Chapter 028: This Planet Is Yours

When Shizuka Tokisada saw the countless gold coins and gems, her first reaction was... if only this money were mine.

The next second, her brain's self-protection mechanism kicked in, and Shizuka Tokisada closed her eyes and fainted.

Smaug looked at the uninvited woman, sparks shooting from his nostrils, as if considering whether to burn her to ashes.

But considering she had entered through the newly opened portal, Smaug abandoned the idea, closed his eyes, and retreated back.

A cascade of gold coins rolled, burying his head again.

Meanwhile, Wang Bo had arrived in the DC world and found the scientist among the Kryptonians.

After General Zod's death, Faora became the leader of this group. And this scientist, due to his special status, became the second-in-command among the Kryptonians.

Wang Bo recalled the man's name seemed to be... Ladlow.

"Faora hasn't returned yet," Ladlow said immediately upon seeing Wang Bo.

Wang Bo shook his head and said, "I came to see you."

"To see me? Is it about the monster cells?" Ladlow was not familiar with Wang Bo; their relationship was purely that of superior and subordinate.

"I found an Earth suitable for you to live on, in another world. It's not much different from this Earth and is very suitable for you."

Ladlow's lips moved several times, almost speechless.

He hadn't been this excited since Krypton's destruction.

Without a suitable planet to live on, they were like cosmic wanderers, and very weak ones at that; one misstep could lead to total extinction.

After a long while, Ladlow came to his senses and asked tremblingly, "Does General Faora know about this?"

After General Zod's death, Faora took over as general.

And Wang Bo became the leader of the Kryptonians.

"She is carrying out a mission I assigned her and doesn't know yet. But when she returns, I'll give her a surprise."

Ladlow nodded, wiped the tears from his eyes, and asked softly, "Can I go see that planet?"

"Of course." Wang Bo, without another word, took the scientist and left the DC world, returning to the treasure room in Middle-earth through the portal.

As soon as Wang Bo entered, he saw Shizuka Tokisada lying unconscious on the ground.

Ladlow saw her too but said nothing.

A flicker of surprise passed through Wang Bo's eyes; he hadn't expected Shizuka Tokisada to actually follow. This woman had some courage. So he raised his hand, reached into his fourth-dimensional pocket, and pulled out a Horse Talisman, tossing it over.

Shizuka Tokisada's failing body quickly healed with the help of the Horse Talisman.

Soon, she woke from her faint.

After she stood up, Wang Bo gestured with his hand, retrieved the Horse Talisman, and threw it back, saying, "Since you're awake, come with me. From now on, you're my subordinate."

Shizuka Tokisada's eyes flickered a few times, but she didn't argue.

The three of them passed through the portal again and returned to the Highschool of the Dead world.

Standing on the rooftop of Fujimi Gakuen Private High School, Ladlow looked around and saw scenes of utter devastation.

He couldn't help but ask, "My lord, what happened to this world?"

Wang Bo said, "I'm not entirely sure of the specifics, but a virus outbreak suddenly occurred in this world, turning humans into zombies. It has now spread across the entire world. I've already sent my men to deal with the zombies."

"But by the time my people finish cleaning up, most of humanity in this world will be nearly extinct. So I plan to give this world to you to reshape. From now on, this planet is yours."

Ladlow suddenly understood—no wonder the lord was giving them this world; humanity here was almost wiped out. That way, they wouldn't have to consider the Earthlings and could freely transform this planet into a second Krypton.
