Chapter 8: The Clone

Kato Masaru noticed this and looked at Wang Bo with terror. "Th-this... you did this."

Kei Kurono broke out in a cold sweat.

Wang Bo snorted, "Get lost!"

Although Kei Kurono was the protagonist of the story, pointing a gun at his own head made it hard for Wang Bo to feel any goodwill toward him. Their relationship instantly shifted from strangers to disgust.

Only Wang Bo and Kishimoto Megumi remained in the room.

Kishimoto Megumi looked at the pile of pistol fragments on the floor and couldn't help saying, "Amazing. How did you do that?"

Wang Bo had some fondness for this girl who had been willing to speak up for him at a critical moment, but in truth, even he didn't know how he had done it. He could only say vaguely, "I'm a bit stronger than ordinary people."

"I see." Kishimoto Megumi nodded and didn't press further. "Then let's go."

Wang Bo shook his head. "I'm not leaving. I plan to rest here for the night."

Kishimoto Megumi said awkwardly, "Then could you walk me home? It's so late, and if I run into a thug on my way back alone, that would be terrible."

Wang Bo wanted to say that she was wearing the reinforced suit—even if she met a thug, it wouldn't be her who ended up unlucky.

"Alright, I'll walk you back."

Having made the decision, the two left the black sphere room and headed toward Kishimoto Megumi's home.

Half an hour later, Kishimoto Megumi suddenly said, "My home is here."

Wang Bo looked up and saw rows of houses. One of them had the name "Kishimoto" written outside—that must be her home. "Go on in. Get some rest early." Wang Bo gave her a gentle push.

Kishimoto Megumi nodded, took a few steps forward, then suddenly turned and bowed to Wang Bo.

Only then did she run into her house.

Wang Bo retraced his steps.

But to his surprise, just as he reached the apartment building where the black sphere room was located and was about to go upstairs, he heard Kishimoto Megumi's voice from behind.

"Wait, wait for me."

Wang Bo turned around and saw Kishimoto Megumi running over in her reinforced suit, her chest lights shaking violently.

"Why are you back?" Wang Bo asked curiously.
