Chapter 019: The Fugitive Maru

获得主角能力的我只想过平凡生活 · 第019章 富贵丸号

On these matters, Wang Bo also discovered several suspicious points.

But he was not in a hurry.

The reason was simple: Wang Bo believed that as long as he kept pursuing, the truth would eventually surface. When that time came, after he had investigated everything thoroughly and sent the troublemakers back to where they came from, the world would eventually return to peace. It was that simple.

There was no need to rush at all.

So in the following days, Wang Bo maintained his own rhythm, spending each day with Xiao Bai and Xiao Qing—shopping, watching movies, showing affection, traveling, eating, and kissing.

His little life was so comfortable that he wouldn't trade it for being a god.

About seven or eight days later, Wang Bo suddenly received a call from Meng Bo, who said he had found Imamura Kiyoko.

Wang Bo asked where Imamura Kiyoko was, but he didn't expect Meng Bo to give him a very surprising answer.

Hong Kong!

"Are you sure?" Wang Bo was a bit stunned after hearing the answer. Wasn't Imamura Kiyoko kidnapped in Japan? How could she suddenly appear in Hong Kong?

"Of course I'm sure. Someone told me Imamura Kiyoko is in Hong Kong. Why don't you come pick me up, and we'll go find her together." Ever since Wang Bo had taken them to the Sahara Desert, Meng Bo believed that Wang Bo could teleport, easily appearing anywhere in the world.

More importantly, he could take people with him.

That was damn impressive.

Meng Bo was incredibly envious. Not only did it save time, but it also saved on plane tickets. Travel expenses these days were way too high.

Wang Bo rolled his eyes, snapped his fingers, and instantly pulled Meng Bo from Japan to his side.

Meng Bo stared at Wang Bo in shock, then said after hanging up, "You can even do that?"

"I can also send you to Antarctica. Want to try?"

"No need for that." Meng Bo quickly shook his head. With his thin frame and the clothes he was wearing, he'd freeze to death in Antarctica. "By the way, Sae—Sae is also here. Hurry up and bring her over too."

Wang Bo sighed and snapped his fingers again. Nogami Sae appeared out of thin air in front of Wang Bo.

Suddenly teleported to a strange villa, Nogami Sae didn't panic. Seeing Wang Bo, she gave a charming smile.

"We meet again, Wang Bo-san."

Wang Bo nodded and was about to speak when Xiao Bai and Xiao Qing, who had gone out shopping, opened the door and came in. Seeing the two extra people in the room, Xiao Bai smiled slightly and asked, "Honey, are they your friends?"

When Meng Bo saw Xiao Bai, his eyes went wide.

Wang Bo said, "Let me introduce you. This is Meng Bo, the City Hunter, my temporary partner. This is Miss Nogami Sae, a friend of Meng Bo's."

Then he pointed at Xiao Bai and said, "This is Xiao Bai, my wife. Next to her is Xiao Qing, also my wife."

Meng Bo was taken aback. He looked at Xiao Bai and Xiao Qing, then at Wang Bo, and held up two fingers. "You have two wives?"

That was just too enviable and hateful. Damn life winner.

Nogami Sae's mouth twitched slightly. She had originally thought Wang Bo was a good man, but now it seemed he was just a playboy.

However, she hadn't expected Wang Bo's women to be such stunning beauties.

In terms of appearance, she herself felt inferior.

Wang Bo glanced sideways at Meng Bo and asked, "I have two wives. Do you have any objections?"

"No, no." Meng Bo quickly shook his head and gave a thumbs-up. "What I wanted to say is, your wives are really beautiful."

Xiao Bai smiled slightly and said, "Thank you."

Xiao Qing snorted lightly and said, "Sycophant."

But as soon as she said that, Xiao Bai shot her a glare. Meng Bo laughed nonchalantly; he had thick skin and didn't mind being called names, since he was indeed there to latch onto Wang Bo's success.

Wang Bo said, "Alright, have a seat. Tell me, how did you two find out that Imamura Kiyoko is in Hong Kong?"

Meng Bo plopped down on the sofa and said, "Here's the thing: after we parted ways last time, we've been tracking Imamura Kiyoko's whereabouts and keeping a close watch on every move of the Imamura Press."

"Just this morning, Imamura Koji suddenly called me and said he received a distress call from his daughter. She said she's trapped in Hong Kong and hopes I can bring her back."

Wang Bo asked, "Isn't he afraid that this daughter might be a fake?"

"That's why this job needs us." Meng Bo slapped his thigh. "If she's fake, we'll capture her and find out the real Imamura Kiyoko's whereabouts. If she's real, we'll bring her back and hand her over to Imamura Koji. Simple, isn't it?"

Wang Bo nodded and asked, "Did Imamura Kiyoko say exactly where she is?"

"No, she didn't." Meng Bo shook his head. "Imamura Koji told me his daughter called him secretly, only said she was in Hong Kong, and then the call was cut off before she could say the exact location."

Wang Bo couldn't help but laugh. "All this fuss, as if it's real."

In his view, this was likely a ploy by the person called Fox to play hard to get.

Meng Bo said, "While that's very possible, we can't rule out that it was the real Imamura Kiyoko who made the call."

He paused, then took a box out of his pocket and handed it to Wang Bo.

"What's this?" Wang Bo took the box and asked.

"It's a hair clip that Imamura Kiyoko often uses." Meng Bo said.

Wang Bo opened the box; inside was indeed a delicate butterfly hair clip.

Nogami Sae asked, "Can we use this to find Imamura Kiyoko?"

"Let me try." Wang Bo cast a spell, touched the hair clip, and it instantly transformed into a pigeon. It circled the room a few times, and when Wang Bo got up and opened the window, the white pigeon flew out.

Meng Bo and Nogami Sae were about to chase after it immediately, but Wang Bo calmly stopped them and pointed to the Ferrari sports car outside the villa.

Meng Bo's eyes lit up. He drove the sports car, with Wang Bo and Nogami Sae, all the way to a dock.

At the dock was a luxurious cruise ship, with the ship's name written on its side... Fugitive Maru.

Seeing the name, Wang Bo couldn't help but laugh.

Meng Bo was puzzled, completely unable to understand what Wang Bo was laughing at. Was the name Fugitive Maru funny?

He looked at Nogami Sae, who was also confused.

The name Fugitive Maru wasn't funny, of course. But Wang Bo wasn't laughing at the name; he was laughing at something else amusing.
