Chapter 019: Higher Dragons

获得主角能力的我只想过平凡生活 · 第019章 高等龙族

There are many dragon races across the myriad worlds, but not every type of dragon practices magic.

For instance, Smaug, whom Wang Bo encountered in Middle-earth, was a creature of considerable strength, enormous in size, with a body impervious to blades and bullets, and capable of spewing dragonfire.

He single-handedly defeated the dwarves of a kingdom and seized all their wealth.

However, he could not use magic.

There are many such dragons, and some even lack intelligence, being little more than beasts. In comparison, the intelligent Smaug could certainly be considered an outstanding dragon.

The dragons now flying over Tokyo belong to the kind that cannot use magic and lack intelligence.

Rather than calling them dragons, it would be more accurate to describe them as beasts that resemble dragons.

This is akin to the relationship between humans and monkeys.

Although human ancestors evolved from monkeys, Wang Bo believed that modern humans do not regard monkeys as their own kind.

By analogy, intelligent dragons probably do not consider these mindless beasts as their kin either.

Perhaps upon seeing these dragons, they would even blast them with a breath of dragonfire.

Too shameful; you should quit the group.

Standing on Tokyo Tower, Wang Bo roughly counted and found that over four hundred dragons had invaded Tokyo, all of them mindless beasts.

But it was undeniable that while their intelligence was pitiful, their physical defense did not disgrace the dragon race.

Ordinary bullets striking a dragon's body were useless except for tickling it.

Even armor-piercing rounds might not necessarily breach a dragon's defense.

Unless it was a missile.

Only missiles of immense power could break through these dragons' defenses, tear open their skin and scales, and inflict severe damage.

This point was crucial.

It meant that humanity was not entirely helpless, but eliminating over four hundred dragons in a short time was no easy task.

Moreover, these dragons could fly at considerable speed; they were not stationary targets.

Hunting these dragons posed a tremendous challenge for the people of Tokyo.

Thus, when Wang Bo arrived in Tokyo, the local forces had only killed a dozen or so dragons, while many more continued to wreak havoc unchecked.

Meanwhile, Wang Bo turned his gaze to Hela.

He had sent Hela here precisely to curb such a situation; heaven knew what she was up to, why she had not yet acted.

Wang Bo looked around and was somewhat startled, for he found no trace of Hela in Tokyo.

Hela seemed to have vanished completely, without a trace.

Wang Bo frowned. Where on earth had that woman gone?

Could it be that Hela truly intended to turn against him, no longer obeying his orders? Who had given her the courage to defy him before her wings were fully grown?

If so, she might never return to her own world.

Though filled with doubts, Wang Bo did not hesitate. He summoned a dragon from his temporal villa.

This was one of Wang Bo's trusted lieutenants.

The Red Dragon Margaret.

This dragon ruled over all the dragons under Wang Bo's command and was a higher dragon that had undergone transformation.

Upon emerging, Margaret could not help but let out a melodious dragon roar.

Aoooonnn~~~

In an instant, the roar swept across Tokyo like a tidal wave, powerful and surging magic like a tsunami or avalanche, causing ripples to spread through the void.

As the magic swept over the fighter jets in the sky, their instrument panels, control systems, and even engines malfunctioned.

One after another, the fighter jets fell from the sky like broken-winged butterflies, wobbling and spiraling downward.

However, once they descended below a certain altitude, the instrument panels, systems, and engines returned to normal.

The pilots rejoiced and quickly maneuvered their planes away from Margaret.

"Master," Margaret said, bowing her head.

Wang Bo pointed at the dragons still destroying Tokyo and said calmly, "Can you subdue these dragons without issue?"

Although these dragons lacked intelligence and were mere beasts, they were still dragons.

And Wang Bo had no shortage of resources; he could use the magic pool to forcibly awaken their intelligence and evolve them into true dragons.

Thus, Wang Bo could form a dragon knight legion.

Such a legion would be no less formidable than Asgard's Valkyrie corps.

With a series of equipment, they could roam the stars and even enter higher realms without disgrace.

The Red Dragon Margaret looked down at these mindless dragons and nodded. "No problem at all, my master."

"Then go ahead," Wang Bo said calmly.

The Red Dragon nodded, spread her wings, stirring up turbulent winds, and soared into the sky. In an instant, she was high above, opening her mouth to release another roar.

The dragon might of a higher dragon spread out overwhelmingly, sweeping across a third of Tokyo.

The dragon might of a higher dragon was like the Conqueror's Haki in the world of One Piece, but even more terrifying, capable of not only intimidating the mind but also interfering with reality.

Ordinary people caught in the dragon might rolled their eyes and fainted.

Some of the timid even lost control of their bowels.

Even the pilots who had distanced themselves in their fighter jets were affected, fainting instantly, and their失控 planes plunged straight toward the ground.

Seeing this, Wang Bo frowned, but ultimately could not bear it. He raised his hand and teleported the失控 fighter jets over the sea.

As for the pilots inside, Wang Bo moved them out and dropped them into Tokyo Park.

The dragons that had been destroying Tokyo, sensing the dragon might of a higher dragon, spread their wings and let out resounding roars.

It was as if they were echoing or paying homage.

Although dragons did not have as strict a hierarchy as vampires, higher dragons still exerted an unimaginable压制 over lower dragons, especially these mindless beastly ones.

With just one roar, the Red Dragon Margaret effortlessly made all the dragons stop their destruction. They spread their wings, flew to Margaret's side, and bowed their heads.

As if paying court to their king.

Seeing this, Wang Bo nodded with satisfaction.
