Chapter 041: Run

Wang Bo understood immediately upon hearing this.

Obadiah had long harbored murderous intent toward Tony Stark and had begun active preparations. His men found the battered Mark I in Afghanistan and built the Iron Monger based on it.

At the same time, after Wang Bo's reminder, Tony Stark sensed Obadiah's ambition.

He wanted to send Obadiah to prison.

But Obadiah was one step ahead, having already destroyed the evidence.

Tony Stark was caught off guard by the Iron Monger and nearly died.

After questioning Tony Stark, Wang Bo turned to Coulson and asked, "If I remember correctly, S.H.I.E.L.D. should have known long ago that Obadiah wanted to kill Tony Stark. Why didn't you act immediately?"

Coulson helplessly pointed at the Iron Monger, which had already stood up, and said, "Do we really have to discuss this now?"

Wang Bo extended a finger, and powerful magical energy gathered at its tip, flickering with light, forming a baseball-sized magic bullet!

Wang Bo flicked his finger lightly, and the magic bullet shot out instantly, trailing a swaying black light. It not only pierced the missile fired by the Iron Monger but also blasted the Iron Monger dozens of meters away.

Coulson said helplessly, "Obadiah is very cautious. He eliminated all the evidence. Without sufficient evidence, we can't just arrest Obadiah."

"You're not the police; why do you need evidence?" Wang Bo said disdainfully.

Wang Bo pondered. The reason Coulson hadn't discovered Obadiah secretly building the Iron Monger might not only be due to Obadiah's secrecy but also because the S.H.I.E.L.D. agents he dispatched were HYDRA agents.

HYDRA agents discovered Obadiah's secret but kept quiet, hiding the information from Coulson.

This wasn't impossible.

After World War II, HYDRA had already taken root within S.H.I.E.L.D. Even the former director, who also served as the current director Nick Fury's superior, Alexander Pierce, was a HYDRA member.

All HYDRA members within S.H.I.E.L.D. were under Alexander Pierce's management.

Hiding something from Coulson was the simplest thing.

As long as he could kill Tony Stark and take over Stark Industries, what was a mere Mark I design?

However, Obadiah never expected that Tony Stark would have a mysterious bodyguard, and his assassination attempt on Tony Stark failed, making him a homeless dog.

But as long as he didn't die or go to prison, he still had a chance to make a comeback, because he not only had the Iron Monger design but also an arc reactor.

He believed those mysterious people would definitely be interested and help him.

Thus, he could go from the open to the shadows, continue to assassinate Tony Stark, and wait for the day of success.

When that time came, he would still be the victor.
