Chapter 0459: A Song, A Person

Rebirth of a Perfect Future · 第0459章 一首歌,一个人

Because they were in a taxi, Yu Feihong and Jiang Wen didn't say anything, only winking at Zhao Fusheng. Zhao Fusheng understood their meaning, changed the subject, and didn't continue the conversation.

After a while, the taxi stopped outside the bar street in Sanlitun.

Getting out of the car, Zhao Fusheng glanced at this place he was visiting for the second time in his life, smiled, and said to Jiang Wen, “Old Jiang, Fei and I will follow you today.”

Yu Feihong chuckled, her gaze sweeping over Jiang Wen, and nodded: “Yes, Fusheng and I will follow you today. Wherever you take us, we'll go.”

Jiang Wen laughed awkwardly, waving his hand: “Don't stand on ceremony. Come, follow me.”

As he spoke, with the air of an old horse that knows the way, he led Zhao Fusheng and Yu Feihong inside.

Because of their status, both he and Yu Feihong wore sunglasses. Plus it was late at night, and most people on the street were heading to bars for fun, so no one noticed who they were.

Otherwise, if word got out that Jiang Wen and Yu Feihong were at a bar together, it would definitely draw a crowd, since they were both first-tier stars now.

Arriving at the entrance of a bar, Jiang Wen took off his sunglasses, said a few words in a low voice to the security guard, and then they were let in.

As they walked, Zhao Fusheng whispered to Yu Feihong, "They have security here?"

He was genuinely surprised, because at this time, weren't bars supposed to be places where anyone could just walk in?

Unless it was like abroad, where a group of security guards stood at the door to keep out minors.

That such a place existed in China—Zhao Fusheng hadn't known that in his previous life.

Yu Feihong chuckled softly. "It's my first time here too. I've only heard them talk about it before."

"Then what do you do when you're not filming?" Zhao Fusheng asked curiously. He was genuinely curious—what did a future goddess like Yu Feihong do in her spare time?

Yu Feihong gave an awkward smile and said quietly, "I read at home, and then..."

She hesitated and fell silent.

Zhao Fusheng laughed. "Shopping, working out, something like that, right?"

"No..." Yu Feihong said softly.

"Huh? Then what do you do?"

"Sleep..."

"..."

An awkward silence fell between them. Zhao Fusheng had never imagined that Yu Feihong had such a hobby.

From a certain perspective, she was a complete homebody. When not filming, she stayed home and went nowhere, unless it was a social engagement she absolutely couldn't turn down. Otherwise, Yu Feihong simply couldn't be bothered to move.

Zhao Fusheng felt that the goddess image in his mind had crumbled in an instant, but somehow, he found this Yu Feihong more real.

As the two chatted in the back, Jiang Wen had already strode into the bar.

In most people's minds, bars are very noisy places. In reality, that's only one type of bar.

Bar culture, originating abroad, is roughly divided into loud bars and quiet bars. The former are mostly called dance halls in China, while the latter are often not that rowdy.

A few close friends sat together, listening to the singer performing on stage, chatting and sharing their hearts, enjoying a leisurely time—this was true rest.

"Usually, it's just people from the circle who come here." Jiang Wen found a place to sit, waved to a few acquaintances as a greeting, then said to Zhao Fusheng.

Zhao Fusheng nodded: "Nice environment. It's clear they've put some effort into it."

He had studied advertising design, and although he wasn't very knowledgeable about interior decoration, having lived through the internet age, he had seen plenty of such things even if he didn't understand them deeply.

It was obvious that the owner of this bar had seriously put effort into research.

Yu Feihong, on the other hand, was very calm. She signaled a waiter to order a cocktail, then asked Zhao Fusheng, "What will you have?"

"Juice, thanks," Zhao Fusheng said.

"I'll have brandy," Jiang Wen said bluntly.

The waiter nodded politely and left, without the excitement of recognizing Jiang Wen and Yu Feihong.

Perhaps it was because celebrities frequented this bar.

"So, isn't this place great?" Jiang Wen said to Zhao Fusheng.

Zhao Fusheng smiled: "Not bad, but what's up with that stage?"

As he spoke, he pointed to the stage not far away, where a band was set up but no singer.

"Oh, the owner prepared it. Usually, all kinds of people come here. When musicians show up and feel inspired, they go up and sing a few songs," Jiang Wen explained with a smile. "Zhou Wei has sung here, Cui Kang has sung here. Um, I heard recently that a new band's lead singer performed here for a whole week."

"A whole week?" Zhao Fusheng blinked in surprise, then laughed. He was actually looking forward to seeing those殿堂级 (top-tier) singers perform.

He had checked the information; Zhou Wei and Cui Kang, whom Jiang Wen mentioned, were veterans of the rock scene. Although he hadn't heard their works in his previous life, they were indeed fine pieces—both in terms of vocal skill and style, they stood out.

If he had the chance to hear them perform live, it would be well worth the trip.

At that moment, a young girl walked up. She looked about twenty, not bad-looking, quite delicate. Zhao Fusheng didn't recognize her, so he turned to Jiang Wen: "Old Jiang, who's that?"

Glancing at the girl, Jiang Wen shook his head: "Don't know her. Seems like Zhang Li brought her."

Then he looked at Yu Feihong: "Do you know her?"

Yu Feihong also shook her head: "No."

Both of them were now top-tier stars; ordinary third- or fourth-tier actors hardly caught their attention.

Zhao Fusheng shook his head helplessly. This was the downside of having such high-end friends.

"Hello everyone, I'll sing a song for you."

The girl stood there, signaled something to the accompanying band, and after mentioning a song title, the band nodded.

A moment later, the accompaniment began.

"I still like you, like the wind that has traveled eight hundred miles, never asking when it will return..." The girl's first line of lyrics made Zhao Fusheng freeze.

He was one hundred percent sure he had never heard this song before, but for some reason, Zhao Fusheng felt it was very pleasant to his ears.

Perhaps we all have moments like this—hearing a song suddenly reminds us of someone, of a past memory.

Memory always appears unexpectedly beside us, leaving us in tears.
