Chapter 033: Bomb

“I can’t see through you.”

James Gordon and Wang Bo got into a new police car. Officer Gordon said to Wang Bo, "Are you a blood-soaked thug or a life-saving saint?"

Wang Bo said, “Everyone has two sides, good and evil coexisting. Right now, in me, the good side has overwhelmed the evil side, so I am now a saint who saves lives. Are you satisfied with this answer?”

Gordon glanced at Wang Bo, sighed, and said, "Alright, that counts as an answer, but I'm not very satisfied."

Obviously, he knew Wang Bo was talking nonsense, but the problem was that Wang Bo was unwilling to speak, and he had no way to force an answer.

He skillfully started the police car and continued forward.

This time, nothing unexpected happened along the way, and Wang Bo and Gordon arrived at the courthouse without incident.

Gordon parked the police car at the main entrance of the courthouse, led Wang Bo out of the car, and ascended the steps to enter the courthouse.

At this moment, there were still twenty minutes until the court session began.

Gordon brought Wang Bo to a waiting room, where they waited for the court to convene.

The two of them sat on a chair, quietly waiting for time to pass. Outside the waiting room door, two police officers stood guard.

Time ticked by, minute by minute, and neither of them spoke.

Ten minutes before the court session was to begin, there came from outside the sound of heavy objects thudding to the ground.

Gordon suddenly stood up, but before he could draw his gun, the door to the waiting room was pushed open.

A man in a suit walked in. He was over fifty but very healthy, though his face was cold and gave off a powerful sense of oppression.

Gordon drew his pistol and aimed it at the man, but for some reason, he always felt a deep sense of insecurity.

The gun was clearly in his own hand, and the muzzle was aimed at the man in the suit.

But he just didn't feel safe at all.

"Who are you?" Officer Gordon asked in a deep voice.

However, the man in the suit did not acknowledge Officer Gordon. In his eyes, it seemed as if Officer Gordon did not exist at all—this was a complete and utter disregard.

He looked at Wang Bo and said matter-of-factly, "Adam Wang, you're coming with me."

Wang Bo looked at the man, guessing his identity, and a flash of insight struck him. "The Ninja Master?"

“It’s me,” the man admitted.

"Is there something you want from me?" Wang Bo asked.

The ninja master did not respond; instead, he said, "This is not a place to talk. You should come with me. Only I can lead you out of here."

“I’m not leaving!” Wang Bo had no intention of leaving this place.

The Ninja Master said expressionlessly, "Then you will die here."

“You think you can kill me?” Wang Bo laughed. Not to brag, but in this world without the Flash, without Superman, without Green Lantern, without superpowers.

The ninja master was no match for him.

Wang Bo could defeat him without the slightest effort.

The ninja master did not mind Wang Bo's tone, but instead said, "I know you've had a fortuitous encounter, but that is no reason for you to be proud."

"I think I should be proud." Wang Bo instinctively wanted to make a move.

The ninja master saw through this and said, "I advise you to calm down, unless you want the people here to die."

Wang Bo was taken aback and stopped his movement, asking, "What do you mean?"

"I have installed enough bombs here to blow the entire courtroom sky-high," said the Ninja Master. "With a single command from me, everyone will be buried with you."

Wang Bo's face turned ashen.

Gordon's face also turned grim.

If anyone else had said these words, Wang Bo would not have believed them, but coming from the Ninja Master, he had no choice but to believe.

Because this guy has a misanthropic personality.

If Wang Bo remembered correctly, the only goal of the Ninja Master was to eliminate all of humanity and build a world according to his ideals.

Of course, in this world, the ninja master's ambition was not yet so grand. His goal had narrowed considerably: to destroy what was not worth saving, and that included Gotham City.

And the people living in Gotham City were the targets he wanted to destroy, so his words were by no means an exaggeration.

"Fine, I'll go with you."

Wang Bo couldn't bear to watch hundreds of people be buried with him; he wasn't cold-blooded enough for that.

Gordon didn't know how to stop him, so he could only say, "If you leave, you'll be wanted by the police."

Wang Bo said helplessly, "What can I do? I'm desperate too. You don't actually think this guy was just talking, do you?"

Gordon: ...

The ninja master said calmly, "No more nonsense, let's go."

Wang Bo nodded.

He followed behind the ninja master, left the waiting room, and walked along the corridor. On the way, they encountered several police officers who, instead of stopping them, let the two leave.

The two of them left the courthouse without giving an answer, and got into a car.

The process went smoothly, almost unbelievably so.

The Ninja Master said, "Our people have infiltrated every level of Gotham City. What you see here is only a small part of our forces."

Wang Bo already knew this and asked, "So, what do you want from me?"

There seemed to be no connection between Adam Wang and the Master of Ninjas.

The Ninja Master said, "We once had a partner in Gotham City."

"I know the Falcone family."

"But now, the Falcone family has a new master." The Ninja Master opened the car's refrigerator, poured Wang Bo a glass of wine, and said, "I want to know what exactly happened. Who is the person now in charge of the Falcone family?"

Wang Bo suddenly realized, "So that's why you came to me."

The Ninja Master did not conceal it. "That's right. According to my investigation, you once had a violent conflict with the Falcone family, yet you came back alive. I believe you must know a lot about the Falcone family."

Wang Bo was about to speak when the phone in his pocket suddenly rang.

He made a gesture to ask for patience and answered the phone, "Hello."

"What the hell are you doing? Why didn't you show up in court?" Bruce Wayne's voice came through the phone. He had done so much for Wang Bo, yet Wang Bo had stood him up.

"I was captured by your master," Wang Bo said truthfully.

Bruce Wayne couldn't help but be startled, then said skeptically, "He could capture you?"

Although he didn't know much about Wang Bo's abilities, he had learned from Gwen that he was definitely not human.

Wang Bo said helplessly, 'I have to go. He installed bombs in the courthouse powerful enough to destroy the entire building.'

Bruce Wayne couldn't help but draw in a sharp breath of cold air.

The ninja master said, "You're on the phone with Bruce?"

"That's right." Wang Bo handed the phone over. "Care to have a chat between master and apprentice?"
