Chapter 5 Arcane Shot

肉装法爷会挂机 · 第五章 奥术射击

Arcane Shot is a relatively ancient "composite spell."

It consists of three parts.

First: constructing the shooting subject.

Second: constructing the energy bullet.

Third: aiming and shooting to kill the enemy.

Simply put, Arcane Shot is a "spell firearm."

But with the changing times and the popularization of supernatural firearms, composite spells like "Arcane Shot" gradually became obsolete.

Others, with their supernatural pistols, could pre-make energy bullets and fire at will, whether at long range or close range, shooting rapidly.

But the composite "Arcane Shot" spell required

first constructing the shooting subject, then constructing the energy bullet, and finally aiming and shooting.

By the time you finished forming the shooting subject, others had probably already fired their first round and were reloading for the second.

If you weren't eliminated, who would be?

Originally, Gune had no intention of reviving ancient spells.

But today, seeing these hunter pistols and combining them with some of his own special aspects,

some ideas about long-range attacks naturally emerged in Gune's mind, and they were worth trying. If successful, Gune would have a means of ultra-long-range attack.

Whether at sea or in the future when sniping enemies from afar, it would play a huge role.

Arcane Shot had no advantage over supernatural firearms.

But if its attack form and method were changed, it would be completely different.

First, the shooting range.

The shooting range of supernatural firearms was generally around four to five hundred meters.

But Arcane Shot could extend its range by adjusting the spell syllables.

For example, an effective range of one thousand meters, or even two thousand meters.

When the range was long enough, a problem arose: accuracy.

No matter how far the range, if you couldn't hit the enemy, the effect was zero.

But Gune, having deeply comprehended the world's mysteries during this time, had already gained a certain degree of control over the world's framework mysteries.

Gune's current control over the precise landing point of spells was terrifyingly good.

Accuracy was no problem for Gune at all.

As for seeing the enemy at long range, an "Eagle Eye" spell could perfectly solve that.

Thus, only one problem remained.

That was the issue of "bullet power."

Hitting an enemy at ultra-long range but dealing only minor damage, unable to kill in one shot, seemed useless.

In fact, the power of hunter bullets themselves was not great.

It was mainly the unique hunter talents that allowed them to specially empower bullets when making them, giving them the ability to deal massive damage to dark creatures.

But if hunters used supernatural pistols to shoot at spellcasters and other supernatural beings,

they might not even break the shield of a same-rank spellcaster after a full round of bullets.

And the power of Arcane Shot's bullets was not strong either.

Gune's method to solve the bullet power problem was the Death Beast's innate divine ability.

During this time, as the Death Beast finished digesting,

Gune gradually began to feel the fluctuations of dark mysteries.

Yes, besides sensing the fluctuations of world mysteries, the second type of mystery fluctuations Gune sensed was those of dark mysteries.

Thus, Gune also began to comprehend dark mysteries.

At this point, something surprising happened to Gune.

That was the emergence of a peculiar dark energy within Gune's body.

After some experimentation, Gune confirmed that this peculiar dark energy was the energy of the destructive "Black Annihilation Arrow" that erupted when the Death Beast used its innate divine ability.

Gune still vividly remembered the terror of the Black Annihilation Arrow.

Ordinary source power as the bullet for Arcane Shot would certainly lack killing power.

But the Black Annihilation Arrow as the bullet for Arcane Shot was completely without issue.

Of course, whether all this was feasible could only be known once the composite spell Arcane Shot was obtained.

So Gune asked Old Oak about Arcane Shot.

"Arcane Shot?" Old Oak pondered briefly and said softly.

"I do know some information about Arcane Shot, but not much. When we get to Harutov Harbor, I can help you inquire; maybe there will be some relevant news."

"Hmm?" Gune's heart stirred slightly, and surprise appeared on his face.

"Senior, are you also heading to Harutov Harbor?"

"With so many undead appearing at sea, shouldn't we go?" Old Oak laughed.

Gune suddenly laughed in understanding.

"That's true. For you, the sea now is indeed a good place."

"There are so many undead creatures there waiting for you to hunt. As a hunter, killing large numbers of these dark creatures will bring a very good improvement."

"I think, besides you, many hunters have already rushed there, right?"

"Of course." Old Oak smiled.

"When we get to Harutov Harbor, I'll trouble you with the matter of Arcane Shot, senior." Gune said.

"It's just a small matter." Old Oak smiled and waved his hand.

After some conversation, the two sides grew closer.

Looking outside at the still undulating hills, Gune turned to Diana and Hodge and said,

"Nothing to do on the road, how about playing Moonlight Night? I have a full set of limited edition collector cards here."

"I want to play, I want to play, I want to be the Little Carpenter." Hodge's playful nature made him the first to raise his hand.

"I want to be the Magician." Diana also showed interest.

"Looks like I'm destined to be the big boss." Gune laughed.

An hour later.

Gune's expression turned somewhat gloomy.

He had drawn the most powerful boss among the three bosses "Wolf King," "Mysterious Man," and "Wolf Grandma"—the Wolf King—but in the second round of the boss battle, Gune was taken out by a concentrated attack from the opponent.

His powerful boss cards all died in his hand, never having a chance to be played.

"My card skills are a bit poor! No... I have to win back." Gune thought to himself.

On the road, Gune began his journey of boss training.

...

The next day, in the afternoon.

The group of four arrived at Belan City.

Since there was no train that night and everyone was a bit tired from two days and one night on the train, they stayed overnight in Belan City.

And Gune did not stint on his generous family wealth as a noble youth from "selling off family assets."

He treated Old Oak and the others to an exceptionally sumptuous dinner.

The next morning, the four of them boarded the direct train to Harutov Harbor.

After a journey of three days and two nights,

Gune finally arrived at the first destination of this trip, Harutov Harbor.
