Chapter 016: Emperors Take Turns

With such a powerful weapon, the Rebel Alliance would have the capital to confront the Galactic Empire.

"Lord Wang Bo, I have a request, though I'm not sure if I should voice it."

Obi-Wan glanced at Wang Bo and introduced, "This is Leia, daughter of Senator Bail Organa, leader of the Rebel Alliance."

Leia?

Wang Bo suddenly remembered, because the name was too familiar.

In the seventh installment of Star Wars that Wang Bo had watched, Leia also appeared, but by then she was no longer part of the Rebel Alliance but the leader of the Resistance.

This Resistance was a relatively independent military resistance movement she had formed within the New Republic. The organization was originally intended to prepare for a possible war. Although most political brokers in the New Republic tolerated the Resistance's existence, they regarded Organa and her fighters as hopeless people, unfortunately stuck in the past.

But no one expected that shortly after the New Republic was established, the First Order would rise and defeat it, making the Resistance useful, specifically targeting the First Order.

Moreover, Leia had another identity.

She was Darth Vader's daughter and Luke's sister.

Apart from the famous father-son meme "I am your father," the relationship between Luke and Leia as siblings was also widely discussed.

Wang Bo smiled and said, "Sorry, I have no intention of selling the Death Star."

"What do you mean?" Obi-Wan was puzzled.

Wang Bo smiled mysteriously, didn't explain, and instead said to everyone, "Come, I'll take you to tour my Death Star."

Obi-Wan and the others looked at each other, not understanding what Wang Bo was up to, but no one objected.

So Wang Bo summoned Governor Tarkin and asked him to lead their group on a tour of the Death Star.

After all, he himself didn't know much about the Death Star.

Leia was initially skeptical of Wang Bo's words, but when she saw Governor Tarkin appear, she couldn't help but freeze, because the Tarkin standing before her was far too young.

The once white-haired Governor Tarkin now looked at most in his early thirties.

With thick black hair and full of energy, if Leia hadn't seen photos of a young Governor Tarkin that looked exactly like this, she would have thought he was Tarkin's grandson.

"Yes," Governor Tarkin said calmly.

"What is going on?" Leia couldn't help but look at Wang Bo. She knew who the Emperor of the Galactic Empire was, and it was definitely not Wang Bo.

Wang Bo said with a half-smile, "What do you mean? Don't you already have an idea in your heart?"

Leia's heart skipped a beat, and her face was full of shock.

Luke and Han Solo, however, were baffled, looking at each other, not understanding why Leia's expression had turned so grim.

Obi-Wan also seemed to realize something, opened his mouth as if to speak, but fell silent.

Leia took a deep breath, calmed down, and said, "Do you really intend to become the Emperor of the Galactic Empire?"

"Emperors take turns; today it's my turn. Is there a problem?"

Leia said, "How could an outsider like you become the Emperor of the Galactic Empire?"

Wang Bo said calmly, "Do you believe that?"

He, an outsider, had become the supreme commander of the Death Star; what was impossible about becoming Emperor?
