Chapter 018 Woman
获得主角能力的我只想过平凡生活 · 第018章 女人
Wang Bo saw it clearly—this ship was definitely the Black Pearl.
Because there wasn't a single living person on this pirate ship; they were all a group of undead, undead wearing human skin.
In this world, only two ships across the entire sea carried the undead.
One was the Black Pearl, cursed to become living dead.
The other was the Flying Dutchman.
And since the Flying Dutchman sailed underwater year-round, its hull was long eroded by all kinds of seaweed, and most of its crew had turned into seafood.
So Wang Bo recognized the ship as the Black Pearl at a glance.
They had come to attack Port Royal, probably for the last Aztec gold coin.
That meant Elizabeth had been exposed? How had she managed that? Could it be that this woman had gone swimming in the sea with the Aztec gold coin?
As Wang Bo pondered, the Black Pearl's cannon fire continued unabated.
The rumbling sound was incessant; the docks of Port Royal were nearly smashed to pieces by the Black Pearl's cannonballs.
Many cannonballs even crossed over the docks and landed inside Port Royal.
The soldiers and pirates patrolling the port were thrown into confusion by the sudden bombardment, fleeing in panic, while a few unlucky ones, caught off guard, were sent to heaven by the cannonballs.
By now, Port Royal was in complete chaos.
They couldn't even mount a decent counterattack.
Before long, the Black Pearl approached the harbor, and the pirates on board swarmed down like unleashed wild dogs, sweeping through Port Royal.
Pirates were basically a bunch of inhuman scum, especially these undead who had gained immortality.
They were utterly fearless.
They carried knives and guns, ready to loot the entire Port Royal.
Barbossa stood at the harbor and shouted loudly, "Hurry up, find the last coin, and let's begin our final狂欢."
But just then, a woman's voice rang out.
"No, you can't do this!"
Barbossa turned to look; a woman in a tattered dress stepped down from the ship. "Our goal is the gold, Barbossa, the gold."
"I know," Barbossa nodded nonchalantly.
"So we should get the gold and leave here immediately."
"We'll leave when we get the gold," Barbossa said dismissively.
Wang Bo watched this scene with some curiosity.
If he remembered correctly, there were no women on the Black Pearl.
After all, in this era, many pirates believed that women on board brought bad luck, so women on pirate ships were extremely rare.
So when Wang Bo suddenly saw a woman on the Black Pearl who hadn't appeared in the original story, he became quite intrigued.
Who was this woman, and why was she on the Black Pearl?
And Barbossa's attitude toward her was also somewhat strange.
Wang Bo raised an eyebrow, snapped his fingers, and the woman standing before Barbossa was instantly teleported into the tavern.
After she came to her senses, the woman looked at Wang Bo with surprise and vigilance.
"Who are you, and where is this place?" she asked while reaching her right hand behind her back.
Wang Bo had already noticed a flintlock pistol at her waist.
"Calm down, madam," Wang Bo said calmly. "I mean you no harm; I'm just very curious."
"Curious?"
"Yes, I'm curious who you are and why you're on the Black Pearl. As far as I know, there should be no female crew on the Black Pearl."
"How do you know there are no women on the Black Pearl?"
"Because I know Jack Sparrow."
"Jack Sparrow?" The woman was confused, but soon remembered. "You mean that poor bastard exiled by Barbossa."
"It seems you don't know Jack Sparrow," Wang Bo said, narrowing his eyes.
"No, when I boarded the ship, that poor bastard had already been exiled by Barbossa. I heard the name from other crew members," she said, her right hand already touching the grip of the pistol.
This slightly eased her anxious mood, as if the pistol gave her some confidence.
Wang Bo ignored this small gesture and continued, "So, can you tell me who you are and why you boarded the Black Pearl?"
The woman was silent for a moment, then said, "I can answer some of your questions, but you have to answer some of mine too."
"Fine, that's fair," Wang Bo didn't refuse. "As a sign of good faith, you can ask first."
The woman asked, "What is your relationship with Jack Sparrow?"
"I'm his boss. After being exiled by Barbossa, he escaped not long ago and came to Port Royal to see me, so I hired him with a ship."
Wang Bo asked, "Now it's your turn to answer my question. Who are you? What's your name?"
The woman hesitated, then said, "My name is Snow White."
"Snow White?" Wang Bo was dumbfounded, unable to help saying, "Snow White the princess?"
The woman was shocked. "How do you know I'm a princess?"
"So you really are Snow White."
Ever since Wang Bo saw an unfamiliar woman on the Black Pearl, he had suspected she might be a time traveler too.
Sure enough, he had guessed right.
But Wang Bo never expected the time traveler to be Snow White.
How did a princess from a fairy tale end up on a pirate ship?
Snow White stepped forward anxiously and asked, "Who are you? How do you know my name? Do you know me? Are you also from my world?"
Wang Bo said slowly, "Calm down. First, tell me how you got on the Black Pearl."
His voice seemed to carry a strange magic; Snow White's anxious mood was instantly soothed, and she felt more favorably toward Wang Bo. She said slowly, "Alright, I'll tell you."
Then Snow White recounted her experiences to Wang Bo in full detail.
The first half of the story wasn't much different from the fairy tale Wang Bo knew.
Snow White lost her mother at a young age; her father married a woman who turned out to be an old witch. She not only killed her father but also seized control of the kingdom.
Later, Snow White learned that her stepmother wanted to kill her, so she fled in a hurry.
But here's where it gets interesting.
After escaping from the palace, Snow White didn't stumble into the forest and meet the seven dwarfs who helped her.
Instead, she appeared on the Black Pearl. At the time, Snow White was completely bewildered, but she was soon discovered by Barbossa and his crew, who wanted to kill her.
