Chapter 020 Coincidence

获得主角能力的我只想过平凡生活 · 第020章 巧合

When Wang Bo first saw Meng Bo, he knew that this world was not only the world of Twin Dragons but also the world of City Hunter.

And Wang Bo remembered the plot of City Hunter very clearly.

He had to thank Xiao Bai and Xiao Qing for that; while accompanying the two women to watch movies and play games, he had revisited the plot of City Hunter, so he still remembered it vividly.

The plot of City Hunter was about the owner of Imamura Newspaper, Imamura Koji, who wanted to marry a woman, but his daughter Imamura Kiyoko opposed it.

After a big quarrel, Imamura Kiyoko left Japan in a huff and went to Hong Kong.

Worried about his daughter, Imamura Koji commissioned City Hunter Meng Bo to go to Hong Kong and bring her back.

After arriving in Hong Kong, Meng Bo did find Imamura Kiyoko, but the problem was that Kiyoko didn't want to leave with him. She slipped away while Meng Bo wasn't paying attention and stole someone's clothes.

That person happened to be a socialite with an invitation to the Fugimaru, so Imamura Kiyoko managed to sneak aboard the Fugimaru.

After Kiyoko escaped, Meng Bo returned to his base, but was ambushed by several female assassins seeking revenge for a previous job.

Then this scene was witnessed by Meng Bo's partner, Nakamura Keiko.

Nakamura Keiko was the sister of Nakamura, Meng Bo's former partner. During one mission, Nakamura died, leaving only his sister in Meng Bo's care.

So Meng Bo raised Nakamura Keiko, and over time, feelings developed between them.

But Meng Bo was always a playboy, so their relationship was very delicate.

This time, seeing the female assassins, Nakamura Keiko thought Meng Bo was playing some special game. Jealous, she accepted her cousin's invitation and boarded the Fugimaru.

To win back Nakamura Keiko, Meng Bo also sneaked aboard the Fugimaru.

The Fugimaru was a gambling ship on the high seas, but before it set sail, a group of vicious criminals targeted it. The police, unsure of the truth, sent a capable female officer with weapons aboard the Fugimaru. That female officer was none other than

Wang Bo's friend in this world, Ya Zi!

After the Fugimaru entered international waters, the criminals hijacked the ship and began extorting money from all the wealthy passengers. But in the end, Meng Bo, Ya Zi, and others displayed great prowess, defeated the criminals, and saved the Fugimaru.

That was the original plot of City Hunter.

But ever since Hades entered this world, the plot had been derailed.

The dead revived, supernatural events occurred frequently. Ya Zi had already joined the GDF to maintain world peace.

And Imamura Kiyoko had been kidnapped, involving the matter of the Ansa sword, which didn't exist in the original plot. Just when Wang Bo thought the story had changed beyond recognition,

Imamura Kiyoko appeared in Hong Kong, and the white dove transformed from her hairpin flew straight into the Fugimaru.

This was very surreal.

What's more interesting was that the movie version of City Hunter Wang Bo had seen was adapted from the manga City Hunter.

Meng Bo was the manga's Ryo Saeba.

Nakamura Keiko was the manga's Kaori Makimura.

As for Wang Bo's friend Ya Zi, she was the manga's Saeko Nogami.

However, when Wang Bo entered this world, he found that Meng Bo was still Ryo Saeba. People like him had multiple passports and names; maybe he even had another name like Hanyu Liang.

As for Nakamura Keiko, Wang Bo had never met her.

But Ya Zi was not Saeko Nogami. Although both were female officers, Ya Zi was from Hong Kong, while Saeko Nogami was Japanese, creating a curious difference.

Now, Ya Zi had joined the GDF to maintain world peace.

But Imamura Kiyoko was still kidnapped and taken aboard the Fugimaru. To rescue her, Meng Bo had to sneak onto the ship. More interestingly, because Ya Zi had joined the GDF, another Saeko appeared, replacing Ya Zi, and decided to team up with Meng Bo to board the Fugimaru.

The plot had somehow returned to its course.

That was why Wang Bo couldn't help but laugh when he saw the Fugimaru. He wasn't sure if this was coincidence or fate.

But Wang Bo thought the former was more likely, because there was no such thing as fate in this world.

If it were the world of My Date with a Vampire, fate's appearance would be unsurprising, but in this world, talking about fate was nonsense.

After the white dove flew into the Fugimaru, Wang Bo and his group stopped.

Meng Bo looked at the cruise ship, scanning it several times as if observing something. After a while, he said, "It seems Imamura Kiyoko is inside, but this ship is heavily guarded. I see many patrols. How do we get in now?"

Wang Bo asked back, "Why do we need to get in?"

Meng Bo said, "If we don't get in, how do we rescue Imamura Kiyoko?"

"That's your problem, not mine." Wang Bo shot Meng Bo a contemptuous look. "Don't measure me by your standards."

Meng Bo was baffled.

Saeko Nogami lowered her voice and said, "Have you forgotten how we got to Hong Kong?"

Meng Bo was taken aback, then suddenly understood.

They had been teleported to Hong Kong by Wang Bo, meaning Wang Bo could teleport Imamura Kiyoko out of the Fugimaru at any time.

"That's a great idea!" He clapped his hands. "Stealthy and perfect. By the way, can you teach me this teleportation technique?"

Wang Bo chuckled. He knew Meng Bo was thick-skinned, but this was a new low. So Wang Bo nodded and said, "Sure, if you run naked three laps around Hong Kong, I'll teach you."

"You said it." Meng Bo seemed afraid Wang Bo would back out.

Wang Bo: ...

He turned to Saeko Nogami. "Does this guy have no shame?"

Saeko Nogami sighed. "His shame threshold is lower than you think."

Wang Bo: ...

Finally, he steeled himself and said, "A bet is a bet. If you really do it, I'll teach you teleportation."

Since the other party was willing to go that far, Wang Bo didn't want to be a liar.

But in the end, Meng Bo didn't take off his clothes. Although his threshold was low, it wasn't nonexistent. He could only reluctantly bid farewell to the divine skill of teleportation.

Meanwhile, Wang Bo activated his X-ray vision and scanned the Fugimaru, finding the person he was looking for.

Imamura Kiyoko was imprisoned in a luxury suite.

There was no one around, but at the door stood two burly guards.

As for the white dove transformed from the hairpin, it was shot down before it could approach the room.
