Chapter 0394: A Little Awkward

Rebirth of a Perfect Future · 第0394章 小尴尬

"Well, President Zheng, can I meet Mr. Lu?" the vice president hesitated for a moment, then asked Zheng Yao.

Zheng Yao was taken aback, and even Dong Chenxi was startled.

Mr. Lu?

Then they understood—the vice president thought Zhao Fusheng's English name was his surname. But they exchanged a glance and decided not to correct him.

Since Zhao Fusheng wanted to maintain his mystery, this was perfect.

Shaking her head gently, Zheng Yao said, "Sorry, he doesn't want to see outsiders. To be honest, since the company moved from Ninghai to Binzhou, he hasn't visited once."

The implication was that Zhao Fusheng wished to remain mysterious.

"Heh, that's normal. Talented people have their quirks." The vice president wasn't offended; he was delighted with the note, clearly aware of its significance.

With this slogan, sales of all sports brands under Linhai could increase by at least twenty percent.

Don't underestimate that twenty percent—it meant at least several hundred million in profit.

Watching the elated vice president leave, Zheng Yao smiled and said to Dong Chenxi, "Bring in the person from Metersbonwe. They should be here by now."

After receiving the proposal Dong Chenxi brought back from Ninghai, she had scheduled meetings with Metersbonwe and Linhai Group. As Zhao Fusheng said, time is money. Since they were waving checks asking them to take the money, there was no reason to refuse.

Initially, when she saw the proposal Dong Chenxi had made, Zheng Yao was baffled, almost thinking Zhao Fusheng had lost his mind. But after reading the two slogans he wrote, her worries dissipated.

"President Zheng, this is President Lin from Metersbonwe." Dong Chenxi soon led in a woman around forty, who looked sharp and capable.

Zheng Yao didn't waste words. Pointing to the chair opposite her, she smiled and said, "Please have a seat, President Lin."

Half an hour later, President Lin went through the same transformation as the Linhai vice president and left Future Advertising with a satisfied expression.

Watching her retreating figure, Dong Chenxi was stunned. "That's it?"

Zheng Yao smiled. "What, surprised?"

Dong Chenxi nodded. This was beyond her understanding. In her mind, if she were a representative from Linhai or Metersbonwe, she would have walked out after seeing that proposal.

To be honest, Dong Chenxi knew her proposal was mediocre.

But to be swayed by just one slogan was too exaggerated, as if it had been rehearsed.

Zheng Yao chuckled. "Think about it from another angle. Haven't all his past proposals seemed unconventional and original?"

Dong Chenxi frowned, then nodded. Zheng Yao was right—all of Zhao Fusheng's ad designs seemed original to others.

"That guy is a brand now," Zheng Yao said slowly.

Dong Chenxi agreed wholeheartedly. For a top advertising agency, the biggest advantage wasn't its scale—that could be bought with money. The key was having a planner who could carry the show.

"By the way, transfer the money to him later. I wonder what he's up to, needing so much cash," Zheng Yao said, as if remembering something, instructing Dong Chenxi.

Dong Chenxi nodded and shook her head. "I don't know. He didn't mention it when I went back."

That was true. Zhao Fusheng hadn't brought up what he planned to do with all that money.

Zhao Fusheng did have a use for it. After receiving Dong Chenxi's call, he went to the bank to confirm the amount, then called Yu Feihong.

"Sister Fei, send me your bank card number," Zhao Fusheng said.

Yu Feihong was startled. "What do you need the card number for?"

Zhao Fusheng laughed. "To transfer money to you, of course."

Hearing this, Yu Feihong was taken aback. "Where did you get the money?"

If she remembered correctly, Zhao Fusheng had said he only had a few tens of thousands left. How could he come up with over a million in such a short time? Yu Feihong had planned to use her own savings to cover the subsidies for the elderly.

Zhao Fusheng smiled without speaking, then finally said, "I earned it with my skills. Don't worry about it. I'll transfer the money to you. Start recruiting—make sure to find volunteers who are passionate about charity."

Then he casually asked, "How's the registration going?"

Yu Feihong nodded. "Almost done. We should get the approval by the end of the month. I'll send you the first list of foundation members later. Take a look."

"How many people?" Zhao Fusheng asked.

"Six, all friends of mine," Yu Feihong said.

"Reliable?" Zhao Fusheng asked casually, then laughed. "Should be fine, since they're your friends."

Recently, they had been communicating via OICQ. Zhao Fusheng didn't mention he was a shareholder of the company, just told Yu Feihong that this saved on courier fees and allowed them to communicate directly via voice or text.

Yu Feihong was satisfied with this method. Compared to phone calls, where things couldn't be explained in a few sentences, text communication was faster and more convenient.

Back in the dorm, Zhao Fusheng went online. Soon, Yu Feihong logged in too. She could afford a computer, though she hadn't used chat software like OICQ much before. Under Zhao Fusheng's guidance, she had learned.

Zhao Fusheng even considered suggesting Yu Feihong create a group and invite all foundation members.

But after thinking it over, he decided against it. For those big stars, chatting might be a bit boring.

"Here's the list." Along with Yu Feihong's message came a document. Looking at the names, Zhao Fusheng frowned.

The reason was simple: he didn't recognize any of the six people.

This was a bit awkward.

Staring at the computer screen for a long time, Zhao Fusheng scratched his head, suddenly unsure what to do.

He had always felt everything was under control, but now, looking at this completely unfamiliar list and information, he realized there were many things in the world he still didn't understand.

For instance, regarding these people Yu Feihong had given him, Zhao Fusheng was certain he knew nothing about them.

What should he do?
