Chapter 008: Titan

获得主角能力的我只想过平凡生活 · 第008章 泰坦星

To be honest, this result surprised Nebula. She had expected a big fight, but these mercenaries reacted far too slowly—they were a disgrace to mercenaries.

She really couldn't understand how these guys had managed to survive until now.

Could they be a bunch of rookies?

Various thoughts flashed through Nebula's mind, but she quickly fumbled for the key to open the spaceship hatch from the dead mercenary and walked toward the mercenaries' ship.

There was still a monster here, and it was not a place to linger. She couldn't wait to leave this godforsaken place.

Wang Bo saw this and silently followed her.

After Nebula entered the ship, she began searching for the mercenaries left behind. Wang Bo followed closely, helping Nebula eliminate the mercenaries inside.

When Nebula killed the last mercenary, she threw away her gun.

Confirmed: these mercenaries were definitely greenhorns.

Expressionless, she entered the ship's control center, started the engines, and the ship roared to life, slowly detaching from the warehouse, exiting the desolate land, and heading into the vast cosmos.

Wang Bo found a spot and waited quietly.

He knew exactly where Nebula was headed. She was one of Thanos's agents placed beside Ronan. Now that Ronan was dead, Nebula would naturally report back to Thanos.

As long as Wang Bo stayed with Nebula, he could find the cosmic tyrant.

And then kill Thanos.

After escaping the desolate land, Nebula immediately initiated a space jump.

Whoosh!

With one space jump, covering who knew how many light-years, the desolate land was far behind. Nebula couldn't help but breathe a sigh of relief.

Now, that monster shouldn't be able to catch up.

So she contacted her old father, Thanos, through the ship's communication device.

A flash of light flickered in the ship's control center, and a three-dimensional hologram formed—the towering figure of Thanos.

Wang Bo, hiding in the shadows, observed this but made no sound.

Thanos didn't detect Wang Bo's presence; after all, he was just a projection. He quietly watched his daughter, listening to her report.

Nebula recounted everything she had encountered, emphasizing Wang Bo's power.

How he killed Ronan in one blow, how his eyes fired lasers to destroy ships—she praised Wang Bo to the skies.

Finally, she added, "I suspect the Infinity Stones have fallen into that man's hands. Only the Infinity Stones could grant him such immense power."

Hearing this, Wang Bo rolled his eyes. That suspicion was completely off base.

Did she have so little regard for Superman?

After listening to Nebula's rather unreliable speculation, Thanos did not agree. His gaze darkened, and after a moment, he said, "I have a new mission for you."

Nebula immediately knelt, indicating her willingness to accept the mission.

Thanos said, "Investigate that man's identity."

Nebula's face showed shock and unease. She was truly terrified by Wang Bo's strength; if she fell into his hands, she would surely die.

Thanos said, "I will send Corvus Glaive to assist you."

Then it was fine.

Having served Thanos for years, Nebula knew the terror of Corvus Glaive. As the leader of the Black Order, his strength was unquestionable.

"This time, I won't let you down," Nebula said confidently.

Thanos nodded, gave her an address to rendezvous with Corvus Glaive, and cut off communication.

Wang Bo sighed at this.

He had planned to hide on the ship and follow it back to Thanos's lair.

But it seemed Nebula, having accepted a new mission, had no intention of returning to Thanos's base.

That wouldn't do.

Wouldn't that completely disrupt his plan?

So Wang Bo immediately revealed himself, appearing before Nebula. Seeing him, Nebula was horrified; she hadn't expected Wang Bo to have followed her onto the ship.

She had never escaped his grasp.

"You..."

"Illusion Demon Fist!"

Wang Bo threw a punch. Nebula's horrified expression instantly calmed. She looked at Wang Bo, slowly lowered her head, and said, "Master."

The Illusion Demon Fist, like the Galaxy Explosion, was a technique of the Gemini Saint.

This move attacks the opponent's brain nerves at light speed, completely controlling the brain. The victim becomes hypnotized and obeys the user's commands, like a puppet.

Unless the victim kills the person designated by the user, they will never wake up.

When the victim is violently attacked, they become extremely ferocious, quickly turning into a killing demon, fighting until the opponent is dead.

But once the target is killed, the technique's effect is lifted, and the victim may feel guilt or even collapse from the sins committed.

Wang Bo used this punch to control Nebula.

"Take me to Thanos," Wang Bo said.

Nebula nodded without hesitation, sat in the pilot's seat, and initiated a second space jump.

About five minutes after the second jump, Nebula initiated a third.

Thereafter, every five minutes, she made another jump.

Several hours later, Nebula finally brought Wang Bo to a massive planet.

Titan, also known as Saturn's moon.

This was once Thanos's homeworld, but overexploitation by his people led to Titan's doom, and his people perished in the apocalypse.

This situation led Thanos to want to wipe out half of all life in the universe to maintain cosmic balance.

As the ship entered Titan, Nebula began to look around, searching for Thanos.

Above the desolate Titan hung a massive spaceship.

That was Thanos's lair.

Wang Bo's gaze pierced the ship's hull, saw inside, and fixed on Thanos.

When his eyes fell on Thanos, Thanos immediately felt watched, looked up, and their gazes met in midair.

The next second, Wang Bo took a step, teleported out of Nebula's ship, and entered Thanos's ship directly, seeing Thanos seated on his throne.
