Chapter 021: Mutual Destruction

获得主角能力的我只想过平凡生活 · 第021章 两败俱伤

The Stormbreaker, which had flown away, flew back again, this time unhindered into the hands of Thor, the God of Thunder.

The moment the Stormbreaker was in his grasp, the lightning on Thor's body blazed even brighter. He raised the axe high and struck at Hela. The axe tore through the void, and as it descended, the blade erupted with dazzling lightning, once again sealing off Hela's retreat.

Hela gritted her teeth, swung her longsword, and held it above her head, barely blocking the blow of the Stormbreaker.

But the immense force from the Stormbreaker forced her to kneel involuntarily.

With a thud, she knelt before Thor, her own brother.

This realization made Hela's face flush red. She had never taken her foolish brother seriously; in her eyes, no one in all of Asgard mattered except her old father.

That was the main reason she had agreed to the three-day truce.

Because she believed that in three days, Thor couldn't stir up any trouble.

But the facts told her that when facing the protagonist, even one day could bring a complete transformation, let alone three.

With the Stormbreaker, Thor was practically a god among gods.

Kneeling before her brother ignited a blaze of fury within Hela. The death divine power within her instantly boiled, and the terrible death force traveled through her sword, transmitting to Thor's body.

But the moment it entered the Stormbreaker, it was swept away and annihilated by the fearsome lightning.

"Perhaps you should have agreed to my earlier request, my sister," said Thor, now in the upper hand, in a low voice. "If you surrender now, it's not too late."

Hela suppressed the rage in her heart and looked up at her brother.

"Do you think you've won?"

She snorted coldly. In the past, when fighting alongside Odin, she had faced disadvantages, even more desperate situations than this.

Thinking she would surrender just because she was at a disadvantage was far too naive.

Hela shot two laser beams from her eyes, striking Thor directly in the face and blasting him away.

Gasps erupted from the crowd.

No one had expected that Thor, who had been dominating the fight, would suffer such a heavy blow.

Loki stood beside Odin, squinting as he watched the battle in the arena. He could see that this so-called sister of his was no less skilled in magic than any master, even in close combat.

Including himself.

Winning would not be easy for Thor.

Wang Bo rubbed his chin, continuing to watch the fight.

After being suppressed in close combat by Thor, Hela realized she couldn't gain an advantage in melee, so she changed tactics and used magic.

After blasting Thor away, she took a step forward and vanished into thin air before he could react.

In an instant, she became completely invisible.

After being blasted away, Thor quickly regrouped, but before he could react, he found Hela had disappeared.

He wasn't stupid; he immediately understood that Hela had used an invisibility spell to conceal herself.

So he quickly activated his divine power, forming a layer of lightning force field around him, carefully searching for Hela's whereabouts.

Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!

At that moment, three giant swords flew in from three directions, piercing his lightning force field and disrupting his perception.

Thor swung the Stormbreaker, knocking the three swords away.

But the next second, it felt as if someone had kicked him in the chest.

With a dull thud, Thor flew hundreds of meters and slammed into the wall of the arena, shaking the entire structure.

Then another sword flew toward Thor's head.

Thor tilted his head, and the sword grazed his cheek, embedding itself in the wall behind him.

Alarming cracks spread rapidly.

A trickle of blood flowed down Thor's cheek.

Hela's voice came from all directions: "Next time, I'll aim for your heart."

"No, you won't have the chance," Thor said, gripping the Stormbreaker as he soared into the air. Massive amounts of lightning gathered on the axe head, forming a huge ball of lightning.

The lightning ball, about the size of a washbasin, emitted arcs of electricity, a terrifying sight.

Thor hurled it with all his might, and the lightning ball shot toward the ground.

The next second, the lightning ball hit the ground and exploded with a roar.

In an instant, terrifying lightning swept across the arena, forcibly breaking the invisibility spell, and Hela's figure appeared in the arena.

Thor exerted all his strength and hurled the Stormbreaker.

This time, he had to land a decisive blow.

The Stormbreaker howled as it cleaved Hela in two, but unfortunately, it was another illusion.

The real Hela had already flown into the sky, closing in on Thor, her longsword thrusting toward his chest.

Pfft!

Thor's chest was pierced by the sword, blood splattering.

Hela's figure slowly materialized, a mocking smile on her face. "Falling for the same trick over and over again, you're truly unfit to be a king, my foolish brother."

Thor was severely wounded, but his eyes were brighter than ever.

"You're the one who fell for it, my sister."

"What?"

Hela was startled, suddenly realizing that Thor had grabbed her wrist, and the Stormbreaker, which had been thrown, was back in his hand.

In an instant, an explosive surge of lightning power erupted from Thor's body.

The blazing lightning, almost unstoppable, pierced through Hela's body in a flash.

Seeing this, Wang Bo couldn't help but sigh.

Thor was a ruthless man, willing to suffer severe injury just to teach Hela a harsh lesson. This was a strategy of mutual destruction; now it came down to who could endure more.

Hela's body was pierced by the lightning, and she couldn't help but let out a hysterical scream.

To defeat his sister, Thor, despite being gravely wounded, had squeezed out every ounce of his power, making the lightning force incredibly potent.

Even Odin would be half-dead from such a blow.

Let alone Hela.

More importantly, Thor still held the Stormbreaker. After blasting Hela with lightning, he swung the Stormbreaker with all his might.

The howling blade cleaved half of Hela's body.

The people of Asgard were incredibly resilient, and Hela was among the strongest. Even with half her body split open, she wouldn't die, but she would certainly lose all combat capability.

"I win, sister," Thor said, releasing his grip and letting Hela fall to the ground. Gritting his teeth, he pulled the sword from his chest, supporting himself with the axe, and spoke breathlessly.
