Chapter 006: Seeing with One's Own Eyes

获得主角能力的我只想过平凡生活 · 第006章 亲眼所见

But when General Zod led his last remaining kin across the stars and arrived on Earth, he didn't realize that he had made a slight error during the interstellar journey.

He and his ship had crossed over.

He hadn't come to the Earth of the DC world, but to the Earth of the Transformers world.

And then he was killed by Wang Bo.

But this also proved one thing: the Kryptonian ship had been activated, and Clark already knew his identity, knew that he was called Kal-El, knew that he was a Kryptonian.

Yet his earlier performance made it seem as if he truly didn't know who he was.

Perfect, too perfect.

If he hadn't known the plot, Wang Bo might have been fooled as well.

Who would have thought that you, Superman with those big honest eyes, had learned to act.

Clark hadn't expected his disguise to be seen through by Wang Bo. After hesitating for a moment, he didn't continue the act but chose to negotiate.

"Yes, I know who I am. I am a Kryptonian."

Faora glared angrily at Clark. If Wang Bo weren't there, she would have punched him in the face without hesitation. She had almost been deceived by this bastard just now.

"You deceived your own people. You are disgusting, Kal-El."

Clark remained silent. He was only protecting himself, because he wasn't clear about the true purpose of these people coming to Earth.

Was it the Codex?

Or this planet?

"Enough, Faora." Wang Bo stopped Faora, who was about to say more, and looked seriously at Clark. "Let's get straight to the point, Clark. We came to find you for only one reason: the Codex. Without the Codex, we cannot increase our people."

Since Wang Bo had become the leader of the Kryptonians, it was not inappropriate for him to call the Kryptonians his people.

Of course, this didn't mean Wang Bo would deny being an Earthling.

Wang Bo knew very well that he was an Earthling, but also the leader of the Kryptonians.

"You didn't grow up on Krypton; you grew up on Earth. So your feelings for Earth far exceed those for Krypton. That's normal. But I hope you can hand over the Codex so that our people can reproduce smoothly. That's not too much to ask, is it, Clark?"

Clark said, "That request is not excessive, but I want to ask you a few questions."

"Go ahead."

"Krypton has been destroyed. You have lost your homeland. Do you intend to turn Earth into a second Krypton?" Clark looked at Wang Bo with sharp eyes.

"What if my answer is yes, I do want to turn Earth into a second Krypton?"

"Then I'm sorry, I cannot give you the Codex." As he spoke, Clark tensed his muscles, ready for battle. "This is not Krypton. This is Earth."

"Then you can rest assured. I don't plan to occupy this Earth."

"What?" Clark was bewildered.

"You know about parallel worlds, right? We already have an Earth, in another world."

Clark looked at Wang Bo in disbelief. Precisely because he understood, he found it incredible. "Has Kryptonian technology advanced to this level?"

If they could even access parallel worlds, why was Krypton destroyed?

"You're overthinking it." Wang Bo said, "The one who can enter other worlds is not a Kryptonian; it's me."

"You?" Clark looked Wang Bo up and down. A sudden thought flashed through his mind. "Are you Zod?"

"It seems Jor-El told you a lot about Krypton. No, I am not Zod. I am Wang Bo, an Earthling, and also an envoy of the multiversal god."

"An Earthling." Clark found it increasingly strange that an Earthling had become the leader of the Kryptonians.

Wang Bo smiled and told Clark his story, briefly explaining how he became the Kryptonian leader. Finally, he joked, "In the end, you should thank me. If I hadn't killed Zod, you would probably have had a violent conflict with him, and this Earth would have suffered."

Clark took a moment to digest Wang Bo's words and asked, "So, you plan to rebuild Krypton on the Earth of another world?"

"Yes."

"And what about the humans on that Earth? What will happen to them?"

"They were almost extinct anyway, so I plan to relocate the survivors to another world."

"You killed them!!!" Clark sensed a great bloodiness in Wang Bo's words. He had no doubt that Wang Bo's group could do such a thing.

He was a Kryptonian himself; he knew better than anyone how powerful Kryptonians were.

"You're overthinking it." Wang Bo said calmly, "A group of people in that world invented a virus that turns humans into zombies. Then they poisoned the entire world, triggering a生化 apocalypse. Countless people died."

"If I hadn't sent my men to kill all the zombies, the people of that world would have suffered even more. Because of my intervention, that world still has over a hundred million people."

"So I plan to migrate those hundred million people to another world and use this planet to rebuild Krypton."

"We've prepared almost everything. The only thing missing is the Codex."

"As long as you give us the Codex, we can rebuild Krypton in no time."

"Clark, you are a Kryptonian too. Don't you want to rebuild your home planet?"

Wang Bo's words moved Clark. His thoughts churned, and finally he said, "I want to see that planet."

"No problem. Come with us."

Wang Bo led Clark back to the villa where the Kryptonians were staying, and through the portal in the villa, returned to Middle-earth.

"This is the Lonely Mountain, my territory. These doors are all portals, each leading to a new world. The world you want to go to is here."

Then Wang Bo took the lead and returned to the Highschool of the Dead world.

Faora and Raddor followed closely.

Clark turned and glanced at the treasure room of the Lonely Mountain, saw Smaug among the piles of gold coins, but said nothing and eventually followed.

Passing through the portal, Clark arrived in a new world.

He stood in a luxurious palace, saw Wang Bo and the others about to leave the palace, and quickly followed. Stepping out of the palace, Clark found himself on a school playground.

He looked back and saw that the luxurious palace was actually the school's teaching building.

But inside, it didn't look like a teaching building; it was a splendid and spacious palace.

It was severely inconsistent with its exterior.
