Chapter 1787 A Man at Thirty Isn't Easy
Rebirth of a Perfect Future · 第1787章 男人三十不容易
How does it feel to enjoy the sea breeze with your wife?
Zhao Fusheng would tell you that at first, it's wonderful and delightful.
But as time goes on, after the romantic feeling fades, he finds himself seasick...
This is a sad story.

Watching Zhao Fusheng lying there vomiting uncontrollably, Fan Baobao was full of concern, while Wu Sijie and the others exchanged smiles, feeling that their boss seemed more human like this.
Exactly!
Before this, in the eyes of those around him, Zhao Fusheng seemed like a deity.
Never-failing investments, a rags-to-riches entrepreneurial journey.
It must be said, Zhao Fusheng's experience seemed like a legend to others.
The more legendary he was, the more he seemed not quite human to others, completely lacking the feel of a normal person.
And now, he too could get seasick, which made several subordinates couldn't help but smile knowingly.
Finally reaching the other side, Zhao Fusheng leaned back in a chair in the lounge, his face somewhat pale.
"Let's take the subway back."
Zhao Fusheng said to Fan Baobao.
"Okay, okay, whatever you say."
Fan Baobao said to Zhao Fusheng as if coaxing a child.
Today, Zhao Fusheng had given her plenty of face, accompanying her on a day out, so she was naturally very happy. Seeing that Zhao Fusheng had become like this, she no longer made any other demands.
After Zhao Fusheng rested, the group took the subway back to Hong Kong Island.
Getting into the car and returning to the hotel to rest, Zhao Fusheng lay on the bed, chatting on the phone with Fan Beibei.
Yes, the little girl was very angry that her sister and Zhao Fusheng had gone out to play without taking her, which made her quite upset.
Helpless, Zhao Fusheng had to comfort her on the phone for half an hour, making a bunch of promises, before finally calming Fan Beibei down.
"You're too indulgent with her."
When he hung up the phone, Fan Baobao had already finished her shower and said to Zhao Fusheng.
Zhao Fusheng smiled: "How old is she? Let her be spoiled. Besides, with me around, she won't suffer in the future. What's wrong with a little pampering?"
Fan Baobao was speechless. Thinking about it carefully, Zhao Fusheng's words really made sense.
With him around, Fan Beibei would certainly never have to worry about food or clothing in her life. Even if she ended up with a poor boy, it wouldn't matter, because Zhao Fusheng could solve all material problems.
Moreover, the Future Group wouldn't need her to marry for alliance or anything.
In short, Fan Beibei just needed to grow up happily.
"Fine, you win."
Fan Baobao found she couldn't argue with Zhao Fusheng, shook her head helplessly, and lay down on her own.
"What are you up to?"
As if sensing Zhao Fusheng's gaze, Fan Baobao glanced at him and smiled seductively.
Although she had given birth to a daughter, her figure remained well-maintained. Seeing her husband's infatuated look, she felt even better.
Women are like that: on one hand, they don't like their man being too flirtatious, but on the other hand, they wish he would be infatuated only with them. This is probably similar to how men want a beautiful wife but also hope she is virtuous.
Able to shine in the living room and excel in the kitchen—that is the highest requirement men have for women.
Hearing Fan Baobao's words, Zhao Fusheng grinned, stood up, and walked toward her...
Spring scenery is boundless...
...
...
When he got up the next morning, Zhao Fusheng felt like his waist was about to break.
They say a man at forty isn't easy, soaking goji berries in a thermos. He didn't seem that bad yet.
"I must have been too tired yesterday."
Zhao Fusheng muttered to himself, but inwardly resolved to exercise every day once he got back.
"Honey, what's wrong?"
Fan Baobao's voice rang out, tinged with a hint of coquettishness.
Seeing her energetic appearance, Zhao Fusheng finally understood why some people say men have it tough.
"Ahem, you lie down first. I'll go make a call."
Without another word, Zhao Fusheng got up and left the room.
Watching his back, Fan Baobao giggled.
"Chairman, what's wrong?"
When Wu Sijie saw Zhao Fusheng, he noticed he was walking a bit unsteadily and asked in confusion.
“It’s nothing, it’s nothing.”
Zhao Fusheng waved his hand. “So, did you investigate Cathay’s situation?”
“I did.”
Wu Sijie nodded, took out a stack of documents, and said to Zhao Fusheng, “According to our investigation, Cathay’s current stock price is relatively stable. This is because after the financial crisis, Swire…”
“You don’t need to tell me this.”
Zhao Fusheng waved his hand. “Give the materials to Chairman Tan. He’s the expert in this area. We’ll just provide the funds. Ask him how much we need to invest, then call Miss Dong and tell her to prepare, understand?”
Although Dong Chenxi was on leave, matters involving hundreds of millions of US dollars definitely needed to be reported to her.
Wu Sijie nodded and left.
When Zhao Fusheng returned to the room, Fan Baobao had already finished washing up. She looked at her husband and smiled, “So, are you done talking with Wu Sijie?”
“Yeah.”
Zhao Fusheng nodded and said to Fan Baobao, “Where are you planning to go today?”
“How about we go check out TVB?”
Fan Baobao thought for a moment and said to Zhao Fusheng, “I’ve always watched TVB dramas and found them interesting. I want to see it. Do you want to come along?”
“Sure.”
Zhao Fusheng nodded. He had no objections anyway; he was originally accompanying Fan Baobao to relax.
……
……
TVB’s headquarters is called Television City. Since its founding, TVB’s headquarters has moved three times.
When the station launched in the 1960s, TVB’s headquarters was at 77 Broadcast Drive, Kowloon Tong, Kowloon, with additional studios at Diamond Hill’s Jinshan Film Studio for program production. At the end of 1987, a major fire at neighboring ATV destroyed most of its headquarters facilities, so TVB temporarily lent some office space for emergency operations until ATV moved back to its original site.
In 1988, TVB leased land from Television Enterprises and Shaw Brothers at Tai Po Tsai to build Clearwater Bay Television City, which included sixteen studios covering over 6,500 square meters, serving as TVB’s production and administrative headquarters.
At the end of 1991, a five-alarm fire at Television City caused minor injuries to one firefighter and destroyed the entire prop warehouse, which was later rebuilt on site.
As the lease expired, to replace the existing Clearwater Bay Television City facilities, TVB began planning a new headquarters in 1998. In April 1999, it was confirmed that TVB would move from Clearwater Bay Television City in the New Territories to the Tseung Kwan O Industrial Estate in the New Territories, and the groundbreaking ceremony was held on Women’s Day in 2000.
By August 2002, the first drama studio at Tseung Kwan O Television Broadcast City was operational, and it officially opened in October of that year.
The new Television City in Tseung Kwan O covers approximately 110,000 square meters, about 30% larger than Clearwater Bay, and its broadcasting is fully digital. Television Broadcast City mainly consists of six production and administration buildings: an 11-story broadcast building, a variety show studio building, a drama studio building, a news and parking building, a workshop building, and a joint building.
In addition, Television Broadcast City has a satellite ground station and an outdoor filming site covering about 12,500 square meters, primarily for ancient and early Republican-era streets.
It’s no exaggeration to say that most of the classic films and TV dramas in the memories of the post-70s and post-80s generations are connected to this place. Top Hong Kong stars like Lau Tin-wong and Leung Ying-tsai also came from TVB.
“Is this TVB headquarters?”
Outside the TVB gate, Fan Baobao stood there with a look of delight.
Clearly, she was very happy.
Zhao Fusheng nodded. “Yeah, want to go in and take a look?”
“Can we?”
Fan Baobao looked at Zhao Fusheng with some surprise.
“Let me make a call.”
Zhao Fusheng thought about it. He didn’t really know many people in Hong Kong, and those he did know were mostly famous actors and stars. He didn’t know many producers either.
But fortunately, there was Ye Jing.
Zhao Fusheng thought for a moment and dialed Ye Jing’s number.
“What’s up?”
Ye Jing was a bit surprised to receive Zhao Fusheng’s call, wondering why he was suddenly calling. Wasn’t he in Hong Kong accompanying his wife on a trip?
“Do you know anyone at TVB?”
Zhao Fusheng asked.
“TVB?”
Ye Jing was a bit taken aback, then shook his head. “Not really. We don’t have many projects with TVB.”
“……”
Zhao Fusheng almost blurted out a curse word as he held the phone.
He had confidently boasted in front of Fan Baobao, only to find out he was bluffing. How embarrassing.
After thinking, Zhao Fusheng said, “Forget it, I’ll find someone else.”
“Wait a minute. It seems Louis Koo is a TVB alumnus, right?”
Ye Jing suddenly thought of something and said to Zhao Fusheng, “Don’t you have his number?”
Huh?
Zhao Fusheng was startled and then remembered that among the people he knew, quite a few were from TVB—excluding Lau Tin-wong, who didn’t have a good relationship with TVB.
Louis Koo actually had a very good relationship with TVB’s top management.
“I see.”
Zhao Fusheng nodded, hung up the phone, and smiled at Fan Baobao. “How about I introduce someone to you?”
“Who?”
Fan Baobao looked puzzled, not understanding what Zhao Fusheng meant.
What was he up to?
