Chapter 024: Impersonating a Deity

Laura flew up, waved her hand, rescued her companions who had fallen into the sea, and brought them to the island of the Yamatai Kingdom.

The companions on the Endurance stared wide-eyed at Laura descending from the sky, speechless.

“Saw me fall into the sea, right?”

Roth said, “I can see you’re different somehow.”

“I met a deity.” Laura pointed to the sky, and Wang Bo descended from above, landing beside her.

Everyone was startled.

Laura continued, “This is a great deity. He saved me and granted me powerful abilities, which is why I could save you all.”

Wang Bo looked aloof, indifferent to the group.

Laura told these lies to conceal the existence of the Moon Box. If she told everyone she had come back from the future, they would easily think of a time machine.

In the original plot, this guy quickly betrayed Laura’s group after meeting Mathias.

Without a doubt, he was a selfish individual.

Wang Bo turned his head, shot two beams of light from his eyes, and shattered the micro camera in Whitman’s hand. Whitman screamed, clutching his injured hand and wailing.

Wang Bo said expressionlessly, “If you offend me again, I’ll kill you.”

Roth looked at the fragments on the ground, seemed to understand, and quickly said to the black woman beside him, “Go bandage him.”

The black woman nodded.

Roth turned to Wang Bo and said, “Please forgive his actions. He was just too curious, great deity.”

Wang Bo said, “For Laura’s sake, I forgive this offense.”

Everyone breathed a sigh of relief upon hearing this.

Laura quickly bowed, showing reverence to the deity. “Thank you for your magnanimity, my god.”

Wang Bo chuckled inwardly; this woman really knew how to play her part.

Roth also breathed a sigh of relief, thinking this supposed deity was easy to get along with. But before that thought could settle, he heard the man say:

“I forgive your offense, but you have entered my domain. For Laura’s sake, I allow you to leave here alive, but you must leave immediately.”

Roth was taken aback and quickly said, “But our ship has sunk. We can’t leave here in a short time.”

Without a word, Wang Bo drew a circle in the air and opened a portal.

On the other side of the portal was a small alley in London.

“Go through this door, and you’ll be back in London.”

Everyone was astonished. This ability was too incredible—could this man really be a deity?

Roth opened his mouth to say something when he saw a woman running out, shouting, “Wait, wait!”

His heart sank. “Samantha, come back.”

Without a doubt, this woman shouting “wait” was Laura’s close friend from boarding school through London University.

Wang Bo turned his gaze to this woman.

Samantha said excitedly, “You said this is your domain, but according to Laura’s father’s notes, this should be the Yamatai Kingdom, the place of the Sun Queen Himiko.”

Wang Bo was taken aback. “What are you trying to say?”

Samantha said excitedly, “I mean, historical records are wrong. Himiko wasn’t a woman; Himiko was actually a man!”

Roth and the others: …

You’ve got quite an imagination. Himiko a man? Wang Bo realized that Samantha had mistaken him for Himiko. “Nonsense. I’m not Himiko. Himiko was indeed a woman.”

Samantha said, “Then you must be related to Himiko. I remember historical records mention Himiko had a brother. Could it be you?”

Laura said with a wry smile, “Samantha, this lord is a deity.”

“I know. Many believe that the Japanese sun goddess Amaterasu originated from Himiko, and some scholars even think Himiko was Amaterasu.”

Samantha, as if guessing something, grew even more excited. “And in Japanese mythology, Amaterasu, the sun goddess, indeed had a brother named Susanoo.”

“You can leave now.” Wang Bo pointed at the portal and urged again.
