Chapter 005: Ronan

Drax the Destroyer was a rather reckless man.

In the comics, he was originally an American real estate agent. While driving through the Mojave Desert with his wife, they encountered Thanos's ship. To avoid exposure, Thanos attacked Arthur's car, and his wife was killed.

But Arthur's consciousness was accidentally transferred into an alien body, becoming Drax the Destroyer, and his past memories were sealed. His sole mission was to eliminate Thanos.

In this world, however, Drax the Destroyer was not an Earthling but a full-fledged alien, and his mortal enemy was not Thanos.

In fact, Thanos had no idea who this Destroyer was.

The one who had killed Drax the Destroyer's wife was Ronan the Accuser.

He harbored an immense hatred for Ronan, constantly thinking of revenge, wanting to pierce Ronan's throat with his weapon.

Unfortunately, he was no match for Ronan.

But he himself seemed unaware of this, mainly because he had a blind confidence in his own strength.

Wang Bo remembered that in the plot, when Star-Lord was trading with the Collector, this guy lured Ronan the Accuser to Knowhere, hoping to kill Ronan in a one-on-one duel to avenge his wife and daughter.

Then he got beaten up by Ronan.

Ronan the Accuser, though not as strong as Thanos, was still a super-villain with decent power. Defeating Drax the Destroyer was no big deal.

Then Drax the Destroyer was knocked back to his senses, realizing he couldn't kill Ronan alone, so he joined Star-Lord's team to eliminate Ronan together.

After noticing that Drax the Destroyer was not in the Collector's vault, Wang Bo immediately scanned Knowhere and saw Drax waiting with a murderous look.

Judging by his appearance, he seemed to have already sent out the information.

Soon, Ronan the Accuser would arrive at Knowhere.

Meanwhile, Rocket Raccoon and Star-Lord's group were still touring the Collector's vault, and the Collector was raising cash to buy the Infinity Stone.

Wang Bo thought for a moment and decided to give them a heads-up.

"Ronan is coming."

"What?" Star-Lord looked at Wang Bo in confusion.

Wang Bo said, "I mean, Ronan the Accuser will be here soon."

Ronan's name was well-known throughout the universe, as his madness was common knowledge.

Star-Lord's first reaction upon hearing Ronan was coming was, "Why would he come here?"

Wang Bo said, "One of you notified him."

Star-Lord immediately realized and cursed, "I knew it, that guy is unreliable. Has he lost his mind, summoning Ronan here?"

Gamora took a deep breath and immediately said, "We should leave here as soon as possible."

She was Thanos's daughter, so she knew about the deal between Thanos and Ronan.

To be honest, she didn't want the Infinity Stone to fall into Ronan's hands, because in her view, if the Infinity Stone fell into Ronan's hands, it would be no different from falling into Thanos's hands.

Unfortunately, she didn't know that Ronan had actually grown tired of Thanos.

If he got the Infinity Stone, he would never hand it over to Thanos but use it himself.

Rocket Raccoon disagreed, shouting, "We haven't gotten the money yet. We can't just leave." Wasn't he risking his life for this money?

Gamora said sternly, "If Ronan comes, none of us will survive."

Rocket Raccoon's momentum was immediately suppressed.

Star-Lord suggested they should all listen to Gamora, after all, Ronan was not an easy enemy to deal with.

The Collector, however, was not worried at all. He turned his gaze to Wang Bo and said, "Could you please handle this trouble?"

Wang Bo said, "Is this a deal?"

The Collector nodded, "Of course."

"Fine." Wang Bo nodded readily, "Leave Ronan to me."

The Collector said to Star-Lord's group, "Problem solved. We can continue the transaction."

Gamora looked at Wang Bo suspiciously, "Can you really handle Ronan the Accuser?"

She knew well how powerful Ronan was; if Ronan were just a small fry, he wouldn't be qualified to deal with her adoptive father Thanos.

"A piece of cake," Wang Bo said calmly. "I won't need a second move to kill him."

Ronan the Accuser's strength was decent, but for Wang Bo, it was nothing.

Mainly because Wang Bo's current strength was too great. Across the entire universe, those who could be Wang Bo's opponents were few and far between: the Ancient One counted as one, Thanos as one, Odin as one, and Dormammu as one.

As for Ronan?

Hah, who did he think he was?

Gamora didn't believe it, thinking Wang Bo was bragging.

But the Collector said, "No one has ever been able to touch the Infinity Stone and survive, not even Ronan. So we should trust him; he has the ability to deal with Ronan."

Star-Lord, recalling that the Infinity Stone could destroy a planet and that Wang Bo could touch it, couldn't help saying, "Maybe we should trust him."

Gamora said irritably, "You don't even know who he is, and you dare to trust him?"

"At least he looks strong, doesn't he?" said Star-Lord.

Gamora squinted, unsure whether to trust Wang Bo.

At that moment, Wang Bo looked up at the sky and couldn't help saying, "Ronan is here."

Gamora was startled. So soon?

The Collector said without looking up, "Leave it to you. For the next transaction, I'll give you a discount."

"Deal." Wang Bo voluntarily walked out of the Collector's vault and came outside Knowhere.

He saw that Drax the Destroyer had already confronted Ronan and was fighting, but the fight was a miserable sight—Drax was being beaten all the way.

In the comics, Drax the Destroyer wasn't this weak.

He possessed superhuman strength and endurance, could lift over 100 tons, had an almost indestructible body, could fly at sub-light speed, and could emit shockwaves from his hands.

He could even survive in outer space without water, food, or air.

But this Drax was not as powerful as his comic counterpart, so he was far from a match for Ronan the Accuser.

Their fight was like an adult bullying a child.

Before long, Drax was beaten by Ronan the Accuser until he couldn't get up.

Seeing this, Wang Bo stepped forward.

Ronan the Accuser saw Wang Bo approaching and couldn't help asking, "Who are you?"

He had killed too many people to know where these enemies came from.
