Chapter 004: Withdrawal Procedures

获得主角能力的我只想过平凡生活 · 第004章 退学手续

Next, Wang Bo went to a real estate agency and spent over a hundred million yen to buy an apartment in Shinjuku with a prime location and superb views.

From this apartment, one could walk to Tokyo's largest Japanese garden, Shinjuku Gyoen, and Isetan department store.

The management services were complete, making life convenient.

Transportation was also very convenient, with the station within walking distance.

For Wang Bo, it was a very nice house. More importantly, the interior decoration was not luxurious but very tasteful.

So Wang Bo bought it almost as soon as he saw it. After paying, he moved into the apartment before nightfall that day.

That was the most important point: move-in ready!

Only then did Wang Bo have the mind to think about what kind of world he had come to.

However, based on the residual information in Kaneki Ken's mind, Wang Bo found no significant clues, so he couldn't determine what kind of world this was.

According to past experience, the person he replaced was always more or less connected to the story's characters.

For example, in the Detective Dee world, he replaced a friend of Yuan Zhen.

In the Aladdin world, he replaced the main villain, Jafar.

In the Twin Dragons world, he directly replaced one of the protagonists, Ming.

In the Spider-Man world, he replaced Spider-Man's high school classmate, Flash Thompson.

In the Wanted world, he replaced the protagonist's father, Cross.

Then in some unknown Tang Dynasty world, he replaced An Lushan.

And in the previous world, he replaced one of Iron Man's archenemies, Justin Hammer.

These examples told Wang Bo that the person he replaced was related to the plot. However, this time, he bore the protagonist's name but found nothing and couldn't identify the world.

He guessed there were two reasons for this situation.

First, Kaneki Ken might be related to the story's characters, but Wang Bo had entered a world whose plot he didn't know, so he couldn't determine what world it was.

Second, this was an exception: the Kaneki Ken he replaced had nothing to do with the plot.

So he couldn't judge what world this was.

If it was the former, then he would never know what world this was.

If it was the latter, he might encounter story characters in the future and thus determine the world.

But whether it was the former or the latter, Wang Bo wasn't worried.

Really, he wasn't worried at all.

From the residual information in Kaneki Ken's mind, this seemed to be a very peaceful world, likely a comedy, romance, or drama world.

So in Wang Bo's view, whether he encountered the plot or not didn't matter.

After all, this world probably had no natural disasters or man-made calamities, and he could live a relaxed life.

As for the transmigrator, if fate allowed, he would naturally appear before him; if not, he would just have to outlive the other.

After all, Wang Bo had a very long lifespan.

So for now, he didn't need to worry about the plot or the transmigrator; living his own life was the most important thing.

After dinner, Wang Bo lay on the sofa watching TV, playing with his phone with one hand, observing recent social trends, but still found nothing.

No natural disasters, no man-made calamities, no mysterious events—it seemed like an ordinary world.

But such a world was perfect for Wang Bo.

Over the next few days, Wang Bo quickly adapted to this world. After all, he was originally a modern person. Although he had changed countries, thanks to Kaneki Ken's memories, he easily integrated into this world.

One day, Wang Bo received a call from the school.

His attendance rate for the semester had exceeded the danger zone, so he would definitely have to repeat the year. But Wang Bo didn't care; he simply left the apartment and went to school to handle the withdrawal procedures. After all, he didn't want to study anyway.

Maybe some people would miss their school days after graduating from university, but Wang Bo wouldn't.

He preferred his current life.

Wang Bo took out his Transformers Blackwing from the four-dimensional pocket and had Blackwing transform into a trendy Ferrari sports car, speeding all the way to school.

This flashy sports car attracted countless gazes as it passed through the school gate.

Wang Bo parked Blackwing in the lot and said, "Wait for me here; I'll be out soon."

Blackwing replied, "No problem, sir."

Getting out of the car, Wang Bo entered the teaching building and went straight to the teachers' office.

"Kaneki, you finally came to school," Kaneki Ken's former teacher complained as soon as he saw Wang Bo. "Do you know how many classes you've skipped? Do you still want to study?"

Other teachers in the office glanced at Wang Bo in surprise, but most minded their own business, handling their tasks without paying much attention.

After all, everyone was busy.

Wang Bo said calmly, "Teacher Nagato, I came today to handle the withdrawal procedures."

Nagato was taken aback, his expression turning serious. "Kaneki, do you know what you're saying?"

"Yes, I do."

"You want to drop out."

"Yes." Wang Bo nodded again.

Seeing Wang Bo's firm resolve, Nagato sighed and didn't try to persuade him. "I understand. Come with me."

He stood up and led Wang Bo to handle the withdrawal procedures.

The two walked in silence.

After all the procedures were done, Nagato said slowly, "Kaneki, I don't know what trouble you're facing, but I hope you can get through it. You still have a long life ahead, a very long road. Don't give up on your life, okay, Kaneki."

Wang Bo nodded.

Nagato wasn't good at speeches. His words were dry, seemingly earnest but actually clichéd.

Out of ten people, probably nine would dismiss them.

Nagato seemed aware of this, but he still said it because not saying it would make him feel he had failed his duty as a teacher. Even if the other person didn't listen, he had done his best.

As long as he had no regrets about his profession as a teacher.

As for the rest, Nagato couldn't change it.

After taking leave of Nagato, Wang Bo returned to the parking lot, got into the car, and stretched. "Let's go, Blackwing."

The sports car ignited automatically and slowly started moving.

Debt repaid, school dropped, apartment changed—Wang Bo felt completely relaxed. He believed his wonderful life was about to begin.
