you serious?"

"Yes."

"Why me?"

"For now, you're the most suitable candidate." Wang Bo wasn't familiar with this era. The only king he knew of who fit this time was the Scorpion King, Mathayus. Apart from him, Wang Bo didn't know any other kings.

Mathayus said, "Can you let me go?"

"Sure." Wang Bo nodded and released his telekinesis. Mathayus was free again. Now he somewhat believed Wang Bo's words.

After all, if the man had wanted to kill him, he could have done so just now.

"How do you plan to train me?" Mathayus asked. Now that he was sure the other party meant no harm, he didn't mind becoming stronger.

"Leave that to me," Milo suddenly stepped forward and said. "Your fighting just now was crude and unbearable. I couldn't stand it, so I've decided to train you myself."

Mathayus looked disdainful, even a little displeased. "A woman?"

Milo gave a tight smile. "It seems you look down on women."

"No, I just think women are naturally weaker than men," Mathayus said bluntly.

Milo stepped forward, appearing before Mathayus in a flash. With a flick of her finger, she sent him flying dozens of meters. He landed awkwardly on the ground, almost knocked breathless.

"Now, do you still dare say that?"

Mathayus took a deep breath. It took him a while to recover. Trembling, he stood up. "Fine, I admit you're an exception."

A flick of a finger could send him flying dozens of meters. Were all women nowadays monsters?

Milo said, "Since there's no problem, let's start right away. Your physique is excellent, so I've decided to use the extreme training method on you."

Mathayus pointed at his trembling legs. "Can't we wait until I recover before training?"

Milo sneered, "The extreme training method is about constantly pushing your limits. What's a little pain now? Get running, Mathayus. If you want to defeat Memnon, you can't even handle this—you'll just be feeding him kills!"

Milo turned into a demon instructor and began the most brutal training for Mathayus.
