Chapter 011: Making a Move

A dozen cars sped through the streets, having entered the old district of Gotham City.

Cars converged from all directions.

With only one purpose.

Leonardo sat grimly in the passenger seat of a sedan. Beneath his seemingly calm expression hid a fury like a volcano about to erupt.

He had just called his subordinate, but no one answered.

This gave Leonardo a very bad feeling.

"Obviously, your man was either found and captured, or killed."

Just then, a voice came from the back seat of the sedan.

Through the rearview mirror, Leonardo could clearly see a bald man sitting in the back.

The man held a small knife, a mocking smile on his face.

"Your men are useless, Leonardo."

Leonardo said indignantly, "At least he found that Spider-Woman's trail."

"But Spider-Woman might have already left," the bald man sneered. "Maybe your man just made us waste a trip."

Leonardo did not retort, because he had the same concern: if his subordinate had been discovered, would Spider-Woman really stay put? Could she have already vanished without a trace?

This made Leonardo hate his subordinate even more.

He couldn't help cursing inwardly: "Adam, you idiot. If you make me waste this trip, I swear I'll skin you alive."

Just then, the bald man asked, "Where did your man say he was the last time he called you?"

"At the cathedral, Zsasz!"

"Then to the cathedral," the bald man called Zsasz said darkly. "You'd better pray, Leonardo, that your man didn't make me waste a trip, or I'll kill him."

Soon, the cars raced all the way and finally arrived at the cathedral.

After Leonardo and Zsasz got out, cars sped in from all directions and stopped around the cathedral, blocking it off completely.

Men in black suits, armed with weapons, stepped out of the cars.

Zsasz showed an excited smile. "Let's see if that Spider-Man cosplayer is still here."

With that, he walked without hesitation toward the cathedral.

The others followed closely.

Creak!

With a loud noise, the church doors were pushed open. Bald Zsasz and Leonardo strode in first. The rest swarmed in, pistols raised, scanning the entire church.

At the same time, they saw a man hanging in the center of the cathedral.

It was Wang Bo.

Other than that, the cathedral was empty, with no one else.

Zsasz whistled. "Your man really is useless. Looks like we made a wasted trip."

Leonardo's eyes reddened with rage. Feeling that Wang Bo had utterly disgraced him, he raised his hand, aimed his gun at Wang Bo without hesitation, and pulled the trigger.

The moment the bullet left the chamber, it flew toward Wang Bo at incredible speed, its immense force easily capable of blowing an ordinary person's skull clean off.

But he missed.

Wang Bo truly hadn't expected that Leonardo would try to kill him, and in front of everyone no less—it was completely beyond his expectations.

The moment Leonardo raised his hand and aimed the gun at him, Wang Bo reacted, instinctively unleashing Ripple Breathing.

Spider-Gwen's webbing was naturally no exception.

Just as Wang Bo was utterly bewildered, Spider-Gwen suddenly emerged from a shadow. Firing webs rapidly with both hands, she stuck the pistols held by the Falcone family members.

With a gentle tug, Spider-Gwen yanked the weapons away, flinging them all against the wall.

The sudden turn of events threw the Falcone family into chaos.

Bald Zasz and Leonardo reacted first.

Zasz let out a cold laugh, sprinting at full speed toward Spider-Gwen, his knife thrusting mercilessly at her throat.

"Die!"

Leonardo's pistol had been snatched away by Spider-Gwen, so he instinctively pulled out a second gun and aimed at her.

At the same time, Spider-Gwen's spider-sense detected danger. She leaped up instinctively, dodging the incoming bullet, then stomped down on Bald Zasz's head.

Using his head as a springboard, she jumped again with force.

Spider-Gwen leaped up, stomping down hard. The heavy force sent Bald Zasz crashing to his knees with a thud.

Springing up again, Spider-Gwen landed lightly behind Leonardo.

Leonardo quickly turned, trying to aim at Spider-Gwen again.

But Spider-Gwen didn't give him a chance. As he turned, she kicked out, sending his weapon flying, and another kick struck his shoulder.

The immense force coursed through his body, sending Leonardo flying.

Wang Bo sighed at the sight. No matter how he had been exposed, since Leonardo had shot at him, it meant the other man wanted him dead.

So the Falcone family was no longer an option for him.

Now he had no choice but to fight.

Wang Bo stomped hard on the ground with his right foot. A tremendous force erupted, surging through his body. He charged forward like a tank, each step leaving a solid footprint on the floor.

The ground even trembled slightly.

In an instant, Wang Bo had covered seven or eight meters. At the same time, Leonardo, who had been kicked flying by Spider-Gwen, happened to fall from above, colliding head-on with Wang Bo.

Amid the deafening crash, Leonardo didn't even have time to scream before he was knocked unconscious. But his body, like a stray cannonball, slammed heavily into the crowd.
