Chapter 042: Easy Business

Selina Kyle finally took the IOU, not because she chose to trust Wang Bo, but because there was really nothing of value to be gained from him.

So she decided to use this IOU to get money from Bruce Wayne.

As for how to get half a million dollars from a playboy, Selina said she had many ways.

Not afraid that Bruce Wayne would deny the debt.

So she grabbed an expensive handbag, stepped into a pair of sky-high heels, and swayed out the door with alluring grace.

As for Wang Bo, after making himself a breakfast, he lay down on the sofa and watched TV.

He watched with great relish.

Around noon, Selina Kyle returned from outside. Wang Bo sat up and asked, "So, was the mission completed?"

Running an errand for half a million dollars was definitely one of the best deals she had ever made in her life. She took a note out of her bag and handed it to Wang Bo.

"This is what Bruce Wayne asked me to give you."

Wang Bo took the note and glanced at it. It read: "I'll find the Ninja Master as soon as possible, but I need AFO's help!"

It was signed by Gwen Stacy.

Wang Bo immediately understood that Selina had indeed met Bruce Wayne; the Master of Ninjas did not know Gwen Stacy's real name.

What surprised Wang Bo, however, was that Bruce Wayne actually needed AFO's help.

It seemed that he had already realized that the real threat to Gotham City, the one who wanted to destroy it, was not AFO but his own mentor.

Wang Bo thought for a moment, turned to Selina Kyle and said, "I have another errand here worth five hundred thousand dollars. I wonder if Miss Selina is interested."

"Fifty thousand US dollars, and just a simple errand? Are you sure?"

“Yes.”

"Yes, why not." Selina Kyle said she had never taken such an easy job in her entire life. Five hundred thousand dollars for one run—wouldn't that be five million for ten?

Not every theft she committed could net her that much money. And all of it was stolen goods; getting rid of them was no easy task, and even if she did, the price would be driven very low.

The money that fell into her hands was pitifully little.

So five hundred thousand US dollars was by no means a small deal for her.

"Who is it this time that you want me to see?"

Wang Bo said, "This time, I hope you can go to the Falcone family and find the new master of the Falcone family, AFO."

"AFO? Who is that? When did the master of the Falcone family become AFO?" Selina Kyle didn't know any AFO.

She remembered that the head of the Falcone family should be the Roman Carmine Falcone.

Wang Bo said, "You don't need to worry about that. Just help me deliver a message."

"No problem."

Wang Bo found a pen and paper, wrote down the origins of the Ninja Master and a request for AFO to find him, and told AFO that if he found the Ninja Master, he should inform Bruce Wayne without alerting anyone.

Because there might be observers of the Ninja Master around Bruce Wayne.

Be sure to tell Bruce Wayne under the safest circumstances.

The letter was signed "All Might."

Wang Bo believed that after AFO saw this signature, he would know that the letter was written by Wang Bo. After all, there were very few people in this world who knew who All Might was.

After writing the letter, Wang Bo handed it to Selina Kyle. "This time, you'll move at night, using your Catwoman identity."

Selina Kyle took the letter, glanced at it a few times, folded it up, and tucked it into her bosom. “So, who do I ask for my five hundred thousand this time? This AFO?”

"Yes." Wang Bo said.

AFO controls the Falcone family; a mere five hundred thousand dollars is nothing but a drop in the bucket for him.

After all, he was once the dark emperor who had ruled Japan for over a hundred years; there was no way he would care about money.

"No need for an IOU this time?" Selina asked.

"No need."

Time slipped away in the blink of an eye; the setting sun on the horizon finally descended, the bright moon rose, and the stars shone brilliantly.

Night dominated the earth.

Perhaps because she was about to earn half a million dollars, Selina Kyle was especially excited.

That evening, she went to the trouble of cooking two steaks, opening a bottle of red wine, and having a small candlelit dinner with Wang Bo.

After two glasses of wine, Selina's face was flushed. In the candlelight, her beautiful face was delicate and alluring, stunningly gorgeous, almost breathtaking.

She was not the type to get drunk after just one glass.

After the small candlelit dinner ended, Selina returned to the bedroom, changed into her Catwoman outfit, opened the window, and threw a flirtatious glance back at Wang Bo. "I'll be right back."

Wang Bo remained calm, because he knew very well that Catwoman's words were not hinting at anything to him, as she was not the kind of woman who would sell her body for money.

But Wang Bo soon thought of Selina's youthful experiences and felt that he might have overestimated this female thief.

Because in many versions, Catwoman once had a very sordid past.

Wang Bo remembered that in one version, Catwoman was a prostitute, and her boyfriend was a pimp.

But Catwoman wanted to break free from her ex-boyfriend, because she had witnessed his criminal activities, and because of something that happened to her sister, a nun, she worried about her sister's life and began learning self-defense and martial arts.

When the story developed to the point where Selina was forced into theft, she put on a tight-fitting bodysuit.

This outfit was given to her by her ex-boyfriend, back when Selina told him she would no longer work as a prostitute. Once she was dressed up and went unrecognized, she took a liking to theft and began a Robin Hood–style career of stealing.
