Chapter 12 My Name Is "Andrew"

肉装法爷会挂机 · 第十二章 我叫“安德鲁”

At the bottom of the immensely deep Blood Dream Deep Sea.

Gunie's gaze pierced through the thick, viscous Blood Dream seawater, seeing the colossal creature coiled in the deep-sea palace.

Its body was enormous, a hundred meters in size.

Its head alone was over thirty meters in diameter, with eight terrifying blood-colored pupils filled with death and wailing.

Behind it were a pair of dark gold blood-red wings, as if woven from flesh and blood.

Its lower half consisted of a dense cluster of over a dozen thick, indescribable octopus tentacles.

The entire bloated body coiled there like a vast mountain, impossible to gaze upon fully.

As he looked at the creature,

Gunie felt his Blood Dream body suffering erosion damage.

At the same time, his demonic secondary soul was also continuously suffering irreversible soul damage.

Even Gunie's main body was affected, though it suffered less damage than the demonic secondary soul and the Blood Dream body.

"Fortunately, I've devoured enough Dominator flesh and undergone multiple reincarnations using the powerful creatures of that corrupted land. My own toughness and survivability are high enough to withstand the damage from the gaze of a Dominator creature."

"Otherwise, one glance would scatter my soul and destroy my body."

"Greetings, great Lord Cthulhu."

Gunie did not know the creature's name or title, so he could only speak thus.

"You may call me Andrew."

The massive octopus creature spoke softly.

Its voice rumbled, each syllable like a thunderclap ringing in Gunie's ears.

The voice was not in any language Gunie had ever heard, merely random sounds.

Yet it clearly conveyed the meaning of the name "Andrew."

For the great [Old One Blood-Octopus God] Andrew·Sian·Mei'ao Meilin, if any other creature had arrived, Andrew could have killed it with a single glance.

But this somewhat special transcendent had a slight connection to the flesh from which he was born, as it bore the scent of that flesh.

Thus, Andrew chose to communicate with him.

Ordinary creatures, even gods, were not worthy to stand before the great [Old One Blood-Octopus God] Andrew·Sian·Mei'ao Meilin.

This was not a matter of strength, but of life form.

"I am Gunie·Lawrence. You may call me Gunie."

"Lord Andrew." Gunie spoke softly.

"You must have taken the blood crystals from my Blood Dream Arena, didn't you?"

"Oh?" Andrew gently waved his octopus tentacles.

The power contained within them was world-destroying.

Even a glance at the terrifying power in those tentacles made Gunie feel the approach of death.

The gap between them was too vast; Gunie felt nothing but the danger of death.

"Are you blaming me?" Andrew's voice rumbled.

"Originally, yes, but not anymore," Gunie thought to himself.

"Clearly not," Gunie replied softly.

"I was just curious—does a great existence like you need the blood of ordinary transcendents like us?"

"The taste of candy is one of my few hobbies," Andrew responded softly.

Gunie suddenly understood.

So Cthulhu Dominators also had their own hobbies and interests; they simply didn't bother communicating with weak transcendents.

Just like humans—would they share their hobbies with an ant on the roadside?

Clearly not; if seen by others, they would be considered mad.

The same was true for creatures at the level of Cthulhu Dominators.

Differences in life form and essence meant they paid no attention to the will of transcendents.

All they did was act according to their own will in this world.

Sensing a transcendent world brimming with rich source energy,

they liked it, so they descended.

After all, throughout the endless transcendent eras,

they were the masters of the starry world, always had been.

They didn't even need to actively rule over everything.

Since time immemorial, the entire cosmic starry sky had lain prostrate at their feet, changing according to their will.

As for the weak creatures born in those transcendent worlds,

those who disliked such weaklings would kill all creatures that might disturb them in that world, then rest and sleep there.

The kinder ones would find a place to rest, ignoring the weak lives that might vanish after a single nap, as long as they didn't come to disturb them.

Now, this Dominator named Andrew was communicating with him without showing any impatience or boredom, and Gunie guessed the reason.

"He might see me as one of their kind—though a very weak part, to some extent I already share traits with them."

"That's why he talks to me; otherwise, when I descended, death would have awaited me, not being told his name."

After a moment's thought, Gunie spoke with a smile.

"I came to ask you, do you like the blood crystal candies of the Transcendent Master level?"

Andrew gently waved his tentacles.

"That taste is better than ordinary candy," Andrew replied.

"And what about the blood crystal candies of Divine Envoys, Ancestral Spirits, Saint Ranks, and even stronger Demigods and Gods?"

"Hmm!" Andrew seemed to squint slightly, reminiscing.

"It's been a very long time since any god entered the Blood Dream world around here, and I haven't obtained their blood crystals."

"If you hadn't mentioned it, I'd almost forgotten the taste of those delightful candies."

"But unfortunately, I'm in a semi-dormant state and cannot move."

Then Andrew looked at Gunie.

"My kin, would you be willing to bring me those delicious candies?"

"I would be delighted to serve you," Gunie said softly.

"After all, to some extent, we do share a slight connection."

"Yes," Andrew nodded slightly.

"And that is the only reason I am speaking with you."

"At the Blood Dream Arena I built, you can surely see that many transcendents enter."

Gunie spoke softly.

"As my strength grows, stronger transcendents will enter—for instance, Transcendent Masters and Divine Envoys. They will actively drop large amounts of blood crystals. I think that is what you most want to see, right?"

"That sounds quite good," Andrew nodded slightly.

After careful thought, Gunie steadied his mind and spoke.

"To be honest, my birth is related to the Dominator's flesh, and my growth in strength is also closely tied to that flesh."

"As you know, I am very weak now. I need more Dominator flesh to strengthen my body and power. In the transcendent world where I am, can you guide me to find the locations of that Dominator flesh?"

"Your birth is also related to that flesh?" Andrew seemed to find a resonance deep in his soul.

"I wondered why your life flickers like a spark—it's because of that flesh sliding toward the abyss of death."

"Born from death, yet inevitably sliding toward death."

Andrew sighed softly.

This was so similar to his own experience.

Only his lifespan was very, very long.

While this weak little one before him, who only possessed a trace of Dominator aura and couldn't even be considered a "Dominator embryo," had a very short lifespan.

"If you had that Dominator flesh, could you grow up? Become a god, or even a more powerful existence?" Andrew asked.

"Yes," Gunie nodded lightly.

"Very well!" Andrew laughed.

Though even becoming a god meant a still short lifespan,

if he surpassed godhood and became an existence of a higher level,

then his lifespan would be somewhat considerable—at least long enough to last through Andrew's long slumber.

This fellow wouldn't vanish due to the passage of time.
