Chapter 009: The Millennium Falcon

获得主角能力的我只想过平凡生活 · 第009章 千年隼

After some introductions, Wang Bo learned that the human was called Han Solo and the Wookiee was named Chewbacca.

Han Solo was the captain of a smuggling ship, and Chewbacca was his partner.

"My companion tells me you need a ride to the Alderaan system," Han Solo said, looking at Wang Bo and his group as if they were easy marks.

"Yes, if your ship is fast enough," Obi-Wan said calmly.

Han Solo laughed. "Fast enough? Haven't you heard of the Millennium Falcon?"

As if he were famous.

Wang Bo couldn't help but look this man named Han Solo up and down. If he remembered correctly, the Millennium Falcon seemed quite famous in Star Wars.

Lego had even released a Millennium Falcon toy.

He hadn't expected this guy to be the captain of the Millennium Falcon; he must be a fairly important character in Star Wars. Thinking carefully, Luke was the protagonist of the Star Wars story, and people around him had a high chance of appearing in the plot.

Just like the thug who had picked a fight with Luke earlier, he might also show up in the story.

But Obi-Wan didn't seem to know about the Millennium Falcon; instead, he said, "Should I?"

Han Solo said proudly, "Less than twelve parsecs to Kessel. I've used this ship to escape Imperial pursuit—and I'm not talking about some piece of junk, but big warships. Old man, for you folks, my ship is fast enough."

He glanced at them and asked, "What's the cargo?"

Obi-Wan said calmly, "Just passengers. The three of us, plus two droids. And remember, no questions."

Han Solo couldn't help but laugh. "What, you in some kind of trouble locally?"

"Let's just say we're avoiding Imperial entanglements."

"I see. For that, I'll need a lot of money." Han Solo thought for a moment and said, "Ten thousand, and I want it in advance."

Luke said indignantly, "For that price, we could buy a ship."

Han Solo said unhurriedly, "But you don't have a good pilot to fly you out."

Obi-Wan stopped Luke, who was about to say more, and offered a higher price. "I can give you two thousand now, and another fifteen thousand when we reach Alderaan."

Han Solo said, "Seventeen thousand, right?"

Obi-Wan nodded.

Han Solo smiled. "Good. I think you've found your ship. Get ready; we leave soon. Remember, docking bay 94."

Wang Bo committed the number to memory.

Han Solo said calmly, "Go prepare."

Wang Bo and the others got up and, led by Obi-Wan, left the bar.

He said to Luke, "We don't have enough money now. We'll have to sell your speeder to raise some funds."

Luke nodded without objection. "Fine. We're not coming back anyway."

Although this was the planet where he grew up, his aunt and uncle were dead. For him, it was a place of sorrow, and now he only wanted to escape.

Obi-Wan was familiar with the area. He led Wang Bo and Luke to a buyer, sold the speeder, and raised the advance payment.

They headed toward docking bay 94.

Halfway there, Wang Bo noticed someone seemed to be following them. He looked back, and the follower immediately hid, quick to react.

Wang Bo smiled and told Obi-Wan.

Obi-Wan said, "I'll handle it. You go to bay 94—"

"No, I'll handle it," Wang Bo interrupted. "After I deal with this guy, I'll catch up."

Obi-Wan glanced at Wang Bo and agreed to his request. In his view, although Wang Bo had trained only briefly, he was already no less than a formal Jedi Knight and could handle the problem.

Wang Bo formally left the group and walked toward the follower.

The follower also realized Wang Bo was coming toward him and, aware he was exposed, ducked into a small alley to evade Wang Bo's pursuit.

Wang Bo followed unhurriedly along the trail left behind.

He cornered the man in a dead-end alley.

No, to be precise, the man was waiting for him there. Seeing Wang Bo enter, the follower immediately drew a blaster, aimed at Wang Bo, and without a word, pulled the trigger.

Swoosh!

A laser bolt flew toward Wang Bo's head. Wang Bo dodged, suddenly vanishing from the follower's sight. The follower couldn't help but widen his eyes.

The next second, Wang Bo appeared behind him and slapped him.

Bang!

The follower was slammed into the wall, embedded in it, unable to fall off.

Wang Bo had no sympathy for someone who tried to kill him.

If Wang Bo's demons were still around, he would have summoned them to devour the man's soul. Perhaps the demon would evolve significantly after eating an alien's soul.

Unfortunately, everything under his command had been taken away.

But even so, Wang Bo held nothing back. He not only shattered the man's bones but also damaged his brain, leaving him a vegetable if he survived.

Having dealt with the stalker, Wang Bo caught up with Obi-Wan and the others, and they arrived together at docking bay 94.

Han Solo saw them coming and waved.

"Come on board."

After everyone boarded the ship, Obi-Wan first handed over the two thousand credits from selling the speeder. Han Solo smiled slightly, pocketed the money, and said, "Don't forget my fifteen thousand."

"I'll give it to you when we reach Alderaan."

"Fine."

Han Solo sat in the cockpit, closed the hatch, and started the engines. The Millennium Falcon slowly lifted off and headed out of the atmosphere.

The ship was fast; in no time, it broke through the atmosphere and entered outer space.

Han Solo flew steadily for a while, then engaged the hyperdrive. The destination had been entered into the ship's computer.

Now they just had to wait for the jump to end, and they would arrive at Alderaan.

But that would take some time.

After all, from Tatooine to Alderaan was a long journey; even with a hyperspace jump, it required time.

Obi-Wan used this time to train Luke, teaching him how to feel the Force and control it.
