Chapter 020: The Mysterious Guy

获得主角能力的我只想过平凡生活 · 第020章 神秘的家伙

Hagoromo Kitsune hesitated, uncertain whether to trust this suddenly appearing stranger.

Wang Bo watched her shifting gaze, snapped his fingers with a sharp crack to draw her attention, and said, "Miss Hagoromo Kitsune, I heard there's another world-traveler by your side. Can you tell me who that is and where they are?"

Hagoromo Kitsune asked, "Why do you ask?"

"As you can see, I want to find him and send him home."

"I don't trust you yet."

"That doesn't matter."

Wang Bo shook his head and said, "I'm sending you home, and you can't refuse."

If Hagoromo Kitsune were a righteous person, Wang Bo might have explained patiently, but for a villain who loved eating human hearts and livers, he had little patience.

He stepped forward, trying to approach Hagoromo Kitsune. Her heart leaped, and her tail whipped over in an instant.

Three-Tailed Tachi.

The sharp tachi tore through the air and in a flash slashed toward Wang Bo's neck, but stopped a second before touching it.

Hagoromo Kitsune's expression changed as she felt her entire tail frozen in the void by an invisible force.

Unable to strike or retract.

Wang Bo's expression remained unchanged as he calmly walked forward a few steps.

Hagoromo Kitsune's face twisted in fury as her tails erupted, striking at Wang Bo from all directions.

Two-Tailed Tessen!

Four-Tailed Spear!

One sharp weapon after another shot toward Wang Bo's throat and heart.

But each time, a second before impact, they were frozen in the void by an invisible force, unable to move.

Wang Bo walked up to Hagoromo Kitsune, looked at her face shifting from fury to fear, and smiled slightly. "Miss Hagoromo Kitsune, can you tell me now who that person is?"

Hagoromo Kitsune didn't answer. Her right hand shot out toward Wang Bo's head. The demonic aura she had gathered strengthened her hand, making it indestructible, tearing through steel as easily as cutting tofu.

But the moment her hand was about to touch Wang Bo, it was again frozen midair by an invisible force, unable to advance even a millimeter.

Yet Hagoromo Kitsune's face showed a triumphant smile, because although her hand was frozen, the demonic aura wrapped around it shot out like an arrow, blasting into Wang Bo's face.

"Die," she whispered.

But the next second, her smile froze. The demonic aura that could cut through metal and jade did not shred Wang Bo's head, nor even break his skin, but was blocked by his defense.

"Not bad," Wang Bo said, rubbing his face. "Feels like someone blew a breath on me, kind of ticklish."

Hagoromo Kitsune: ...

"Anyway, tell me who that person is first," Wang Bo said slowly, ignoring her stunned expression.

Hagoromo Kitsune was silent for a long time, saying nothing.

Wang Bo couldn't stand the atmosphere. "Are you sure you want to drag this out, Miss Hagoromo Kitsune? I'm not a patient man."

In fact, Wang Bo had little patience for such murderous villains. For instance, he had sent the Sky King back but also planted a time bomb inside him.

By now, that guy had probably turned into a beautiful firework, illuminating the surroundings.

Hagoromo Kitsune caught the threat in Wang Bo's words. Her will to survive made her betray that person without hesitation, since she hadn't known him long.

In fact, she only knew him casually, not as a companion. She had tried to recruit him, but he refused, so she had no obligation to keep his secret.

"His name is Sesshomaru. He's a dog demon."

Wang Bo immediately understood. It was Sesshomaru, the elder brother of the protagonist from the world of Inuyasha, son of the Great Dog General.

"Where is he now?" Wang Bo asked.

Hagoromo Kitsune shook her head. "I tried to recruit him, but he refused and left. I don't know his whereabouts."

Wang Bo said, "Oh." Since he knew Sesshomaru's name, finding him was only a matter of time.

"Good, thank you for your cooperation, Miss Hagoromo Kitsune."

Hagoromo Kitsune remained silent.

Wang Bo continued, "Actually, I have one last question."

Without waiting for her reply, he asked, "Besides Sesshomaru, do you know any other world-travelers? Please answer carefully, and don't hide anything."

With the knife at her throat, Hagoromo Kitsune could only answer humiliatingly, "I know one other guy, but I don't know his name. He's very strong and uses a strange power I've never seen before."

"Oh, what does he look like?" Wang Bo asked.

Hagoromo Kitsune used her demonic aura to form an image of the person. Wang Bo glanced at it and rubbed his temples in frustration. He didn't recognize this guy.

Wang Bo had never seen him before.

What he had feared had happened: a world-traveler he didn't recognize had appeared.

Fortunately, this person had been discovered by Hagoromo Kitsune.

If she hadn't found him, tracking him down would not have been easy.

Wang Bo nodded. "Good, thank you for your cooperation, Miss Hagoromo Kitsune. Do you know anyone else besides these two?"

Hagoromo Kitsune shook her head.

Wang Bo said, "Then you wouldn't mind if I check your memory, would you?"

Hagoromo Kitsune's heart tightened, then she laughed bitterly and sneered, "If I say I mind, will you stop?"

"Of course not."

Wang Bo said matter-of-factly. You're not a righteous person, so why should I listen to you?

Hagoromo Kitsune laughed coldly.

Wang Bo didn't care at all. He grabbed Hagoromo Kitsune's head and began rifling through her memories, quickly finding the man.

Hagoromo Kitsune had come to this world earlier than Wang Bo, arriving half a year ago.

She had soon noticed something was wrong, because there were no demons in this world at all, leading her to conclude she had come to a parallel world.

This made her anxious, because she couldn't give birth to her son Abe no Seimei in this world, so she began searching for a way back.

But she had no clue about that.

Just then, Hagoromo Kitsune encountered a mysterious guy.
